Chapter Seventy-Seven – His crazy wolf.
Jaden’s POV
Beatrice was a Beta, and mother of a kid. How could the Lycan just take her within seconds of him leaving?
Dara confirmed that she wasn’t getting her in mind link. Rihanna looked distraught.
She was sure it was the Lycan that had spoken to her through mind link. Meaning he literally broke her mind link.
If he was able to do that, then he was powerful. Nothing ‘sick’ about him.
“I told you not to trust him. He needs your energy for something devious and would go any length to get it.” I said lowly.
She was already regretting, I shouldn’t be adding to it. Dara ran back to us. “A warrior sighted him pass our border now. He has Beatrice.”
Rihanna ran out before I could ask Dara where exactly. I ran behind her to make sure she didn’t get hurt.
“Put her down!” I heard a growl.
I was awestruck seeing Rihanna shift to her silver wolf in front of me.
There was an art to her shifting, the bending, the way hairs filled her skin, the glow under the sky of the silvery fur. But I didn’t dwell in all that.
The Lycan was still in human form and Beatrice was unconscious under him. He had knocked her out when she wasn’t expecting.
“I asked and you didn’t answer. If you won’t participate in sorcery for my sake, will you do it for your pack member?” he smirked.
Rihanna snarled, advancing towards him but his eyes glowed red and she went back.
I came between them. “So what do you plan to do now? Cause a fight between her and you?”
“Stop asking me what I plan to do, boy. I need her energy and she isn’t giving it!” he shouted, frustration clearly in his tone.
“You don’t need it, you want it.” I reminded. “I feel you want to bring a reason to get in war with Werewolfs. One that’d go down in history.”
“You speak a lot of nonsense.” He sighed, looking down at the wolf below him. “If I kill her, perhaps you’d start speaking my language?”
He picked Beatrice up like she weighed nothing but before he could strike, Rihanna charged at him, biting the arm he used to hold Beatrice.
He let go of the Beta and flung Rihanna off, she landed on her feet and charged at him again.
I reached for Beatrice before she landed on the ground with her head. The Lycan was thrown to a tree and Your Silver howled into the air.
If she was calling her warriors, that wasn’t going to end well. I placed the Beta down to help but Dara came with hunters who took her away.
“Protect our Alpha!” She said to me, before leaving with Beatrice.
I exhaled, then tried to look for the two.
Around a rock, they were prancing around each other. When I tried to join them, she growled at me to stay away so I peacefully backed off.
I also noticed she had a barrier on so I didn’t make it obvious to the Lycan.
As the Lycan ran towards her, he was thrown back, crashing on another tree.
Rihanna’s wolf hopped excitedly and jumped atop the Lycan, snarling at his face.
Was a barrier supposed to throw him off like that? High ranked wolfs weren’t supposed to be very affected by it.
“You seem to know that your barrier is his weakness for some reasons.” I said, digging my claws to his hands to immobilize him.
Rihanna did the same to his legs, he groaned in pain. My wolf came to surface, feeling intense satisfaction from his pain.
The Lycan stared into my eyes and for a moment, I felt he could see my wolf’s desire to see him keep bleeding.
His eyes glowed brighter and enlarged, I could literally see energy glowing in him.
He was growing bigger, shifting to his Lycan self. It will be hard to pin him down as he would grow double in height.
By impulse, to protect his mate, my wolf zapped his claws past the Lycan’s face, injuring his eyes and making scars.
He stopped growing and rolled down the tree, falling to the ground. Rihanna looked at me strangely like I had further infuriated him.
My wolf pushed me further to zap through his neck, immobilizing him. How did he know those spots weakened him?
My claws were bloody and I was beginning to tap to my wolf’s desire for more blood.
“You should stay down, Lycan King. Or I’d make more marks on you.” I warned, genuinely hoping he wouldn’t infuriate my wolf.
“You grew up crazy, didn’t you!” he choked on his words, still holding his injured neck.
Him calling me crazy, pleased me but I masked it with a frown, I turned to Rihanna. She still looked at me strangely then she backed away.
“We don’t kill him?” I asked her, disappointment in my tone as I already knew what her answer would be.
Her wolf nodded, and began moving away.
I snapped my head back at the Lycan. He met my gaze. “Be a good boy and leave.” He said, trying to get up.
I stood there, watching, waiting if he’d give me another chance to spill his blood. He got up and held on a tree but he slipped, falling again.
His claws drew marks as he slid down. My eyes went to the tree, those marks looked familiar.
Like the ones that were on Rihanna’s trees the past days and the ones that raided my roses.
“You are the other Lycan, aren’t you?” I marched to him.
He froze, then glared at me. “Other Lycan?”
“You were the Lycan who was stalking Rihanna packs and raided my rose valley!” I barked. Aren’t you?”
His lips twitched. “Did you think it was another Lycan?”
He sounded mockingly, like he was speaking to a fool. My claws shot out and I pointed at him. “You know I wouldn’t hesitate to use them.”
He nodded. “Why would you? You are the first wolf using your claws to give me a good wound. You are one of a kind.”
My claws retracted. I shook my head. “You are crazy. Stay away from her pack and mine. Go torment Red Moon who captured you.”
He smirked and I began walking away.
“Don’t be a fool, I let them capture me.” He said.
My face squeezed. “You did?”
When I looked at him, he was gone. Like he disappeared. But then I had felt the wind pass me when I had begun walking away.
He had let Red Moon capture him? Which meant everything he had done was a plan? Did he plan for Rihanna to capture him too?
“He is a smart Lycan, I really relate with him.” My wolf smirked.
I frowned. “You showed your psycho self to him and our mate. Just stay away.”
He scoffed and went silent. I stared at where the Lycan had ran to.
If he had planned everything till now, what exactly was his purpose?
It was surely not good. And was surely targeted against my mate.
