Cody instantly followed up, patting Thea’s back gently as he asked, “What’s wrong? Are you okay, babe?”
Thea frowned as she flushed the toilet, one hand covering her stomach. “I’m okay… I’m probably too tired.”
Cody was thinking about bringing her some pills after the meal. Grace, however, noticed that Thea barely ate during the meal.
After the dinner, Grace pulled Thea to a quiet corner and asked, “Have you had your period this month?”
Thea suddenly realized that her period was late this month. Her eyes widened in surprise, “No way…”
Grace gave her a test strip, smiling, “Don’t make any guesses before you test it out.”
Thea was a bit nervous when she went to the bathroom. When she walked out, she was smiling.
She really was pregnant.
Upstairs, Thea walked with barely contained excitement, and she said, “Cody, I have something to tell you.”
Cody had a virtual conference. When he saw Thea enter his office, he abruptly ended the discussion, saying, “What’s up? Is your stomach still hurting?”
Without hesitating, Thea shook her head and smiled, “Nope, you’re gonna be a father. I’m expecting a baby, Honey.”
Cody was holding a mug of coffee when he heard it crash to the floor, just next to his laptop keyboard.
His laptop was destroyed, but he didn’t appear to mind. He sprang up from his chair and walked over to put his arms around Thea.
“Geez… Chill…” Thea chuckled at the thought and smiled at him.
Cody, though, was unable to cool down. He hugged her tightly and kissed her all over, which made her laugh.
Then, without hesitation, he said to Thea, “We have to figure it out.” He then took her to the hospital.
Thea’s pregnancy news quickly went viral.
Very quickly, word spread throughout the three households about what had happened.
Candace was the first person to arrive at the hospital, and she was still carrying her two little daughters with her. “OH, MY GOD! Demi! You’re pregnant! How come you didn’t understand it until just now? I don’t think it’s possible! You hadn’t stopped shooting as recently as a few weeks ago! You really ought to have finished the test sooner!”
“Take it easy, Candace,” Thea said with a giggle, “There weren’t even any action scenes. According to the physician, there is no cause for concern,”
“Holy… You really ought to exercise an excessive amount of caution when dealing with things of this nature. You have a responsibility to look for yourself, all right? Don’t do any job anymore. You owe it to your child to get some rest.”
Thea gave a shrug and said, “I’ve put off all of my work. Next year will mark the beginning of filming for the third movie. Caleb has assented to my request for a lengthy vacation.”
Candace agreed and nodded, saying, “That’s right. It’s not like you have somewhere important to be or anything.”
However, before she could continue the sentence, Cristelle and Fritzi had arrived at the location she was referring to.
Cristelle looked so worried, “Honey… You should go back to our house now. Linford and I will take care of you. Staying in the hospital is not comfy. The food in this place. is disgusting.”
“I can’t believe you’re asking Thea to go back with you.” Fritzi hurried to say, “It’s not like you’re the only one who knows how to take care of pregnant women. Demi should definitely go back with me. Dami, come. I’ll take care of you and the baby.”
Cristelle huffed, “But you don’t have any experience of taking care of pregnant women. I at least took care of Candace once.”
Candace was on her Mom’s side, “That’s right. Mom really took good care of me.”
Granny was not happy, “Why does Thea have to go with you guys? She can always go back with us if she wants to.”
Grandpa Weston laughed, thinking the little war waged over Thea was funny.
Cody pulled a face. Were these people treating him as a dead man? He pulled Thea back into his arms, “That’s enough. She’s not going anywhere. He was gonna go back to my place. No one knows her better than I do.”
Cristelle wanted to say something else.
However, Cody just shot her a stern glance.
While pouting, Cristelle said, “Boy, I’m doing this for Thea’s sake. Why are you sulking?”
A deep sigh escaped Linford. He felt relieved that Thea had no intention of returning to their home. He didn’t want to be subjected to Cody’s grimace on a daily basis.
The group ultimately decided to let Thea return with Cody.
By August, Thea’s tummy had already begun to expand.
Five months have passed since the birth of her child.
A loose top, however, still did not reveal much of her growing tummy.
All of her films were shown in the middle of July. A new benchmark was set by Heavenfall II.
Many people also went to see Wind & Dust.
Both of them were tremendously successful.
Thea didn’t make it to the red carpet for the screening of either film. Only through video was she able to communicate with the viewers. The host made a joke about how “Thea, you are the film’s primary character. You could have helped by showing up.”
For her part, Thea had no secrets to keep. She announced with a chuckle, “I’m pregnant! It’s likely that I won’t have to work for a whole calendar year. However, I hope to catch up with you all at the next premiere! I assure you.”
There was an uproar of applause from the spectators. The host appeared to be perspiring.
My God… To put it bluntly, Thea Todd was too simple. Therefore, for weeks, it was all everyone could talk about: Thea’s pregnancy.
After that, everyone on Thea’s team went silent.
Thea and Cody’s attendance at Amy’s wedding finally arrived in August. The two finally met for the first time at Amy and Chris’s wedding in London.
For Amy, this was the defining moment of her life. Thea and her husband made sure they were ready for the big day.
