Zeeb stand by the corner of his room. Omarr sat beside Odolf on the bed in Zeeb’s room. The three of them had been silent. No one knows what they could use to start the discussion. Most times whenever they want to start any discussion, it always start with talking about Shane Moss. But now they cannot talk about Shane Moss. Not with the recent stunt he pulled on both of them. It was annoying but they chose not to talk about it. How could he?
How could a man they trust so much, a man they are willing to lay their lives for use his Alpha will on them. It’s condescending to know that as close as they are to him, in his moment of anger, he did that to them.
But none of them wants to talk about it. They don’t know how it will be perceived by the others. Ralph came in.
“Guys! Alpha Shane is back. Does anyone know where he went to?” Ralph said. He read the room after he announced his presence.
“Oh! You already know. You just don’t want to talk about it?” Ralph asked the three of them.
“What’s there for us to talk about?” Odolf snapped.
“Everything!” Omarr said.
“Yes. Everything. We cannot deny the fact that he did that to us,” Zeeb said.
“I still think we need to forget it. We should tell him to apologize,” Ralph suggested.
“Apologize? I wish you were there to see his reaction or experience what he did to Omarr,” Zeeb said.
“It’s not like I don’t trust Omarr, but what did you say to him?” Ralph asked.
“How many times am I going bto answer this question? Eh Ralph? Is it because I am saying something you don’t want to hear? You want to keep defending him right? See you and Shane are the same,” Omarr growled.
“I am not an Alpha,” Ralph smiled. Odolf snickered.
“You both are defending lost causes,” Omarr snapped. Ralph walked closer to him.
“Is that true? I am defending a lost cause? Is that what this is about? That he wants to save someone he lost?” Ralph growled at Omarr.
“Not lost. Saving a dead man,” Omarr replied. He stood up and faced Ralph.
“Hey! Knock it off both of you,” Zeeb interfered.
“Listen, I understand why Omarr is angry. He has every right to be angry, okay? But anger is not the way. And for you Ralph, just because you did not experience something does not mean you should not empathise with someone’s pain. At least…” Zeeb raised his hands. He has nothing else to say. He dropped his hands and sighed. He walked away from both of them and walk towards the window. He heard the door open behind him, their three friends came in. He turned to look at them.
“Ah! Welcome. Thank God you are here,” Zeeb smiled. His smile did not live for long. Right behind those guys is Alpha Shane Moss. Zeeb, Odolf, Ralph and Omarr went on their knees.
“Good afternoon, Alpha Shane Moss. To what do we owe this pleasure?” They greeted while bowing.
“Come on guys! We have gone past this,” he opened his arms and walked towards Omarr to give him a hug. Omar moved back.
“Seriously?” Shane Moss frowned.
“I am sorry guys. Like I really am. If I am not, I will not be here. Believe me, I am sorry,” he said and went closer to Omarr. Omarr did not move nor did he reciprocate the hug. He just stood there for the 10 seconds Shane Moss used in hugging him. Shane Moss moved over to Zeeb.
“I am sorry man, I never should have used such language on you,” Shane Moss apologized. Zeeb reciprocated his hug.
“Ah! This is nice. I miss you guys,” Shane moss said.
“I am sorry everyone. I am sorry,” he apologized again. Omarr went closer to him. He looked him dead in the eye.
“No more using of Alpha’s will on us,” Omarr proposed.
“And no more harshness,” Zeeb added.
“Then no more discussion about Benjamin,” they all kept mute.
