Chapter 150 The Last Trap

“The bank card.”
Robin strode towards Keegan, gazing at him icily.
“I…”
Keegan was reluctant to give the bank card to him. However, seeing the men in black behind him, he paled and pulled out the bank card with his trembling hand.
Robin took it over and nodded at Doug, “I’ll leave those scumbags to you. Teach them to know one should have a conscience and only take things belonging to them.”
“Yes, Mr. Bailey.” Doug nodded.
Robin left the scene.
“No! Please don’t! It’s our fault…”
Isaac became so fearful that his legs weakened. He wanted to beg for mercy, but Doug received Robin’s order and wouldn’t let go of Isaac.
“Take them away.”
Bang!
After capturing Isaac, they also caught Keegan, who struggled hard. “I’m Miranda Levis’ father. The young man just now is my son-in-law. You can’t do anything to me. Stop it!”
Although in danger, he was still so shameless.
Doug didn’t care if Robin was his son-in-law. As Robin ordered, he must take them back and teach them a lesson.
Shortly after, the Levis family was taken away.
The underworld gangs had their own methods of dealing with those people, and they would well remember the lesson.
Robin, on the other side, returned to Miranda’s apartment. He put the bank card at the door and knocked.
“Knock. Knock. Knock.”
Then he left.
“Who is it?”
Miranda was all her ears for a while but didn’t get any response. She gingerly opened the door and glanced around. However, she didn’t see anyone but her bank card.
“My bank card? Who sent it back?”
Miranda picked it up and checked her balance, but no penny had been spent. In confusion, she muttered, “Does Keegan Levis suddenly have a conscience?”
“Impossible! He wouldn’t have done so many evil things to me if he had.”
“How did the bank card return? Only Keegan Levis and I know… Oh, Robin Bailey? Really? Impossible! I’m always against him. How could he help me?”
While mumbling, Miranda figured out Robin was the only one possible.
Although she couldn’t and didn’t want to believe it, she was confident Robin had helped her.
After resolving the problem, Robin returned home. He decided to help Miranda through this matter. After all, he still wanted to have his kicks from deducting her annual bonuses, so he couldn’t let her go bankrupt easily.
When he arrived at Houry’s Villa, it was evening.
While having dinner, Robin found Elise looking pale and bothered. He asked with concern, “What’s wrong, Elise?”
“None of your business,” Elise retorted sternly without casting a glance at him.
It was how she always looked–aloof with a strong aura.
She was Lands Corporation’s chairwoman of the board and independently founded an organization with a market value of billions of dollars. She always looked like that to outsiders.
Right then, she had to treat Robin as an outsider.
“Elise, you’ve become smart finally.”
Karen was still thinking about playing Mahjong with her friends. Seeing Elise’s attitude change, she was delighted. In the past few weeks, Elise defended Robin, which annoyed Karen.
Seeing Elise’s attitude, Karen believed something had changed.
“Elise, remember the young men I introduced to you last time…”
Karen pulled out her phone and swiped to browse the young men she liked.
However, Elise immediately jumped to her feet. “Mom, no matter what, I’m still married. Please stop introducing another man to me. I’m full. Please excuse me.”
Although she wanted to distance herself from Robin, she still had morality, so she refused to date any other man.
“You silly girl!” Karen was disappointed.
Then she vented her anger on Robin. “What are you looking at? Let me tell you bluntly. I want a wealthy son-in-law. Not a worthless moron like you. Humph!”
Soon, everyone left the dining room, and Robin stayed to do the cleaning.
He didn’t get angry, taking it as a chance to practice his patience.
However, he couldn’t tell Jeff about this matter. Otherwise, Jeff would definitely tear down Houry’s villa. How ridiculous Primus of Kisia had to do housework and be a live-in son-in-law! That was indeed ridiculous.
A few days later, Robin still sensed something wrong with Elise, who was always thinking of something and absentminded even at home.
Therefore, Robin went to the top floor of the Robin-Sophia Group.
He pushed the door of the president’s office open and entered. Jim was flirting with a secretary. Suddenly, he was shocked by the sound of the door and burst into anger.
“How dare you not knock on the door before entering!”
However, when he saw Robin, he immediately became humble.
“Good day, Mr. Bailey.”
Jim hurriedly walked to him while bowing. Meanwhile, he hinted at the secretary to leave.
“Mr. Jordan, you do have a wonderful life. Is this secretary newly hired?”
Robin glanced at the secretary and could tell she was charming.
“Mr. Bailey, please stop teasing me. Ha ha…” Jim glossed it over.
Robin didn’t want to interfere with Jim’s privacy, as he could tell both parties were willing. After Robin sat on the couch, Jim hurriedly made him some coffee.
If others saw the Robin-Sophia Group’s president humbly make coffee for another man, they would become jaw-slacked.
However, Jim felt honored to do so.
Robin was Primus of Kisia, General Eastern, and one of the most influential men in Kisia. His name could frighten all the citizens in this country, and no one else could be comparable to him.
Not everyone was as lucky as Jim to become Robin’s subordinate.
“Has something happened to Lands Corporation recently?” Robin asked.
“Yes.”
Nodding, Jim continued, “Lands Corporation has recently declined due to operating failures. In a competition against the Nicholson Group, it was set up and lost six million dollars. Lands Corporation would go bankrupt soon, so its owner is looking for a buyer.”
“Mrs. Bailey has left Lands Corporation and cut ties with the Houry family, so it’s good news. That’s why I didn’t inform you, Mr. Bailey.”
Listening to him, Robin remarked thoughtfully, “It’s a trap.”
On the surface, Lands Corporation and Nicholson Group were always opponents right after their founding. Therefore, it wasn’t surprising that Lands Corporation lost.
However, it looked weird.
Lands Corporation went bankrupt at such a critical time when Elise’s Landview gradually developed well.
Robin recalled the implications of Elliott’s gesture last time.
Elliott thought Robin was reckless without business knowledge, so he told Robin to fight smartly. Evidently, he had worked with Lands Corporation to set up a trap.
It wasn’t complex, and Elise would sense something wrong. However, Elliott and Lands Corporation were gambling as they knew how much Elise longed to take over Lands Corporation.
It had been seven years since Elise left the company. During that period, Elise always dreamed of taking her company back.
Therefore, they bet Elise would step into the trap.
