When Andre and Nellie returned to the Chambers’s, Ruby was still full of smiles, but without the fawning that she had before.
Violet stood behind her, looking at Nellie with envy and jealousy.
“Hold it back, and if you can’t, go back to your room.” Ruby said fiercely, worried that she would cause a big mess.
Although she wanted Violet to be with Andre, but now he had three children, didn’t seem possible to have that happen in any way.
Ruby was sensible and sober after all.
But Violet, who could still be sober when she didn’t see Andre, was upset when she did.
When Martha saw the three children Nellie had brought back, her eyes were full of tenderness, “You have the children born, you are really as much of a worry as your mother.” They were all disobedient girls.
To this day, Martha still had a lot of opinions about Andre, in her heart he will never be a good man.
Nellie looked at her grandmother’s cute face with a smile, “Yes, we all let you worry a lot.”
“Yes.” Martha said, grumbling at Andre without any regard for the fact that he was right there.
Andre always listened patiently, just like before, how he put up with Nellie, and now how he put up with the old lady.
This gave some vent to the old lady’s grievances.
The two stayed for lunch at the Chambers’.
Violet always found a way to get closer to Andre, “Brother-in-law, it’s so good that sister has you.”
She was jealous.
Nellie frowned and didn’t say anything.
She couldn’t tell who was the older between Violet and herself, after all, she didn’t come back much in the early years.
Violet was even more uncomfortable when she saw that both Andre and Nellie were not paying attention to her.
Ruby had heard her earlier in the kitchen and her heart jumped in fear.
Although Nellie was now well by Andre, she still felt that Andre was a dangerous man and once he was pissed off, he would not be mercy to anyone.
“Violet, come and help me in the kitchen.” Ruby said to her seeing that Violet still wanted to say something else.
Violet was even more upset when she heard that Ruby had asked for her help.
She’s the youngest lady in the family, why does she have to do all this stuff?
She did not want to leave Andre, but Andre never gave her a single look from the beginning to the end.
When she entered the kitchen, Violet was still upset and Ruby was so angry that she grabbed her hand, “Are you crazy? He has three children with Nellie now.”
“I know, I just can’t get used to seeing Nellie like that.” Violet lowered her voice and said with dissatisfaction.
Nellie had gone, and she came back with three kids, what a scheming woman.
The more Violet thought about it, the angrier she got.
Originally, she was still struggling in her mind during this period of time, to wait for Andre for a few years, and if Nellie never came back, she still stood a chance to get close to Andre.
But Nellie came back now.
Ruby, “Then you shouldn’t embarrass her in front of Andre.”
Even if she wanted to humiliate Nellie, she had to wait until Andre was gone.
Violet knew what kind of person Andre really was, but she just couldn’t help it, and she was very angry.
She thought Nellie would go far away.
But within a year, she had the babies born, then all that fuss before was just a trick?
Ruby did not want Violet and Nellie to clash in front of Andre, so she kept her to help in the kitchen.
By the time the lunch was ready, with Martha present, Violet did not dare to make a fuss.
But it was still a tasteless lunch.
After it was over, Nellie found an excuse and left with Andre, while neither Ruby nor Violet knew that Nellie was coping with even coming back to the Chambers family because of the two of them.
How could they be given the opportunity to make things difficult for her?
On the way back, Andre looked at Nellie’s tired face, “Take a nap, I’ll let you know when we arrive.”
Nellie was really tired.
With three children during this time, she was tired because she insisted on breastfeeding, despite having a childcare provider.
Andre got up at night to help, but she was tired when she couldn’t get a full night’s sleep
Nellie really dread to think where on earth do those mothers who bring up their children alone get the courage and the energy to do so.
It’d only been a short time and she had so many helpers that it felt like it was already too much.
Was it because she had three children with her?
As she thought this, she fell into a deep sleep, and when she arrived at the Lawson’s, it was Andre who carried her back to her room.
However, throughout the whole process, Nellie did not wake up, which showed how tired she really was.
Luna said to Andre seeing how tired Nellie was, “Shall I get two more infants’ nurses?”
Now there were already five of them, two changed shifts at any time, but Luna could not bear it when she found how tired Nellie was.
Andre frowned, looked at Nellie who was sleeping in the room and nodded, “Find two more.”
At this rate, she would be very tired.
Luna, “How about formula feeding the baby?”
It was not as good as breast milk though.
But with three children, this shouldn’t be too good for Nellie’s health, and this would be too much for her body to handle in the long run.
Andre, “I’m afraid she won’t agree.”
At the beginning Andre suggested it, but Nellie was dead set against it, saying that she must feed herself until the babies were half a year old.
Luna was heartbroken about Nellie, with these three children, she had to eat a lot of food every day, but she did not grow weight, which showed how hard it was to bring up the children.
“Then watch her more at night and don’t make her work too hard.” Luna said.
She was afraid that Nellie might get tired and fall ill.
Andre nodded.
After meetings at the office during the day, he basically came back as fast as he could, as Nellie spend most of her time with her children.
Andre was worried that she was too tired, so he usually came back early.
Nellie hadn’t slept so well for a long time, and all afternoon, Andre didn’t allow anyone to disturb her.
And without consulting Nellie, the babies were given formula.
By the time Nellie woke up in the evening, she was so angry that she gave Andre a direct kick, Andre said, “I saw that you were tired, and I didn’t want to bother you.”
“You can’t give the babies formula. I said until they are half a year old.” She could offer a lot of milk, but they babies were given formula milk.
Andre, “I’ve decided, from now on, the babies will be given formula at night.”
“What?” He had decided?
Looking at this strong attitude of Andre, Nellie was even more angry, “How can a father do that?”
“I feel heartbroken for my wife.”
“Who’s your wife?”
“You.”
Nellie was stunned.
What a shameless man. Although that marriage certificate of theirs came unorthodoxly, legally, they were still really married.
Now a wedding was missing. Nellie originally had the same idea as Alina and didn’t want to have a wedding, but Andre said he must let the world know that she, Nellie, was his wife.
