An event was held two days later. Thea was invited to the gala without any doubt because of her significant performances in her shows and movies.
Before she left the door of the Weston house, Fritzi came to supervise her makeup and style.
Fritzi used to lead the fashion department in the company. Thea looked absolutely stunning after taking her advice.
When Thea got in the car, Zara mentioned that she was negotiating the endorsement of a luxury brand of watch. She said they used only to invite the top-tier artists of the nation to represent their product.
“I wouldn’t even dream of getting the endorsement. It’s like the A-list of the A-list. I only hope we can get the regional ad, and I will be thrilled. I heard the supervisor of their brand will show up tonight as well. Just try to impress him, will ya?”
Fritzi had woken Thea up early this morning to try dresses on. She couldn’t even keep her eyes open with her full makeup on right now.
Without knowing what the heck Zara was talking about, she only hummed and leaned against the seat to get a nap.
Zara shook her head, and her eyes fell on Thea’s wrist. Thea was wearing a diamond bracelet right now. She sighed and took out a luxury watch, ready to put it on Thea. However, Cody suddenly stops her, “Wait… What watch is that? It looks so ugly.”
Zara could only explain, “Well… It took me a while to borrow it from the brand. I know it doesn’t go with her dress, but it costs hundreds of thousands. If we really want that ad, we at least have to try a bit.”
Cody thought for a second and took off the indigo watch on his wrist, putting it on Thea’s wrist, “She can wear this. It’s the same brand.”
Thea was wearing an indigo cocktail dress tonight. That watch matched her look pretty well.
However…
Zara tried to remind her boss, “Sir, this one is for males.”
Cody arched an eyebrow, “So what? If those people ask about this male watch, you can always tell them that the watch is from her boss. But they probably wouldn’t be paying that much attention on a watch when Thea looked so stunning tonight.”
Zara shrugged and looked out of the window. She had never seen that watch before, but she could be sure that it must be hella expensive.
Cody nudged Thea gently and made sure she opened her eyes when they made it to the site of the event.
Thea hummed a little and stretched in the car. Cody smiled and dipped his head to kiss her on the lips.
Thea went blushed again.
When the door was held open, Thea stepped down from her car. Her presence attracted everyone’s attention.
It happened all the time. Thea had a beautiful face, and her dress tonight was even more stunning. She looked like a goddess as she walked down the red carpet. Her beauty was tempting, yet no one dared to get too close to her.
When she walked down the carpet, all the cameras and attention followed her step. People were screaming her name, asking her to look in their direction.
Thea smiled and waved, walking directly toward her seat after leaving her signature on the board.
Her seat was arranged among a group of famous female celebrities. Paris was one of them.
Zara frowned. Now, Thea’s popularity was way ahead of anyone sitting in that row. This sort of event wouldn’t even be able to be qualified to be listed in Thea’s schedule if she didn’t come for that endorsement. She didn’t know why the sponsor arranged the seats that way.
What Zara didn’t expect was that the supervisor of the brand that they tried to get was sitting right next to Thea.
Eva May was sitting next to Thea. Eva was one of those celebrities who struggled to get the best fashion resources, yet she constantly failed. She was wearing a watch that cost nearly millions. Her purpose for sitting here was trying to find the chance to get to know the supervisor, Eliot.
Eliot was from Paris. Eva knew some French. They were talking to each other in French all the time. Thea was sitting between, nodding and smiling all the time, even though she couldn’t understand a single word. She felt extremely awkward.
Eva noticed the look on her face, so she smiled at Thea, “Thea, do you wanna change our seats?”
Thea thought this requirement was a bit rude. But she also didn’t want to be stuck in between all the time. So she nodded and agreed.
Eva finally managed to sit next to Eliot. Zara was sitting in the row behind them, and she was so pissed off.
This Eva was so cunning.
And Thea was too easy to get fooled.
However, before she could tip on Thea’s shoulder and warn her about Eva, something dramatic happened.
Eliot suddenly exchanged his seat with Eva, and now he was sitting next to Thea again. A big smile showed up on Zara’s face.
Cody’s face fell.
What the heck was this French guy doing? Why was he sitting next to his Thea so close?
Meanwhile, Eliot’s eyes were fixed on Thea’s wrist. He looked at the watch that Cody put on Thea’s wrist with deep interest, “So it’s here.”
Thea looked up, realizing the good-looking man was talking to her, “Is it special?”
Eliot’s eyes widened, “This one is antique. One of our company’s best works in history. And there are only two of them in the whole world. I only saw this watch once six years ago during an auction in Paris. After that, I haven’t seen it until now. I really didn’t expect to see it tonight.”
This watch cost nearly 30 million back then. The buyer was filthy rich. This beautiful girl must be of some powerful background.
Eliot was intrigued, “Where did you get this watch?” Because he was sure, the buyer was a man.
“My boyfriend put it on me.” Thea smiled.
“Your boyfriend must love you very much. Because this watch carries the meaning of eternity.” Eliot smiled.
Thea blushed again.
