“Bang!”
Robin got off the car. Standing upright, he wore a white shirt and suit pants inside his black coat. He looked overbearing and cold. The mask on his face made him terrifying, gloomy, and mysterious.
Twelve Wolfman Guards were following him. The last time, Robin gathered 30 of them in total. Now, he led 12 of them here after sending the other 18 on another mission. The 12 Wolfman Guards could fight against thousands of soldiers on the battlefield.
“Mr. X, welcome to our Conwyn’s Residence. What can I do for you today?” the butler greeted Robin with a smile. Bradley hadn’t shown up yet, so he decided to buy some time first.
“Looking for someone,” Robin uttered three words. Then he strode into the house.
The butler’s expression changed dramatically. Mr. X wanted to look for someone but entered the house without permission, which was a humiliation for the Conwyn family. “Mr. X, this is our Conwyn family’s property. Once you intrude, it means you’ll be our sworn enemy.”
He knew Mr. X’s power, so he emphasized the words “sworn enemy.”
The Conwyn family was one of the top three influential families in Stillwater. Its sworn enemy sounded terrifying. Most people would retreat after hearing the threat. However, Robin didn’t.
Instead, he said, “The Conwyn family? Who do you think you are? You don’t deserve to be my sworn enemy. As I said, your family will surely be doomed in six days.”
His tone was overbearing, and his words were blunt. All the Conwyns at the gate were taken aback, including several people sent from other families nearby. They didn’t expect Mr. X to be as arrogant as usual.
“How arrogant you are!” The butler was with a good temper. However, he blushed in anger. Pointing at Robin, he snapped, “Mr. X, think you can win against everyone in this world? We don’t deserve it? Our Conwyn family became successful after starting from scratch. No one has ever had the guts to say so.”
“I’m the first one, then.” Robin stopped mid-step and darted at the butler.
“How arrogant! Stop him! Mr. X, you can only enter our Conwyn’s Residence over my dead body today,” said the butler, Tod Conwyn, angrily.
He said so because he was confident. Earlier, he tried to talk to Robin to buy some time, and it worked. The Conwyn family’s security guards had arrived on the scene.
Over 100 security guards had surrounded Robin and his 12 Wolfman Guards. All the security guards arriving were the Conwyn family’s elites. Tod believed they could kill Mr. X and his men for sure.
Robin darted at them and ordered, “Five seconds.”
“OK.”
His Wolfman Guards fanned and pulled out their broadswords sternly. “Swoosh!” Then they fought with the security guards.
“Five seconds? Do you mean you’ll surrender in five? Ha ha ha… Keep dreaming. Our Conwyn family won’t give you a chance to surrender. Since you’ve dropped on our laps…” Tod mocked. However, he broke off before finishing his words.
Five seconds had passed, and the house entrance was covered with dead bodies.
“How… How could it be possible?” Tod sucked in his breath while gaping at the scene in disbelief. All the security guards were the Conwyn family’s elites, training to protect the clan. However, they were gone in five seconds.
“Bang!”
In unison, the Wolfman Guards inserted their broadswords into the sheaths and returned to stand behind Robin quietly, looking as if they were just ordinary servants.
“I asked them to kill the security guards and clean my wan in five seconds,” Robin replied.
After darting at Tod, he entered the house. After taking a few steps, Robin turned around and said, “By the way, Tod Conwyn, I hope you’ll be dead when I come out.”
Tod blacked out in anger, falling to the ground. Blood oozed from his mouth, his eyes blank.
“Has the old man been angered to death?”
“Should be. If I were him, I would be like this as well. Mr. X is too fierce. His men killed three security teams of the Conwyn family in just five seconds.”
“Five seconds! Tod Conwyn hasn’t finished his words yet. It means no one could afford to offend Mr. X. He’s too powerful. No one can tell where his limit is.”
Some onlookers from the families nearby discussed in lower voices. They represented either families or forces in Stillwater. They might not want to offend Mr. X, but they were curious to know more about him. After all, knowing oneself and one’s enemy ensures victory.
After watching the scene, they confirmed that no one could afford to provoke Mr. X in Stillwater, a mysterious man with unlimited power.
Entering the house, Robin ordered, “Find him!”
“Yes, Mr. X!” The 12 Wolfman Guards separated into 12 directions and turned Conwyn’s Residence upside down.
Preston knew how powerful Mr. X was, so he had prepared to stay in his bedroom instead of confronting Mr. X. He didn’t think he had done anything to offend Mr. X, so he wanted to let his father deal with Mr. X alone.
Laying on his bed, Preston was playing a video game.
“Bang!” The door was pushed open, and a man in a black robe entered. He darted at Preston and said, “Found you!”
“What? Excuse me. Who are you looking for? Did you make a mistake? I… I’m not the master of the Conwyn family… You… You can’t let me represent my family.” Preston panicked and wanted to explain. However, it didn’t work.
The Wolfman Guard had Preston’s photo and learned about his appearance before the mission. Robin ordered them to find Preston. Now, the Wolfman Guard found him.
“Go downstairs. Or I’ll kill you. Believe it or not?”
Preston wanted to escape, but an icy broadsword was pressed against his neck. His legs weakened. He knew the man in a black robe would kill him for sure.
Later, Preston was taken to the yard.
“Found him, Mr. X,” the Wolfman Guard said.
“Why did you take me here only?” Preston had thought all the Conwyns had been caught. However, he was the only family member taken to the yard. Although he was Bradley’s oldest son, he didn’t have much power. Nor could he represent his family.
Preston wondered why Mr. X broke into his house and caught him. He didn’t think he had offended Mr. X before.
