“All junk? You are indeed arrogant!”
A man grinned in disdain and rushed to Robin. Meanwhile, he threw a punch at Robin’s chest to injure him.
The next second, Robin kicked him away.
The man hit the wall and spat several mouthfuls of blood.
“As I said, I don’t need to fight back personally to defeat the junk like you.”
Robin warmed up his ankle.
“You are awesome, Robin! You are my hero!”
Nina waved her fists excitedly, cheering for him.
“You do know how to fight. I’ve seen many tough men like you, but all of them were beaten up. Guys, hit him together!”
A trace of ferociousness flashed through Simon’s face.
“OK.”
Other men rushed towards Robin in unison.
Robin gave each a kick.
In less than 10 seconds, all of Simon’s men rolled and groaned on the ground in pain.
“Holy shit!”
Simon looked baffled while watching the scene, hair standing on end.
He didn’t expect Robin to be THAT difficult to deal with.
Robin won against each of them by giving a kick.
“It’s your turn now.”
Robin looked at Simon.
“Ah… I forgot to turn off the gas in my house. Please excuse me.”
Simon immediately wanted to escape. Before he reached the door, Robin knocked the table over and smashed it onto Simon’s head.
Simon fell to the door.
Kyle and the other two mid-aged men also wanted to escape. However, seeing Simon lying in the blood, they dared not to move.
They never expected to see such a tough guy during the interview today.
“Uh… We know someone who you cannot afford to offend. You’d better let us go. Or you’ll end up miserably,” Kyle threatened Robin.
He had to scare Robin by using his backer’s name.
“You know someone? That’s good.”
Robin chuckled and pulled out his phone to dial a number. “Hello, Jeff. Find me Lacey Willis’ phone number.”
“Roger.”
Jeff sent Lacey’s number to Robin a minute later, and Robin dialed it.
“Hello, this is Lacy Willis,” Lacey’s crisp voice sounded on the phone. Her voice was pleasant to the ear, showing she was a spirited beauty.
However, she was short-tempered.
“This is Robin Bailey.”
“How did you get my personal phone number?”
“It’s not important. Take your squad to No. 24 Mill Street, the South Shore. Hurry up. You should make it in 20 minutes.”
Robin ended the call.
Lacey stared at her phone in a daze. “What the heck? You ordered me. Who do you think you are?”
“You even found my personal number. Think you are awesome?”
“One day, I’ll catch something on you and arrest you.”
Lacey walked out of her office unhappily. Glancing at her team members, she said, “Get ready. Let’s go to No. 24, Mill Street, the South Shore. Arrive in 20 minutes.”
Although reluctant, she knew something must have happened in the place, as Robin called her.
“Gee! Did you call some helpers? No matter who you call, it’ll be useless. In the end, we’ll be set free.”
Kyle looked self-confident.
He was confident in his backer.
However, when Lacey rushed into the room, Kyle cursed, “Shit! How could it be this woman? We’re so doomed.”
Lacey was the most famous policewoman in Stillwater.
She was born to be righteous and abhor evils as deadly foes. She never showed mercy to the bad guys, so no one dared to ask her for mercy.
No matter who wanted to convince her, she would suspect that person to be the criminal’s partner and start investigating him or her. In the end, the person would also be sent to jail.
Therefore, Lacey was known as the most troublesome policewoman in Stillwater.
Kyle was willing to confront anyone but her. However, Robin had called her over, and Kyle didn’t think they would be set free.
“Do the crime scene investigation,” Lacey ordered her teammates.
Then she walked towards Robin, looking at him like he was also a criminal.
“Robin Bailey.”
“Ehn?”
“How did you get my personal number?”
“My friend gave it to me.”
Lacey was too angry that her chest heaved up and down. She thought Robin deliberately checked her. Gritting her teeth, she bit out, “I know you are from an affluent family. Think you are awesome? One day I’ll arrest you. I will never let go of any bad guy.”
“From an affluent family?”
Nina gaped at her and was shocked to hear Robin was from an affluent family.
“Did you make a mistake? My brother-in-law is a poor guy. How could he be from an affluent family? He doesn’t have a dime.”
Nina stared at Lacey in confusion.
“You know nothing.”
Lacey wasn’t in the mood to explain to her. She had decided to fight against Robin but didn’t want to get others involved.
“Huh?”
Nina frowned, looking over at Robin. “Robin Bailey, why did that policewoman say you were from an affluent family?”
“Alas…” Robin sighed.
“I cannot hide it anymore. Honestly speaking, I’m a son of a wealthy family. My family is super rich. My weekly allowance is 200 million dollars.”
“Stop bluffing!”
Nina rolled her eyes at him.
For a moment, she wondered if Robin had told the truth.
However, he bluffed about his weekly allowance, and Nina didn’t buy it.
“You are so shameless. You should stop bluffing and work harder to make money. Remember, you need to earn 400, 000 dollars in six months. Without the money, you’ll divorce Elise.”
Nina poked Robin’s chest to remind him.
Lacey didn’t think Robin was bluffing. When she checked his profile, it was super confidential. She wondered how much the Bailey family had spent to hide Robin’s profile.
Many wealthy men did so to keep their backgrounds confidential.
Lacey wouldn’t have found it if she hadn’t had a unique identity. Therefore, she despised Robin and believed he was one of the rich men who always did evil deeds.
Suddenly, one policeman reported to her, “Captain Willis, this is the criminal gang we’ve been watching. We found more than 50 video clips. There are more than 6 million dollars in their bank account. Besides, they also have a bigwig as their backer.
“A bigwig? Find who he is. Check every detail of this gang. Let’s see who their back is,” Lacey ordered.
She hated such a kind of man the most. No matter how important he was, she would find and punish him.
