Chapter 163

Book:Save Me Mate Published:2024-5-31

Davis POV
I alighted from the car that had dropped me off from where I went to look for Amelia, my mate and strangely she wasn’t there.
Amelia was not the outgoing type and on the few occasions when she left, she usually told me all about where she was going to.
I had been calling her contact for a while now but it was totally unreachable, I decided to try her contact once more and this time around my attempt was successful.
“Hey, where are you?” I asked her softly.
“I am on a mission.” she replied me and I could tell that there was an obvious smirk on her face.
“A mission? About what I told you the other day?” I asked her.
“Of course, I will forever support you and not by just saying words but in action.”
” I have never regretted having you as my mate Amelia.”
“And neither have I, you are in some trouble this time and I am going to wedge through it along with you.”
“Thank you so much Amelia but where are you exactly and what are you doing exactly?” I asked her and she went silent for a moment.
“Amelia?” I called out to her.
“I am trying to help you from the insides.” she replied me and I furrowed my brows.
“Help me from the insides?”
“Yes.”
“Do you mean to say that you are in Kayden’s home?” I asked slowly dreading her response.
“She would not do that.” Ted shook.
“What if she does? Amelia can be really fearless.”
“That would be too risky.” Ted replied.
“I am really in Kayden’s house.” she replied me and my eyes widened.
“What the heck are you doing there? That can be very risky.” I gasped, I felt fear build up in me gradually. I feared for her life, for her existence.
“Don’t worry, I am completely under disguise, I can’t be found out.” she replied me.
“But still yet….”
“I promise I am going to be fine.” she assured me.
“But the place is really dangerous, you have to come back home right away.”
“You are being too scared, I have successfully penetrated into the house, no one suspects me. I am going to do this with you.” she said stubbornly and ended the call before I could say another word.
I tried calling her one more time but it was not going through anymore.
Heck! Amelia was just too stubborn to deal with at times.
“I knew I should not have told her about the issue that was going on.”
“You knew how she is, why didn’t you just keep quiet.” Ted asked me.
“You yourself did not freaking advise me to keep quiet, did you? So you can’t blame me in this situation.” I replied him.
“Alright, let’s stop pushing the blames to one another, let’s simply try to find a way to get things done.” he said to me.
“Just what you should have said right from the start”
I paced around the place for a few seconds and my phone rang once more.
“Hello Amelia.” I picked up the call.
“Hello boss.” the voice on the other side responded and I sighed softly.
It was not Amelia on the line.
“What’s the report?”
“Two he wolves have attacked our men today and they succeeded in taking down four of our men before they could be supressed, I really do fear that this feat would provide them with the morale to attack again in the nearest future.” he reported and I rubbed my temple.
Can disturbing things just stop happening recently?
“What should I do next boss?”
“What about the witches? Have you gotten them yet? Even one?”
“I have been unable to get any one of them, the few that are available are unskilled and do not have the ability to lock wolves capacities.” he replied me.
“Hell!”
“Triple the amount we are paying to the witches, I do not believe that all witches have been booked for the entire month, make the pay juicy enough to lure the ones in hiding out. Remember to do everything discreetly.”
“Sure boss but still yet, what should we do about the ones that attacked?”
“The ones that attacked…. Seems like I have to show those petty creatures how strong I can be to make them see reasons why they should not try to revolt, spread fear into their hearts.”
“Then I would be waiting for your arrival boss.”
“I would be there soon.” I replied him and ended the call.
I looked around to make sure that no one had heard or seen me. I walked backwards a little bit and my nose caught whiff of that pretty much familiar scent.
Samantha was around this place. My eyes widened at that realization.
“Shit! I can only hope that she did not hear what I was saying all these while.” I said to Ted.
“Maybe a prayer would be needed today.” Ted replied me and I sighed but then an idea came to me.
“If Samantha is hiding away from me, definitely she’s going to follow me to wherever I am going to. Why not lure her away from this place to somewhere where I would be able to finally get her and get rid of her?”
“What if she heard us and has already told everything you said to Kayden? We are going to be gone.” Ted replied and I bit my lips.
“That’s the only option currently, lure her away first and do whatever comes next.” I said to him and began to walk away randomly, trying to get as casual as possible in my ways and praying silently that Samantha should still remain quiet and not have reported anything to Kayden.
“If you want to get her, you can’t go out and pick up a fight with her, even during the fight, it would be too easy for her to mind link Kayden that she is under an attack from you.”
“That’s right Ted, it’s be better to call on one of my guys then.”
“Are you sure that any of the guys around would be able to take on to Samantha?” Ted asked me.
“Right! I would get four men then.” I replied and mind linked with some of my men who were around the place.
I did not have so many men in this place but I at least had some.
“Gather three others and come over to the casten Allen in five minutes. No lateness will be allowed.” I said to them and I could guess the excitement from him because that was the first time he was hearing my voice and probably going to see me.
“Yes boss.”
I ended the mind link and smirked.
“Nice, Samantha.”
