{Crystal And Maids/Conspiracy}

I roll gently on the bed because of my stomach. I slowly open my eyes, staring at the ceiling.
“Ahhh.. ” I screamed when they suddenly moved. My breath became heavy. I hate anything called pain but I have no choice. I seat up instantly, with my head on the bed headboard.
Their movements subsided a little, I guess they weren’t comfortable with the way I was lying down. My back aches a lot, so I pull two pillows to my back to have a smooth rest. My mood was ruined, I can’t bring myself to believe he’s the father of my babies. Seriously, I feel like going back to Somalia to visit my cousin and stay there.
Because, the news is just too much for me to handle, and Zoey. She’s occupied with marriage and other stuff in her home, I don’t want to bother her with mine. “Don’t be lazy, Cali. ” I talked to myself and managed to stand up. My hand mistakenly pressed the maid’s emergency bell. In quick seconds, five of them rushed in.
I was perplexed at their fast movement, where they are at my door, or how they rush in immediately, even before the bell finishes ringing.
“Hahahaha… I know it will take you all a minute to get here but it’s not up to six seconds before you all rush in. ” I uttered but their head was still bowing. I hate this maid and their bowing heads like hen. I noticed they aren’t complete, there’s this fair young pretty girl. Yes! She told me her name is Crystal, I used my eyes to search for her but she wasn’t among the ones standing in front of me.
“She might be cleaning, probably her duties… ” I said to myself and looked back at the five if them in front of me.
“You want to be fired right! ” I yelled and coughed after yelling. I don’t like yelling, I’m stressed already and these maids just want to add to my stressful self. I have my ways, I must fire them and leave one or two of them. But not after having an unaware test.
“We are sorry sir but Mr Calvin said two or more if us should be at the door or probably near you in case of emergency. But ever since we come here, you didn’t press the bell, we only clean the house… ” The eldest among them speak up. I felt my leg aching, so I took a seat and breathed in and out.
“That’s because I’m not interested in maids. I can do my things myself, I don’t like it when strangers cook my food, I don’t like seeing strangers in my home, or someone I’m not familiar with. I’m sorry if—”
“You don’t need to apologize. We are here to help you with anything, we are always after your health and your baby’s health. ”
“Babies. I guess they know about it already. ” I thought and looked at them.
“Is this you all or there are hundreds of you downstairs. ” I asked jokingly and they smiled, not all of them though.
“We are only five. ” The eldest among them uttered and I nodded.
“Don’t worry. I’m fine myself, I mistakenly pressed the bell. You all can go back to your various quarters. ” I said, watching them as they walked out of my room. The eldest bowed her head before shutting the door behind her.
I don’t know how long I have been holding my breath but I find myself releasing a relieving breath.
I stood up to brush my teeth and have a cool bath. I checked my calendar reminder and I saw I have an appointment with the doctor, that’s around 2pm.
“Still have time. ” I said to myself.

I put on a singlet and a material bum short. My stomach was visible because the singlet wasn’t covering it. I checked the time as I took the stairs.
“Crystal. ” I called one of the maid names I could remember. A dark skinned girl came from the backyard entrance.
“You aren’t Crystal… ” I uttered and she nodded.
“Where’s Crystal? ” I asked, walking inside my kitchen.
“She’s not feeling well… But she said I should respond on her behalf in case you call for her. ” I girl said and I paused to look at her.
“What’s your name? ” I asked bending down to turn the gas stove but she was fast enough to turn it on.
“My name is Marie. ” She replied and I nodded. She stood waiting for me to order around.
“Go and get one of you co maids to have my room tidy up and also, I want the room beside my room to be tidy also.. I want Crystal in the main mansion, not in the quarters again. I paused to look at the girl but her facial expressions were just blank. Let me know when everything is done. ” I uttered but her response made me arch my brows.
“Okay ma, I will inform you when we are done with the cleaning. But ma, now that Crystal is lucky enough to get to be in the main mansion here will others have the opportunity to come here? ” She said, staring at me.
“No, just Crystal here. I don’t want my home to be crowded. ” I uttered and she nodded and went off. My mind became unsettled after she asked that question. Have watched movies of other maids poisoning their co maids out of jealousy. Crystal is the youngest of the maids, she’s just a teen, fifteen years old…
Somehow, I feel insecure about this girl’s motives. I should probably tell Calvin to fire her from here, since he’s the one that insists I have a maid or maids. I’m fine with Crystal alone but this Maria of a girl made goosebumps raise on my skin.
I quickly turn off the gas stove, walking to the back door entrance. It leads to the maid quarters.
“I should bring Crystal out if there and fire the rest… I can’t believe the eldest of them was lying about crystal. Does she think I don’t know the number of maids in my home? She’s getting out of this mansion today, in fact all of them will be leaving my place except Crystal. ”
I shut the door behind me and head to the maid quarters. Three of the maids were cleaning the surroundings, Marie was not among them, she’s inside with the eldest among them. Somehow the looks on the three maids looks frightening.
“Don’t worry, you will be fine when I’m done with you. ” I heard and knitted my forehead
