After he finished talking in a light-hearted tone, I suddenly felt overwhelming despair.
Why couldn’t he just let me off?
I only wanted to stay away from here quietly and let go of the man whom I shouldn’t have gotten involved with in the first place, why was it so difficult?
In the end, Quan Jinnian disregarded my struggles and objection and took me to a huge cruise ship.
The ship had luxurious and exquisite decor, and was also the place where Quan Shaoze was holding his engagement ceremony with his fiancee, Lin Wan.
The eye-catching hot air balloons with their names and congratulatory words on them stung my eyes.
I took a deep breath to control my emotions, but I was already choked up.
Lin Feng, it’s time to discard whatever thoughts that you have.
You and Quan Shaoze could never be together.
Quan Jinnian held my hand and took me formally into the cruise ship. When the security guard at the entrance saw us, he didn’t stop us but nodded respectfully at Quan Jinnian instead.
My newly-risen thought of calling for help got killed right away.
He seemed to be Quan Jinnian’s henchman.
I turned my head and happened to see the inexplicable cold smile on his face. My scalp became numb at once, “What on earth do you want!” I snapped at him.
My instincts told me that he definitely didn’t just want me to witness Quan Shaoze’s engagement ceremony!
But Quan Jinnian did not answer me. He continued taking me along the remote edge of the cruise ship, moving towards the middle, where it was more crowded.
There were wealthy businessmen and people from noble families complimenting each other with hypocritical smiles, and no one noticed the situation on my side.
As I watched Quan Jinnian take me straight to the storage warehouse not far ahead, I panicked and quickly pulled away his hand that was covering my mouth while he wasn’t paying attention before calling out for help.
I had just opened my mouth when Quan Jinnian grabbed me by the throat.
“Since you’re so disobedient, I’ll have to do this my way!” he said with a cold and vicious smile before taking out a bottle of prepared drug from his pocket.
I stepped back in fear to avoid him from feeding me by force, and my back was already covered in cold sweat.
No! I must not take it!
But I wasn’t his match after all. After he grabbed my neck and pressed me against the wall, I was still being fed by force.
My eyes turned bloodshot with anger and despair. I wanted to open my mouth and was struggling desperately, but I felt weak all over and almost couldn’t stand up straight.
Suddenly, I lost the strength to talk.
I was terrified-he went so far as to me anesthetic!
“Good girl, I’ll take you over there,” he took me into his arms with a satisfied smile.
But his eyes were still cold and grim.
I was taken by him to the railings of the cruise ship, and I didn’t notice anything when I looked at the sea.
I looked at him sideways and happened to see an inexplicable smile on his face.
Feeling a chill run down my spine, I decided to take another gamble.
I pushed him powerlessly and ran out, but was pulled back by him after taking just a few steps.
I was being grabbed by the throat again, and I punched and kicked at him in agony. After a long while, he finally let go of me slowly and laughed like a devil, making my scalp numb.
“My men are everywhere on this ship, where can you run to?” he squeezed my chin with disdain, and his scornful eyes made me cringe.
I followed his gaze in shock, and the dark and vicious eyes hidden in the crowd were particularly conspicuous.
