Cassie’s POV
I woke up feeling extremely tired and down, I was having a terrible headache and my entire body could be said to ache as well. I was just so uncomfortable.
I sluggishly turned to look back and I found a bottles water and some pain relievers on the table.
Who could have placed them there? Samantha? Or could it have been… James.
I shook my head, I wanted to have nothing to do with James and I really did hope that it was not him who placed it there.
I grabbed the bottled water and the pain relievers and felt a bit relieved of the pains I was feeling.
I decided that I was going to take a walk around the house just to stretch my legs and have some fresh air, something that had become more of a luxury since yesterday morning.
I walked towards the door and pulled it open. I was quite surprised to find James by my door, his eyes were shut in a quite deep sleep.
I felt drawn to him immediately but I controlled myself, I am done with him! I tried to convince myself of that. He looked so cute in his sleep that I almost kissed him.
I looked away from him and began to walk awsy when I heard him call my name.
“Cassie.” I halted for a moment, shut my eyes tight, opened my eyes and continued walking away till he held my hand.
I could not deny his warm and soft his hands felt against mine.
“What do you want from me?” I asked him, my voice still rigid as possible.
“Can you stop treating me this way? I really do not want your silent treatment, please talk to me Cassie.” he pleaded with me but I simply sniffed.
“Please stop talking to me and go back to your mate.” I said to him.
“I have no mate, you are the only one that I love so much and you are the only one that I am going to love forever, no one else but you.” he shook his head but I just looked away from him and tried to wiggle my hands off his but he maintained a tight grip on my hands.
“Let go of me James.”I said to him.
“Can you call my name again? Softer this time around?” He requested and I jerked my hands off his roughly.
“I just told you to let go of me!” I half yelled at him and saw him recoil for a moment.
He stepped backwards for a few minutes.
“You…. Can’t you just forgive me of everything and accept me back?” He asked me.
“I am sorry if that’s what you want me to do, I can not do it, I am not capable of doing so.” I replied him and began to walk away.
A part of me was glad that he was not following me while a part of me was actually sad that he was not even coming after me after such a little rejection that I dished out to him.
“Cassie” he suddenly called my name again and his hands were on my shoulder in miliseconds, he had pushed me to the wall, it was little wonder since he was a wolf and I knew how fast they could be.
“I love you and I would never let go of you. If it’s the kiss with Lauren, I can kiss you a thousand times.” he said to me.
“I do not want to talk to you.” I spelt out and tried to get out of where he had caged me in but he pulled me back with a small groan and before I could dish out my usual complaints and groaning, he had pressed his lips against mine and even though I wanted to so much push him away from me, I could not.
I still loved the feel of his lips against mine, his lips were soft and mine fitted perfectly with his, we kissed for minutes in that moment as I wrapped my hands around his body, unwilling to let go of him anymore.
I love you…. I know that James but…..
Unknown POV
“You look so stressed.” my mate, Amelia said to me with a worried look and I kissed her lips.
“It is actually nothing much, I would be over it soon. Just the guys behaving stupidly.” I replied her and she pulled me back for a kiss.
It was quite some time since we had sex last and tonight was definitely going to be a perfect time to refresh our bodies and souls.
I pulled her closer to me and kissed her deeply, I broke the kiss and kissed her face all around then moved further down to her neck, then her collarbones as I buried my face in her body.
My hands went underneath her top and caressed the soft skin that was beneath the top. I was almost tearing the top away when Amelia broke the kiss and I raised a brow.
“What?” I asked her.
“You’ve not told me what went wrong.” she said to me and I groaned for a moment.
“Does that matter? What matters is that your body right now is the only thing that can relieve me of all of this stress.” I replied, staring at her lustfully while my hands still roamed around her body.
“C’mon.” she urged and pushed me gently to the bed.
“You really want to know what is stressing me out?” I asked her and she nodded..
It was not the first time she would be urging me to tell her what was stressing me and then after that, she would make sure that she found a way to solve any sort of issues that I had.
“The thing is there is this girl who escaped and she is in the hands of Kayden.” I replied her abd she gasped.
“That’s a terrible situation! How in the world could you have hidden all of that to yourself? What do you intend on doing?” She asked and I simply shook my head.
“Anyone who is in Kayden’s hands is like a really forbidden fruit, you should know getting her can never be easy not even when the girl in question is his mate.” I replied and she gasped.
“Now, that’s even more serious.”
“Now you know, can I have you?” I asked with lust deeply inscribed in my looks.
“You naughty mate.” she remarked and kissed me deeply.
We were in the middle of making out when the door was suddenly thrown up.
“Whoever the fuck you are get the gun and shoot yourself down!” I groaned, pulling away from Amelia.
“There is bad news.” it was the voice of my second in command and I very well knew that he would not be here if it wasn’t something really serious.
“What went wrong yet again?” I asked him.
“The witches…. None of them can be gotten, they are all away and we can’t find any other witches to lock the capacities.”
