“Linford…Linford… She really is my Demi!” Drew was crying as he got the DNA result from the doctor. He couldn’t hold his tears back anymore, and he was crying like a baby. He couldn’t explain how happy he felt right now.
He thought he had lost his girl forever. But now, she is finally back.
Linford assured him as he patted his back gently, failing to conceal the excitement in his voice, “We need to bring the result to your grandpa immediately. Mr. Weston will be so glad. Just remember to tell him little by little. I don’t want to give the old man a heart attack.”
“Of course,” Drew nodded in agreement.
When they went to Mr. Weston’s house, the old man was sitting in his yard, drinking a cup of tea.
He noticed that Drew and Linford came together, and the happiness on their faces was hard to conceal. He instantly guessed the reason they came here.
“Is it,” The old man’s mouth fell open, his heart drumming against his chest.
“Grandpa, look.” Drew gave the report to Mr. Weston, “You were right! Thea is our Demi.”
Mr. Weston’s hands were shaking as he read the medical report. Drew then showed him the videos he had copied from the teacher when he went to Thea’s school.
The girl singing in the middle of the stage was clearly Demi.
“Good… This is so nice.” Mr. Weston’s voice was thick with emotion. He couldn’t stop smiling as he saw how lovely and happy the girl was in the video.
He felt so grateful that a great family adopted Thea. So she could grow up happily. And now, they were even lucky enough to get her back.
Mr. Weston looked at the video again and again. He couldn’t even tear his eyes apart from the phone, “The girl has her foster parents now. She probably doesn’t even know that she was actually adopted. Just try to take it slow when you guys tell her the truth. We can’t scare her. And your family, Drew, you also need to give them the time to accept this, especially Logan and Mia.”
Drew nodded heavily, “I know what to do, Grandpa. I will take care of them.”

“Fritzi, come to my office after dinner. I have something to tell you,” Drew went upstairs before he told Fritzi. “What do you want to tell me, boss?” Fritzi joked at him.
“It’s a surprise,” Drew smiled. Logan nudged Mia. The brother and sister exchange a look.
“Finish your vegetables,” Fritzi ordered before going upstairs.
“What happened? Why are you acting so mysterious today, Mr. Weston?” Fritzi went into the office, still wearing her apron.
Drew smiled mysteriously and handed her a medical report.
Fritzi arched an eyebrow as she took the sheet of paper. Then, after reading it for a second, her eyes widened, “Oh my god! This is a DNA test… Positive?! What the heck did you do behind my back, Drew Weston?! Did you cheat on me? Have you had a child with another woman?!”
“God, no!” Drew suddenly had a headache, “It’s not other kids! It’s our Demi! I suspected that Thea is Demi. So I stole her hair and took a DNA test. Guess what? The DNA matched! Thea Todd is our Demi, honey. Thea is our daughter!”
For a while, Fritzi was unable to spit a word. Her lips were trembling as she slumped onto the couch behind her.
Drew went forward to make sure she was okay, “Are you okay, honey?”
“I…. I..” Fritzi breathed, her face pale, “Demi is still alive? And she is… Thea is…”
“Yes, honey,” Drew nodded with tears in his eyes, “Yes…”
Fritzi felt something really heavy had finally gotten off her chest. She circled her arms around her husband’s neck and started to cry. She cried so hard, as if she had tried to suppress those tears for decades.
“She’s our baby… She’s our baby girl. Our Demi grew up. She grew up into a big star.”
After crying for a while, Drew slowly explained everything to his wife.
Fritzi was smiling, but tears were still falling from her eyes, “I knew she must be alive! I… Sorry… Honey. But I can’t wait… I need to see her right now.”
Drew drew her in closer and put his hands on her shoulders as he said, “I know…. I know how much you want to see her. I also want to talk to her in person and share everything with her. But Demi is completely in the dark about this at the moment. Do you really think it’s a good idea to scare her? If we walk up unannounced and tell her everything, she will have a nervous breakdown. Hence, we need to be more patient with her.
“Right. You are totally correct in every way.” Fritzi gave a little nod and said, “I’m sorry, but I’m not really being myself right now.” That would be such an obvious mistake if we were to simply come right out and tell her. We need to come up with a strategy.”
The couple didn’t leave the office until the middle of the night.
Mia and Logan were freaked out when they saw their Mom’s puffy eyes when they came upstairs.
“Mom…. Why did you cry?” Logan’s mouth fell open, “Did Dad bully you?”
“Dad! You can’t bully Mom!” Mia seemed to be annoyed by their father, “If you dare to bully her, I swear I will sue you!”
Drew knocked his little daughter on her head, “Save some energy for school tomorrow, Mia girl.”
Mia covered her head and pouted her lips.
“Your dad didn’t bully me.” Fritzi sniffed as she pulled out a smile, “I was just getting emotional. It would be best if you guys went back to sleep. You still have school tomorrow.”
Mia and Logan exchanged a look, going back to their bedrooms reluctantly.
Drew and Fritzi almost spent the whole night talking.
The following day, after the boy and girl had gone to their school, they called the driver and immediately went to Thea’s crew.
