During the time when the interrogation was taking place, Thea was there at the location, filming a passionate scene with the male lead.
The scene happened on a boat, and they wrapped the scene pretty fast. When Thea’s assistant helped her get off the boat, she looked in a random direction and saw Mia. Mia was also on a boat with the girl she remembered to call Summer.
Hadn’t they had the discussion?
Why did Mia continue to spend her time with that other girl? Has she been lying to her?
Thea had a melancholy mood. She had the assumption that Mia would eventually start caring. However, it turned out that she did not believe her regardless of what she said or did to her.
Mia became aware that Thea was concentrating her gaze on her. She experienced a sudden onset of uneasiness for no apparent reason. Therefore, Mia made the decision to take Summer to another location where she could play.
And they somehow ran into Paris again.
“Gosh! Paris! It’s so lovely to see you,” Summer was so excited.
Mia, on the other hand, stayed quite calm.
Paris smiled, “I’m here to shoot an ad. I didn’t expect to see you guys again. So you guys are still gonna stay in the town for a while?”
Summer nodded, “Yeah. We’re gonna do some hiking at the central park later. Do you wanna go with us, Paris?”
Paris smiled, “Sounds awesome. After the event’s done, we’re also going to the central park. We can give you guys a lift.”
“Wow! That will be so nice,” Summer smiled.
Paris’s assistant smiled, “We can go together, but you guys need to keep it secret. None of us want to be chased around by fans.”
Summer nodded enthusiastically, “Don’t worry. We won’t tell anyone.”
Mia didn’t want to go with them at all, but Summer looked pretty excited. She didn’t want to be a buzzkill. So she nodded, “No problem.”
After the event was over, they drove to the central park and started to walk slowly up the mountain.
The mountain was not high, but the view was quite beautiful. Summer and Paris were chatting happily.
Mia was quite silent.
Paris noticed that Mia didn’t even want to get close to her, so she thought of a plan.
“Hey guys, there’s a fancy hotel in the middle of the mountain. That place is super cool, and they have the best hot spring. Why don’t we drop by and enjoy the hot spring there and a big meal before we continue the hiking?”
Summer nodded enthusiastically,” Great! The hot spring will be so cool. Mia, can we go?”
Mia was a bit hesitant.
“I will pay for the rooms, and you guys can just have fun,” Paris offered them.
Mia was rich, and she didn’t need other people to pay for her stay. Before she could say no, Summer suddenly grabbed her hand and started to fling it back and forth. Summer begged her like a little child, “Please, Mia. I really want to go.”
Mia did feel a bit hungry right now. So she sighed and nodded, “Fine.”
They walked for another 30 minutes, and they finally got to the hotel.
Paris ordered the best room for the girls. After enjoying a fancy dinner, Mia and Summer went back to their room.
It was already getting dark outside. Mia looked out of the window and stared at the shadows of the mountains and trees, feeling a bit weird.
Why was this Paris girl treating them so nicely? Yes, Summer said she was a fan and she was absolutely adoring Paris… But Paris got millions of fans like Summer.
What made them so special to her?
“Paris’s treating us so nicely. She booked us the best rooms, and she paid for the meal as well. She’s the best. I feel lucky to be a fan of someone like that,” Summer was super excited about the special treatment.
Mia only nodded, not saying anything.
Summer noticed Mia’s unusual quietness, so she asked carefully, “Mia, what’s wrong? You don’t look happy. Are you tired?”
Before Mia could answer, a call just came in.
She picked it up, and it was Candace. “Mia?” Candace sounded nervous, “Where the heck are you?”
Mia sighed, “We were halfway on the mountain. There was a hotel. We’re staying here for the night, and we will keep climbing tomorrow morning.”
“When will you come back? Gosh, we’re so worried. How could you just leave without saying anything? Listen, Thea’s gonna finish her shooting, and we will go back soon. Can you come back at noon tomorrow?”
“I guess…” Mia shrugged, “Don’t worry. I’m very safe with my friend.”
After hanging up the phone, Mia just stood there and stared at the black screen of her phone. Candace just said they were worried.
Did that mean Thea Todd was also worried about her?
Then why didn’t she call herself?
Mia huffed and threw her phone onto her bed.
Summer finally got changed before she turned to look at Mia, “Mia, what’s wrong?”
Mia said, “Nothing. I’m going to get changed as well. Let’s go to the pool directly after I get changed.”
“Okay.”
When the girls went to the pool, Paris was just about to leave.
Paris’s assistant explained, “Sorry. Pairs just got a new assignment. She probably couldn’t stay for the night with you guys.”
Summer looked a bit disappointed, “Really? What a pity. Guess we can only hang out next time. Have a safe journey back, Paris.”
Paris smiled at the girl and gave Mia an eye, “You guys also be careful.”
And then, they just left the hotel.
“Geez, these celebrities are so busy. They got money and fame, yet they just can’t have a day off. They must be so tired,” Summer exclaimed.
Mia looked in the direction where Paris’s car disappeared, and she suddenly said, “Summer, let’s head back as well. I don’t wanna stay here anymore.”
Summer blinked confusingly, “Why? But we’re already here. I’ve never lived in a hotel like this before. Please… Mia. I really want to stay here. Going back is boring.”
Mia, however, was pretty determined, “No. We’re going back tonight.”
