For the first time, he wondered why the fragile woman here was able to give him the peace he desired.
He moved closer to her, his hand moved to her masked, wanting to see the beauty beneath the mask.
Suddenly, the promise he made with her resonated in his ears, then he withdrew his hand and moved to her hair, stroking it gently.
He had agreed with the masked girl who wanted to keep her face away from him since she’s afraid of having an eyes contact with him.
Someday, he hopes she will learn to be comfortable around him. He wanted her to be free to him, even if every one is fearful of him, there is someone he wanted to avoid being scared of him.
On different occasion, the king had wanting Evans to call Shastina for him in day break since the masked girl said her name is Shastina but he always tried to refrain from calling her. Wanting her to show herself to him.
After he was done stroking her hair, he tried standing up, but Aurora grabbed his hand in her sleeping state.
“Please don’t leave, I’m scared, they wanted to kill, they wanted to revenge, please save me” She whimpered and cried.
“I’m here with you” The king said, knowing she’s having a dreadful dream.
He moved her hand back to her hair, caressing, hoping for her to have peace in her dream.
He stroked her hair until he was sure Aurora went back to a peaceful sleep state she was having before the dreadful dream.
But the word revenge lingered in his thought until the king ended sleeping beside Aurora on the chair.

Aurora woke up the next day, heartily. Her face held the most effulgent smile. She slipped down from the bed, stretched her hand. Her eyes widened, she caught the glimpse of the surroundings completely unfamiliar.
‘Oh! No way, I slept until now’.
Her hand traveled to her face instantly, wanting to confirm if the mask was still on her face. She let out a deep breath as her hand met with the mask.
She was damn afraid, hoping the king hasn’t tampered with her mask.
Furthermore, she peeked around the room, wanting to find King Malik, but when she didn’t sight his presence, she strode out of the room, to meet him outside the room.
The event of last night came crashing to her brain, from the gold room to when the king volunteer to make coffee for them.
A blushed struck her face, as she remembered that the whole Alpha Malik wanted to make her coffee.
“What have you done to my man? Masked girl” She mumbled as her stomachs giggled in amusement.
With the return of the memory, she rushed to the place she sat with the king last night, wanting to confirm if she drank the coffee. The memory she had didn’t include her drinking the coffee.
She knitted her brows in gloom. Two of cups of untouched coffee remained on the table.
She couldn’t believe she missed a rare opportunity like this. She has yearned to see the king serve her, not the other way round.
She walked closely to the table and picked one out of the cup, she moved the cup close to her nose and perceived the scent, tempted to take a sip out of it.
The coldness of the coffee halted her from taking a sip out of it, she lowered, wanting to drop back the cup.
A voice thundered behind her.
“What are you doing here until this time?” The voice thundered, the cup slipped off her hand and wrecked on the ground.
She swerved around, seeing Evan leaned at the door in the entrance.
“Evans?” She muttered.
“Did you know the time?” Evans asked angrily, he had a furrowed gaze.
He couldn’t believe Aurora would still be here by 6:00 am when she is aware that there will be morning routine checking for everyone in prison by 7:00am.
“What is the time? I don’t have time with me here, moreover, where is the king? I didn’t see him, and I hadn’t informed him what brought me here.
“You asked of the king who arrived in the palace one hour ago” Evans answered, he brought out clothes and throw at Aurora.
“Wear this” He said curtly and walked away.
The expression on Evan’s face interpreted his thoughts to her, she knows that Evans is angry at her, he has warned her to come back to the Palace before the sunrise.
She wore the clothes hurriedly and her face landed on the broken cup on the grounds, wanting to pack, but the fear churning in her stomach couldn’t allow her, she rushed after Evans.
Her mouth widely opened as she stepped out, seeing everywhere looking bright. The Inside was hazy, making it hard for her to know the time.
She climbed the horse and sat at the back, Evans saddled the horse and moved.
“I’m sorry, I woke up late, moreover I don’t when the king leave, I could have left after him immediately” Aurora said soberly after a while.
She knows the consequences of her action if the king found out about the masked girl. She wouldn’t only face the consequences, but will implicate Evans likewise.
There was a sickening atmosphere after her apology, Evans didn’t let out a word. His concentration was on how to reach the palace hurriedly.
“I hope the king hasn’t found out” Evans finally let out as they arrived inside the palace. They passed the backyard where people hardly pass.
He hopped down from the horse and Aurora followed, then he showed her a tunnel leading inside the royal prison.
“Crawl through here before the guard will arrive in your prison” Evans said and turned around, walking away.
“Thank you, Evans” Aurora said gratefully, then she turned and entered into the tunnel, crawling her way inside.
She finally got out from the tunnel, dusted her hand, and turned around, facing the passage leading to the royal prison. On her way, she caught the glimpse of the king coming towards her.
Fear struck her, her ankle lowered to the ground before the king would reach her place.
“Where are you coming for?” The king thundered, making her shivered where she knelt.
