Chapter 207 Leslie Calls Elise!

“Is this the unusual person you found from the three families?” Robin Bailey stood on the lawn, glancing at Jeff Reczek.
“Yes,” Jeff Reczek gestured towards the corpse and continued, “but not just him. There are two others, slightly stronger than him. I’d probably need two fingers to deal with them, while this one is only worth one.”
Robin Bailey looked at Six and shook his head. The guy wasn’t bad, actually qualified as an A-grade assassin. Unfortunately, he had run into the madman Jeff Reczek and was instantly killed. What bad luck.
“Can you find out his identity?” Robin Bailey asked.
“No, he didn’t carry any identification, and when he knew he was going to die, he bit the poison he had hidden in his mouth and committed suicide. He should be a suicide soldier to begin with,” Jeff Reczek said with a hint of seriousness on his face.
A suicide soldier with considerable strength. That required a powerful background.
“Interesting,” Robin Bailey said with a faint smile. Then he looked in the direction of the Wraith family and said, “So there are two more? These families are indeed not quite right. However, they have piqued my interest. Who is behind you all? And what is your purpose in coming to Stillwater?”
At first, he only felt something was amiss. Now his suspicions were confirmed, but he wondered about the motives of the three top families in Stillwater, and what their intentions were towards Elise.
“Take care of this,” Robin Bailey instructed Jeff Reczek to dispose of the corpse. Although they often dealt with corpses on the front lines, this was Stillwater, and he still had two young girls to look after.
“Yes,” Jeff Reczek took Six and disappeared.
At that moment, Robin Bailey entered the room where Fiona and Leslie were having a great time. However, when she saw him, she immediately ran over, pouncing on him, rubbing her little face against his, and said in an adorable voice, “Daddy, Daddy, I miss Mommy. I want to call Mommy.”
“Here you go.” A hint of indulgence flashed in Robin Bailey’s eyes as he handed the phone to Leslie.
After receiving the phone, Leslie went outside and dialed a number. Elise had just finished work and felt a sudden tightness in her chest when she saw the call.
“At last, he’s calling me. I almost thought he had gone missing,” Elise bit her lip with a trace of resentment in her eyes.
He had been away for so long. Although she seemed cold on the surface, keeping her distance from Robin Bailey, she was genuinely worried inside.
Elise answered the call, intending to be stern, but a sweet voice came from the other end, “Mommy, Mommy, it’s Leslie.”
“My good girl,” Elise rejoiced.
Leslie had only been away for a day, but it felt like an eternity to Elise. Just one day without seeing her daughter made her heart ache, and her cold, indifferent demeanor vanished in an instant.
“Mommy, Leslie misses you, hehe.” To be honest, Leslie truly missed Elise, which was why she made the call.
“Baby, how are you doing with your dad? What did you have for lunch, and is he treating you well? Don’t be afraid, just tell your mom,” Elise asked.
“Daddy is very nice to Leslie, and he’s always with Leslie. For lunch… there’s a big sister here who’s responsible for making Leslie’s meals,” Leslie replied.
Hearing this, Elise frowned. A big sister? A woman. A woman! There was a woman at that guy’s place!
“Who is that big sister? Is she old or young, pretty or not? Is she close to your dad? What is she doing there?” Elise asked in a series of questions, feeling somewhat nervous.
Why was there a woman? Why would there be a woman? What on earth was Robin Bailey up to?
“Miss Welch is very nice and young. I heard she just graduated from college. And… Leslie heard Miss Welch call Daddy ‘Boss,’ so she must be Daddy’s employee,” Leslie thought for a moment before continuing.
Boss! Hearing this word, Elise breathed a sigh of relief. So she was an employee. Elise had been terrified that Robin Bailey had found another woman behind her back, but now she had her answer. Of course, he wouldn’t do that – the man she had chosen wouldn’t do such a thing.
Knowing she was an employee meant Robin Bailey was indeed starting a business and making money. Elise’s heart warmed up a little. Everything was still fine.
However, Elise still said, “Leslie, give the phone to your dad. I want to have a few words with him.”
“Okay.”
Leslie obediently handed the phone to Robin Bailey. As soon as Robin took the call, he was met with a cold voice, “Tell me honestly, who is that young woman over there? What is your relationship with her?”
Elise planned to make fun of Robin Bailey a bit. She wanted to see if he would admit that she was his employee.
“She’s my employee,” Robin Bailey said, and then he smiled, “Why? Are you jealous? Do you miss me?”
He could sense the strong scent of jealousy.
“Who’s jealous? If everything’s fine, bring Leslie back,” Elise stubbornly replied before hanging up. As she walked home from work, her face was slightly flushed. She covered her chest, feeling her heart pounding.
She really was jealous, she thought. It seemed that she had truly, against her better judgment, fallen in love with Robin Bailey!
Beep-Hearing the beeping sounds, Robin Bailey couldn’t help but grin. This left Melody House, who was preparing fruit nearby, in shock. The man who was always decisive, dominating, and the embodiment of coldness, arrogance, and mystery – Mr. X – was now grinning like a fool!
He was actually grinning!
Oh my. But in the next moment, Melody House had a pretty good idea of what he was grinning about. Most likely, he was on the phone with his wife, as the only person capable of eliciting such a change in the infamous Mr. X was President Elise.
Melody House pouted, her heart filled with intense envy. So envious! Why couldn’t she encounter a prince like that?
Oh my. Why would someone like him, who should only appear in fairy tales show up in her world? The key was that, in this world, she was just a supporting character, not the protagonist!
But she knew her envy was pointless. Mr. X already belonged to President Elise, that lucky woman.
Leslie, noticing the phone call had ended, immediately hugged Robin Bailey’s thigh with a puffed-up face, looking like she was about to cry.
“Boo hoo hoo… Bad Daddy, bad Daddy! I had so many things to tell Mommy, but you made her angry. Bad Daddy, bad Daddy! I want Mommy, I want Mommy.”
