Cali POV
“Oh! Before I forget about, when we got to the agency. We saw Andrew’s name …” Zoey uttered and I let out a light gasp. Camila cleared her throat and she looked at Nova.
“What’s he to you, Cali? Calvin asked. Now everyone’s attention is on me. You know how nervous you feel when you are suddenly questioned out of the blue.
“My brother and her have been friends before but he hardly shows up because of his business schedule. ” Camila made up an excuse and I feel myself releasing a breath of relief.
“But since I—”
“Let’s go inside. ” I interrupted her words and wrapped my hand around her arms.

Crystal POV
I pushed the door to my room and she made movements in my arms. How did she manage to get herself here? Where did she disappear that night? How did she live four years without anyone protecting her? Gosh! A lot of questions are on my mind. Somehow, I feel it was my fault, not the first time I’m blaming myself.
There’s no night I will want to close my eyes without thinking about her. There was a period of time where I imagined a lot of things. Where was she sleeping that very moment? Is she in trouble? I lay her on my bed and tousled her hair.
“Why did you leave just like that? ” How worried I was coming rushing to my head. The rays of the sun seemed to be on her face, it got my attention and I stood up to adjust the curtain. I turn back to see her staring at me.
“Annie.. ” I stuttered, trying to fight back my tears but they came down rushing. She stood up and rushed off the bed.
“Crystal? ” She called as she took steps closer to me. I think she’s dreaming, perhaps she’s hallucinating.
“Yes! This is Crystal.. it’s me crystar. ” I pronounce it the way she used to call my name.
“Oh my God… ” She gasped and ran into my arms. She kept sobbing, another and another. All I could do was to massage her head. I keep whispering comforting words to her and she seems calm a bit.
We disengaged from the hug and I chuckled. How did she get her nose running in just a few minutes?
I stood up from the ground and carried her to the bed. Pick one of my face towels to wipe her nose. She suddenly stood up, as if she remembered something.
“Where’s mommy? ” She asked, staring at me.
“In the living room, downstairs. ” I replied and she nodded slightly. I shut the wardrobe and wipe her nose with the small purple towel.
“I miss you. ” She said, not taking her eyes off mine.
“I also miss you also…” I uttered and pulled her into a warm hug. I decided to hold my questions for another day, let me welcome her comeback and our perfect reunion.
“Are you hungry, do you want potato soup? ” I asked and she nodded.
“Do you have your own mommy too? ” She asked and I smiled. I didn’t make that thought, I kept calling the person that saved me by name. I didn’t consider her as a mom to me.
“You don’t have a mommy? ” She asked and I shook my head.
“I do, I have my mommy. She’s nice and she’s caring, funny. ” I uttered and she smiled.
“But, I never called her mom before. ” I confessed and she widened her eyes.
(Stuttering) “You didn’t call her mommy? And you said she’s nice, funny, caring. Is she bad? ” She whispered the last sentence and I laughed.
“No she’s not, actually it happened suddenly so, I haven’t called her that title yet. ” I explained and sat down beside her.
“You should try to call her MOM. ” I heard Nova’s voice from the entrance, so I looked back, Camila was also with her.
“I saw you with mommy. ” Annie said as she pointed her finger at Nova.
“Yeah. I’m young mommy younger sister—”
“You and daddy told mommy not to take me in. ” She said in a tearful voice.
“I guess she can remember that tragic event. ” Nova whispered in my ear and I looked at Annie.
“Is it that tragic? ” I asked and she nodded. I pull Ann close to my chest and comfort her with a peck on her forehead. Her face was teary but it didn’t stream down her cheeks.
“Actually, Cali, Camila and I were strongly against Zoey taking her in. You know how famous she is, so we thought it was a trap from haters who will do anything to tarnish her image. I just hope you can understand. ” Nova explained and sat down beside Annie.
“But how come she didn’t say anything about me when I’m actually there. ” Camila asked and shrugged.
“You didn’t say anything when the rest were trying to convince mom not to take me in. ” She sobs.
“Look Ann, I’m sorry if what I did that day seems fresh in your memory. I was only trying to protect my sister from haters… Gosh! I can’t believe I’m dragged into this… ” Nova breathed heavily.
“It’s nothing now Annie… She had apologize and I do tell you —”
“Learn how to forgive, no is perfect. ” She finished my sentence, it made me smile because she still remembered my teachings then.
“Aagggrrrhhhh. ” We heard a loud screamed. And it’s coming downstairs.
“Wait, is that not Cali’s scream. ” Nova rushed her words and she stormed out of the room… We all followed with Annie in my arms.
