James POV
I halted for a moment, without any movement at her words, she had just accused me of kissing Lauren, yeah I did kiss Lauren or should I say she kissed me but I was not in my right frame of mind back then, I was drunk!
“I… I was drunk back then, I swear you are the only one I love and want.” I said to her, almost pleadingly.
“Stop lying to me James, you feel attracted to her that is why you kissed her.” she replied with fresh tears gathering in her eyes.
“You are the only attraction in the world for me, no one else can attract me Cassie.” I said to get but it was all useless, she was unwilling to listen to me
To her, I was nothing but a liar and even a cheat.
“Get out of my room James.” she said to me and I slowly got up from beside her.
“You are sick Cassie, I think you really need someone to take care of you.” I said to her.
“Even if I need someone to take care of me, that someone is definitely not you.” she replied and looked away from me, turning to the other side of the bed yet again.
I sighed softly and proceeded towards the door.
“Take your food, I don’t want to see it. It irritates me so much.” she grumbled, her voice at the verge of breaking down.
“You… You might want to have it later on.” I said to her.
“Never am I going to want something that is from you.” she said and those words broke my heart badly, I was badly hurt but I composed myself, everything that was happening was because of me anyways so I did not have the freedom to play the victim.
I moved towards the table and took the tray of food, as I got to the door, I stretched forth my hand and opened the door to step out but then hesitated for a moment.
“Just so you know, I have known that Lauren is my mate for a pretty long time now and we both have agreed to go on our separate ways, she does not like me and I do not like her either, she has Alpha Kayden in her heart and I have you in my heart, what happened last night was nothing but a drunk act.” I said but there was no reaction of response like I guessed.
I stepped out of the room and walked to the trash can and dumped all the food in the trash. I was so furious at myself. I ran my hands through my hair before going back to her door, I was going to reside in front of Cassie’s door for a while, till she finally lets go of everything.
Unknown’s POV
“And what do we have here?” I clasped my hands in the most sadistic manner with a chuckle that followed.
“We… We are sorry boss.” they chorused.
“Yeah, and I am as well sorry to your familes.” I replied them.
These were the three bastards that could not properly hold onto Samantha, a girl that had not shape shifted escaped from their hands!
“PL… Please give us some more chance.” they pleaded even more and I grabbed the gun from one of my men that stood beside me and made sure that the silver bullets were just intact.
“Please forgive us! It is never going to happen again!”
“Yeah, sure it would never happen again, why? Simple! Because you are dying right now.” I smiled, a smile that showed my rage.
It was a type of smile that every single soul on this place dreaded, they all knew what I was capable of doing and how merciless I could be when it got to the point of protecting all that I had built all my life.
“Please boss! We…. We are going to…..”
A gun shot followed and there was silence for a moment, I just eliminated the one who kept on talking and pleading.
“He was being too noisy.” I mumbled and pulled out a cigarette.
I lit it and took a drag from it before turning to the other two who were both shivering at this point.
“Take a look at you, I know how much I pay you all here and still yet a little girl escaped from your grip putting our secret into danger and what is more? She actually escaped into the home of who?! Into the home of Kayden!” I yelled for a moment, took a drag from the cigarette to calm down and then flashed my cheesy smile at them again before shooting the second one down.
He struggled for moments before he finally gave up the ghost.
“If only he had struggled that much to get that little girl back into this place.” I mumbled.
“I….” The third one tried to speak but I simply raised my hands up to tell him not to speak.
I was not ready to hear his silky and stupid voice.
“Do not speak, you are going to die anyways.” I said to him.
“I promise to find her and bring her here.” he promised and I burst into laughter.
“Do you know who she is right now? Of course you do not! She is the mate of Kayden, not just his mate, he loves her! He freaking loves her so much!” I yelled at him.
“It would be hard for even I to find her and bring her here and you want to do it, who the heck are you kidding?” I asked him and he began shaking.
“I would have let go of you…..” I started and he shook his head.
“Please do.”
“But then it would be unfair to the other two that are waiting for you in the aftermath already.” I replied him.
“Please…. Please do not…. ” I shot him, driving the bullet into his head and everywhere went quiet once more before the breathing all evened.
“You can all go back to what you were doing earlier.” I mumbled and threw the gun to the floor.
“Is there any new reports?” I asked my second in command, he only came here once in a while the same as me.
“There is bad news.” he said and I halted.
If there was one thing I knew about him, it was the fact that he never ever did exaggerate things.
“What do you mean?” I asked, turning my full attention to him.
“There were 47 slaves that were eliminated but the total slaves bodies that were recovered by Alpha Kayden was just 46, there is one missing and I do fear that…. That the one is missing and yet alive.”
