“Paris! Can I take a photo with you?!” Summer almost screamed, but she covered her mouth with her hand.
“Of course, honey,” Paris took off her sunglasses and smiled. Summer instantly took out her phone and took a selfie with Paris.
Mia didn’t join them.
Paris instantly noticed that Mia wasn’t her fan. It would be a bit hard for her to convince this spoiled brat.
But Paris didn’t mind. She smiled as she asked the girls, “Are you guys also tourists?”
Mia didn’t say anything. Summer, on the contrary, was extremely enthusiastic. She couldn’t believe Paris would be down to earth.
“Paris, are you here for your shooting?” Summer asked curiously.
“Not really, sweetie,” Paris shook her head, “I’m just here to take a short vacation and check out this beautiful town. The last shooting was exhausting. I came here to relax.”
Paris’s assistant was quite smart, asking quickly, “Do you guys know any good restaurants around this place?”
Summer instantly recommended a couple of good restaurants around the place.
Paris smiled, “Oh really? You guys look like great guides. Why don’t you join us for dinner tonight? We’d like to have some companies.”
Mia was a bit reluctant because she was a bit tired after spending her whole day watching the crew. But Summer was enthusiastic.
They thus followed Paris and her assistant, going to an Italian restaurant, Summer couldn’t believe her luck. She was invited to a restaurant by her favorite actor. And Paris was telling her all sorts of stories in her circle.
Summer cast a look at Mia. She looked as uninterested as before. So, Summer leaned forward and asked, “Paris, do you know anything about Thea? How is her personality?”
“Why are you asking?” Paris smiled. She was waiting for this question. “Are you guys her fans?”
“Nah, we’re just curious. She’s everywhere recently, isn’t she?” Summer smiled.
“Well…” Paris acted like she was trying to hide something, “She’s cool. She’s not bad.”
“Cool?” Paris’s assistant rolled her eyes, “She likes to steal other people’s roles the best. That historical drama was given to Nina to play the leading role. But Thea took that opportunity away just because her company’s more powerful than other competitors. She also tried to sabotage Paris several times.”
“That’s enough!” Paris quickly snapped.
She had instructed her assistant before the dinner to pull off this good-cop-and-bad-cop thing to make sure her hands stayed clean.
Now, she only hoped these silly girls would fall for her tricks and would do all sorts of schemes to ruin Thea Todd.
Her assistant instantly shut up as if she knew she just did something wrong.
Mia suddenly became interested, “What did she do to you?”
The assistant cast a look at Paris, pretending to be hesitant, “Well… Paris doesn’t allow me to say those things. People in showbiz could be nasty. I bet you guys also don’t want to know those things.”
Mia, however, had her own thought, “Did she steal Paris’s role as well?”
The assistant shrugged as she cut the meat on her plate, “I thought everyone knew it already. When she was still in that competition, she had so many flaws. Paris meant to give her some good advice so she could get better development. But Thea has such a narrowed mind. She thought Paris was trying to humiliate her. So she played a nasty trick to make Paris look like a fool in front of everyone. And that bitch even played innocent on Twitter. A couple of days ago, she stole Paris’s role in that movie called Era. That role should have been Paris’s. The female lead was a tough woman who went through a lot of difficult things to build her career. Thea’s clearly too young for that role, but she took the role anyway. That role belonged to mature women with actual life experience. She would never get that role if she didn’t have a sugar daddy.”
Mia dropped her gaze, not saying anything.
Summer nodded, “I heard she’s dating some guy who has a rich dad.”
“Rich guy? It’s fake. Her sugar daddy’s actually her boss. I heard he’s one of those Bradleys who happened to be the richest investor in this country. People said Thea’s a homewrecker. Mr. Bradley was gonna marry his girlfriend before she stole him away. What a whore!”
“Are you done, Jess?” Paris frowned, acting like she didn’t like her assistant to be so gossipy.
Jess shrugged and finally went quiet.
Summer smiled apologetically, “I’m sorry, Paris. We’re just curious. I promise you that we will never go around and tell everyone about it.”
Paris smiled warmly, “Sorry about my assistant’s talkative behavior. She talks too much sometimes. In this business, everyone has some inglorious history. No one’s perfect, including me.”
“How can you be the same with Thea Todd, Paris?” Summer snorted at the fact, “Even if you did something to get the role, you also did that because you had no choice. That Thea Todd has a pretty face, and she decided to find herself a sugar daddy. That’s so disgusting. She only wants to use her pretty face to get what she wants. She doesn’t have any talents at all.”
What Summer said made Mia quite unhappy. Yes, it was all because of her face. If Thea didn’t have that pretty face, she wouldn’t be able to steal Cody from Amy. Her Great-grandpa wouldn’t even like Thea that much.
She stole everyone’s love away from her.

After the meal, the four women left the restaurant. They chatted a bit, and it turned out they were staying in the same hotel. They thus decided to walk back together.
Summer asked Paris about all sorts of things in showbiz; Mia, however, was quite silent all the time.
She was really jealous of Thea. But she knew there was nothing she could do. Thea was right now the darling of their family. From now on, Mia couldn’t get all the attention anymore. Her Mom and Dad also wouldn’t spoil her as before. Even Logan accused her of being selfish one time.
Mia suddenly wanted to leave this country for real. Maybe going to England was not a bad choice.
