Chapter 400: It’s Not Smacking Face to Gain Weight!

Book:The Warlord Is Back Published:2024-5-31

After Robin and the others left, Mary Houry was still seething. However, just then, a man came over holding a bottle of water and embraced Mary Houry, “My baby, darling, what happened? Why does your face look so bad?”
“I was angered by that worthless son-in-law of our family.” Mary Houry was fuming, but seeing this man calmed her down, and she leaned into this man’s arms, “Eliott Garner, you’re so much better, so upright, unlike that guy who stole your credit.”
This man was indeed Eliott Garner. Ever since he was driven out by the Haynes family, he managed to hook up with Mary Houry. Although Mary Houry wasn’t much of a person, she had a good son-in-law. In St. Sunday, she still had some reputation. Therefore, Mary Houry had become valuable.
“That’s right.” Eliott Garner chuckled, sat down, and said, “Mr. Haynes, now that you know the truth, you’re grateful to me. I still have a big reputation in St. Sunday. Following me, you won’t lose out in St. Sunday.”
The matters of the Haynes family hadn’t spread, so very few people knew that he had been driven out of the Haynes family. Therefore, when it came to boasting, he was the best at it.
“Yes, darling.” Mary Houry snuggled up to Eliott Garner. Although she was already married and had two children, David Houry and Snowy Houry, her husband at home was already old and couldn’t satisfy her anymore. Eliott Garner was young, capable, handsome, and backed by the Haynes family. Of course, most importantly, he was good in bed. Therefore, the two of them were inseparable.
“Don’t worry, I’ve heard you complain about that worthless son-in-law of your family many times. When I find an opportunity, I will definitely teach him a lesson. You can rest assured. By the way, darling, is this car a gift from you?” Eliott Garner patted his chest and promised, then asked about the car.
Mary Houry was initially going to say that the car was given to her by her son-in-law, but thinking about it, the two of them were together now, it didn’t matter whose it was. So she leaned on Eliott Garner and sweetly said, “Alright, you must help me teach that guy a lesson.” As she spoke, she handed the car keys to Eliott Garner.
“Alright.”
Eliott Garner took the keys and chuckled to himself.
This naive woman, so easily deceived. However, he still had to deal with that waste from the Houry family when he got a chance, after all, he owed them an explanation. But since they were trash, they should be easy to handle.

On the way back.
“Um, I’m sorry, I was just too upset earlier.”
In the car, Alastair Angelo wiped the lipstick off Robin’s face and quickly apologized to him.
But she wasn’t sure if she did it intentionally or not.
“It’s okay, I believe Miss Angelo meant well, she was just trying to help you earlier. You can’t overthink it. If she didn’t know me, I would have kissed you just now. Ugh, that Mary Houry is really annoying.”
Nina grumbled.
“I agree, I’ve never seen such a relative before.”
The taxi driver also chimed in.
He was feeling sick.
What kind of relatives were they? They were barely holding back their mockery.
However, he then said, “Bro, is this address you gave me accurate? This isn’t a slum.”
Landfield House.
Impressive.
This was not a slum, but one of the top properties in all of St. Sunday. There were only a few buildings like it in St. Sunday. The fact that this man had listed this address initially startled him.
But, the next second he thought, perhaps, he was just putting on airs.
After all, the man he had just spoken to mentioned that this man didn’t live or eat well, and his clothes were not very clean, rather plain.
However, you have to know that Robin had just returned from outside, so his clothes couldn’t be that clean.
So, he just thought Robin was pretending, perhaps when he got to that place, he would have to change direction and go to the slums, but the two directions were far apart, so he was considering saving Robin some money.
After all, he didn’t look like a wealthy man.
“No need.”
Robin shook his head.
“Okay.”
Seeing how stubborn Robin was, the driver didn’t say anything in the end, but he secretly thought to himself, such a young man not going down the correct path, trying to pretend to be richer than he is, it must be because of the two beautiful women in the back.
The two women in the back, they were truly beautiful.
One was elegant, refined, a beauty with an artistic temperament.
The other was a quirky and vivacious young girl.
Both were stunning.
He must be trying to impress the two beauties.
“Ah, youth.”
The driver started the car and sighed.
He had already decided that after they got out of the car, he would wait a moment. Robin would surely come back looking for him, and then he would take Robin back to the slums, saving him the need to hail another cab.
Before long, they arrived at Landfield House.
The biggest villa in the community.
“Sir, we’re here.”
The driver stopped the car.
“Thank you.”
After Robin paid the fare, he led them out of the car. However, the driver didn’t leave, but stayed in the car, smoking a cigarette, watching Robin, wondering how he was going to pretend to be richer than he was. He had done the same when he was young.
For the sake of women, trying to appear richer than he was.
Those were his memories, his youth.
Until, with a click, Robin opened the door, leading the two beauties inside. The driver was stunned, completely taken aback, the cigarette in his hand dropping onto his lap, snapping him back to reality.
“What’s going on? He wasn’t pretending to be rich, he is rich.”
The driver was flabbergasted.
“Well, it’s not about youth, it’s about real power. That so-called relative, haha, it’s too funny. Anyone who can live here is either rich or noble. She was actually mocking him, what was she thinking, it’s really speechless.”
The driver laughed. He was laughing at Mary Houry’s ignorance, such a rich relative, being called a poor boy, living in a slum?
He laughed as he turned the car around.
Meanwhile, after entering the room, Alastair Angelo didn’t react much, being a member of a big family herself, but Nina was stunned. She looked at the decor and said, “Brother-in-law, where did you get this house? It’s so grand. You’re acting so differently from before. Also, why do I feel like you’ve become more handsome, with a sharper aura.”
After looking around the room, Nina looked at Robin again. From left to right. She found he had become more handsome. The more she looked, the more she liked him, the more handsome he appeared.
“You guess.”
