When Marco saw that Nellie was back and had brought Andre back with her, his heart tightened.
Respectfully, he came forward and asked, “Have you had your dinner, Miss?”
“No, cook me a bowl of noodles.”
“Yes.”
Marco had the kitchen to have it cooked, but when he saw Andre, he looked at Nellie inquiringly.
Nellie didn’t expect Andre to really follow her home, and now with this stance, there was really no intention of leaving.
“I’m the only one who didn’t eat.” Nellie said as if she was retaliating, and then went straight upstairs, not caring about Andre at all.
Marco looked at Andre and was embarrassed.
Andre was nonchalant, “Cook me a bowl too.”
“Okay.”
Andre was a member of the Francis family, so Marco did not dare to go too far, even though Nellie had said so, he knew what kind of existence Andre had in Shirling.
When Nellie returned to her room, she picked up the phone and called Blake.
Blake picked up, “Miss James.”
“How are my divorce proceedings going?”
“I was just about to call you over. The lawsuit was dismissed, saying that your had just been married for less than six months.”
“Is that in the law?”
“No, it’s a new rule in Shirling.”
A new rule? When Nellie heard this, she was angry. How in the world did this rule come about?
The more she thought about it, the more angry Nellie became.
She walked out of her room and went downstairs, only to see Andre looking at his phone on the sofa. She went up, grabbed his phone and smashed it on the sofa.
Andre raised his eyes to look at her, his gaze full of tenderness, as if he was looking at his rebellious wife.
Nellie was angry again at such a look from him, “Don’t look at me like that, asshole.”
“Did I say something?” Andre had a frank look.
This kind of frankness even made Nellie furious.
Andre, “Are you hungry? The noodles will be ready in a moment, be good.”
What was this tone of voice about?
Was he coaxing his wife who was having a tantrum over food?
Nellie kicked him in the calf, “Andre, please see clearly whose home is this. Get out.”
She didn’t want to see him in the first place, and now that he was putting on this look, it made Nellie’s heart pound in anger.
Andre looked at her indulgently, letting her make a scene, not saying anything about leaving.
The image looked even more like Nellie was being unreasonable.
Nellie, “Are you going to leave or not?”
“You’re leaving with me?”
“Don’t you even think about it.” Leaving with him? What the hell was this man thinking?
Had he forgotten what had really happened between them? What does he mean by this peace of mind he’s putting on now?
The noodles in the kitchen were soon ready.
Marco looked at the two of them making such a fuss, and for a while he didn’t know how to persuade them.
Instead, Andre said first, “The noodles are ready, let’s eat first, okay?”
“I’m not eating.”
She was still hungry, but now that she had been tossed around by Andre, she wasn’t hungry at all and didn’t even want to eat.
The corners of Andre’s mouth lifted in a doting smile, “There, be good.”
With that, he picked her up in his arms and headed for the dining room.
As if he was coaxing his wife who was having a temper tantrum.
Nellie struggled, “Andre, you bastard, put me down.”
Andre carried her to the dining chair and sat down. Nellie was so angry that she picked up the noodle bowl and smashed it on the table, her anger already burning to the limit.
Andre was not angry in the least.
Unlike his old self, he seems to be very good-natured now.
“Look at you, still throwing tantrums like a child, how hard is it to clean up now?” The whole dining room was a wreck.
The maids rushed up to clean up.
However, the breezy looks of Andre made the blame of anger burning in Nellie’s heart have no place to vent.
On the contrary, Andre still looked as if he had no idea why she was angry.
He said, as if this was his home, “Why don’t you eat mine first?”
“This is my house, my house!”
His? What here is his?
Andre nodded, “I know, so eat yours?”
“No!”
Nellie was really angry, and she wanted to dismantle Andre.
Andre put on a smile, “Then I’ll eat.”
Hearing his contented tone added to the sullenness in Nellie’s heart.
It was all hers. Did he have her permission to eat it?
Seeing Nellie’s burning gaze, Andre said, “The cook here is good, are you really not going to eat?”
When Nellie saw this look on his face, she became more furious.
However, he was always calm and relaxed, so she knew that even if she was angry, she would not be able to do anything to help this man.
In the end, she could only bear with it.
“Get your ass out of here once you finish.”
It was a meal, and she endured it for a while.
But she could never tolerate what came after that.
Andre, “I’m going to sleep here tonight.”
“What did you say?” Nellie roared out, and without waiting for Andre to speak, she added menacingly, “Don’t you go too far.”
“You’re my wife, I’m your husband, and we’re supposed to live together.”
Marco would not have known what to do.
Now when he heard these words from Andre, he knew even more that at the moment this was something that could not be persuaded, as these two had been messing around for so many years.
Now there was a tendency for it to continue, and he didn’t really know what to say.
Nellie was already so angry and she almost passed out.
Soon, Andre finished his noodle and looked at Nellie, “Are you really not going to eat?”
Was he doing it on purpose?
Nellie felt so.
Andre, “It’s okay, if you get hungry later, I’ll cook for you, okay?”
“No need.”
Nellie was so angry that she stood up and headed upstairs.
And now Andre had finished eating and followed her upstairs.
When Nellie turned around at the sound of footsteps behind her and saw that it was Andre following her, her face sank.
Clearly, her patience had reached its limit, “What are you doing following me?”
Andre, “As I said, I’m sleeping here tonight.”
“I’m calling security.”
“They can’t beat me, and you know that very well in your heart.”
“Then I’ll call the police.”
“I brought my marriage certificate.”
Nellie’s face turned white.
Now, no mattered what she said, Andre always managed to give her an answer, which made her world completely chaotic.
She just looked at the man in front of her with eyes sharp as knives, as if they wanted to poke holes in him.
