They put up a show to seduce those people to reveal their true faces. After staying in a fancy suit for a couple of weeks, Thea found out those influential social media accounts finally started to report her current “dilemma.”
Some people had started to be jealous of Thea a long time ago. Meanwhile, some female celebrities tried their best to make Cody notice them.
The things people said about Thea on the internet were vicious.
They said she still wasn’t accepted by the rich house when she gave birth to twins.
They said she was just a showgirl and she didn’t deserve to be Mrs. Bradley. They said she was just Cody Bradley’s toy. And he would eventually abandon her after he was done with her.
Thea’s reputation on the internet was just getting worse. Her fans would even get scolded by random people when they mentioned her name.
During this time, Thea was living in a top suite in a five-star hotel. Both of the twins were with her.
After knowing that their mom couldn’t go back home, the boys cried all day. Franco said he wouldn’t stay at home if Mom were not here.
If Mom wouldn’t go home, then he wouldn’t go back as well. Thea was so moved.
A couple of days later, Helen came to the hotel with Luca and Kevin. They said they wanted to pay her a visit. Just in case she was feeling lonely living in the hotel alone.
They didn’t know that the Bradley house and the Weston house had almost moved on this hotel floor after Thea checked in.
Thea instantly sent the boys to the suite next door before they entered her door, so they wouldn’t be suspicious.
So when Helen and the boys went into her room, they only saw a sad and defeated Thea.
“Thea… Are you alright? I didn’t expect you to really move into the hotel… I thought Cody would never let you. Among the three people, Luca was the only one who knew this couple well. He knew how much Cody loved Thea… Were they really gonna get divorced?
Helen observed the look on Thea’s face carefully, “Men are just men. You don’t need to feel sad, sweetie.”
Kevin brought Thea flowers and wine.
But Thea knew he was only doing this as a friend.
Kevin looked genuinely worried about Thea, “I didn’t expect our movie to go through so much before being screened. I would have stayed away from this script if I knew this would have happened.”
Thea smiled as she poured them coffee, “Don’t say that, Kevin. We all know none of us would give up on a script with so much potential. Things will get better once the movie is screened. Trust me. This is only temporary.”
Kevin sighed, “We were all fooled by the director. I didn’t even know he was a person like that.”
Helen let out a bitter smile, “Actually… It was all my fault. If I didn’t come to find you guys to cast in that film, things wouldn’t have turned out to be like this.”
“Gosh, Helen,” Thea instantly said, “You mustn’t blame it all on yourself. None of us has ever predicted this. Besides, the script is really good. No one can resist the temptation.”
Helen shook her head, “I’m just glad that you guys are not blaming me. By the way, Thea, could I use the bathroom a bit?”
Thea nodded as she stood up, “Of course. Do you need me to show you the way?”
After Helen exited the bathroom, they stayed in the guest room for a bit longer. And then, Helen said it was too late. So she left the hotel with the boys.
Thea said she wanted to invite them to dinner, but she knew there probably would be paparazzi lurking in the corner. She didn’t want to bring them any trouble.
Helen said it was okay. She even asked Thea to visit her house next time.
When the three people left the room, Thea’s face instantly fell.
Just as she expected, about one hour after Helen left, two police officers suddenly came to knock on the door. They showed Thea their ID and asked to examine Thea’s room. They said they received a report a couple of minutes ago saying Thea was hiding heroin in her room.
Thea didn’t act like she was surprised. She just moved out of their way and let them do whatever they wanted in her suite. She was not hiding anything anyway.
Meanwhile, a group of cops got into Helen’s mansion, finding a lot of meth and heroin in her place.
All those hired accounts were waiting for the news that Thea got arrested. However, what they got, in the end, were photos in which Helen was cuffed and brought to a police cruiser.
The force behind all those vicious slanders about Thea on the internet started to reveal.
“I really didn’t expect her to be the person who tried to sabotage my career. Why was she doing this? I mean, she had already gotten what she needed. She doesn’t need money or any roles.”
Thea still didn’t want to accept the fact. Helen was Beth’s aunt. It would break Beth’s heart if she got to know what kind of person her aunt was.
Cody shook his head, “No matter how much money a person earned, it would never be enough for her. The police are investigating this. The result will come out soon.”
The guessing about Helen’s arrest never stopped. And then, some of those people online asked the police to investigate Thea as well.
They thought none of those celebrities in showbiz was clean.
One week later, the result of Helen’s case was finally out.
Helen’s husband had been involved in multiple cases of money laundering. They even signed illegal contracts during shootings. Tax evasions were the lightest among all the things they’d done.
After making sure that Helen was the big fish, Cody didn’t want to be polite to other people as well. He went to those social media accounts and found out the forces who rigged them. Most of them were influential figures in the circle. Stella and Rachel were the most active ones.
They had forged so much negative news about Thea during the last couple of years. Thea couldn’t even believe how much money they had spent on this.
