However, Robin had just walked out when he beckoned over a Wolfman Guard who came up.
“Keep a close eye on Rocco Lewis,” Robin said.
“Yes, sir,” the Wolfman Guard took the order.
Rocco Lewis probably wouldn’t even think that Robin would specially assign a Wolfman Guard to watch over him. If he knew, he would probably let out a cry and burst into tears. Having a Wolfman Guard keeping an eye on him meant he had nowhere to hide.
What virtues and talents did Rocco Lewis have that allowed a Wolfman Guard to keep watch over him?
This was also for Rocco Lewis’ own good. The guy was not young anymore. Continuing to fool around would lead to nothing. Moreover, Lisa Anderson was not bad, pretty and from a good family.
Let this guy fully enjoy eating soft rice.
“The number one soft rice eater in Kisia?”
Robin suddenly realized that if Rocco Lewis really started eating soft rice, this guy would probably become the number one soft rice eater in Kisia. However, he still had some backbone and ability too. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to get by smoothly everywhere.
“Let you enjoy yourself for a few days,” Robin shook his head and completely left this place.
However, he was in no hurry to leave Hans City. Instead, he took a stroll and arrived at a riverside. Here, an old man was working out and others were practicing Tai Chi. Robin walked up to one of the seniors and asked, “Master Shadow, you’ve exposed yourself.”
That senior immediately jumped up with his feet and fled.
Yes, he fled.
He didn’t even think about exchanging blows with this person. Everyone knew how terrifying he was.
However, Robin said impassively, “Shadow, do you think you can escape? Stop. Tell me some inside information about the Temples and I’ll let you go. I always keep my word.”
Shadow’s body suddenly stiffened.
He didn’t run anymore.
Because he felt a strong killing intent that had locked him in place. He couldn’t escape.
“Primus Master, let’s talk this through!” Shadow slowly turned around and smiled.
But he cursed in his heart. How was he found out?
He was one of the twelve Agents of the Temples who had originally come to kill Nightowl but didn’t get to it. Later, the Temples were frantically hunted down by the major forces of Mountland.
In the end, only a few remained.
After that, they met a woman, a devilish woman, who filled their bodies with bugs that gnawed on them one by one.
In the end, only he escaped. But he didn’t expect that even though he was the only one who got away, Kisia Primus still found him. Despair filled his heart.
“What’s there to be afraid of? I didn’t kill you back then and won’t kill you now,” Robin patted him on the shoulder and said.
Of course he wouldn’t say he had locked onto him through his “energy.” Everyone had their own aura which represented their essence. Ordinary people couldn’t sense it but Robin had reached a stage where he could.
He remembered Shadow’s aura.
So after walking around the city for a bit, he was able to discover him.
“I’ll get you to help me with something. To the southeast, there’s someone in a tree looking at us through binoculars. He’s one of yours but not your man. Clearly monitoring you. So I want you to kill him. If you do, I’ll let you join my faction. What do you say?” Robin said lightly.
“Impossible. I won’t betray the Temples,” Shadow shook his head.
Betraying the Temples was out of the question. His faith was in the Temples.
“I see. Then forget it,” Robin accepted his answer without surprise and left without another word.
“That’s it? Really not killing me?” Shadow was taken aback.
He was found but actually not killed.
Really?
He couldn’t figure out what Robin was thinking. But a while later, his expression changed. He understood and his body flashed, appearing at the location Robin had pointed out shortly after.
There really was someone there.
One of the Temples’ men but not his.
“Shadow, have you come to silence me?” the Temples’ man looked at Shadow.
“No,” Shadow shook his head, “I just came to explain to you that I have no dealings with Robin. He took the initiative to find me today just to sow discord between me and the Temples.”
“Is that so?” The assassin cautiously eyed Shadow.
“Of course,” Shadow nodded.
But the next second, that assassin’s body flashed as he started to flee while Shadow was stunned before starting to give chase. That assassin doubted him. He was actually doubting him!
At this point, the killing intent in Shadow’s eyes grew stronger. He must kill this assassin. Otherwise, when he returned, the Temples would surely doubt him.
The assassin wanted to escape but how could he escape Shadow? Shadow was one of the twelve Agents. In just a few minutes, he caught up and stabbed a dagger into the assassin’s chest.
“Die,” Shadow said coldly.
“Shadow… you, one of the twelve Agents, have actually betrayed the Temples. You… the Temples will punish you… the Temples will punish you…” the assassin fell to the ground with a dagger in his chest, gasping out.
“Punish? How will you punish me? Who will know it was me who killed you? No, I didn’t kill you. This is Hans City, Kisia Primus’s turf now. It was Kisia Primus who killed you, understand?” Shadow revealed a hint of a sinister smile.
It wasn’t me who killed you.
It was Robin. It had nothing to do with me.
But the assassin said at last, “Useless… the task of monitoring you this time wasn’t just me… the other has probably already escaped to somewhere safe… Shadow… you’ll be killed by Lord Fisher… you’ve betrayed the Lord…”
“There’s another one?” Shadow gnashed his teeth, wanting to ask more but realized the assassin had died. He hurriedly returned to the previous spot and found traces indicating someone else had been there too.
There were two monitoring him.
He killed one and one escaped.
“Robin, why did you only tell me about one? Now I’ve really jumped into water I can’t wash myself clear of,” Shadow howled at the original spot.
He had become a traitor of the Temples for no reason.
And it was confirmed now.
He couldn’t return to the Temples anymore.
