Cristelle called Thea the second day when they were still in Cody’s private jet. She invited Thea, her Mom, and her Granny to come over for dinner.
Cristelle said she had watched Thea’s shows, saying that she was a big fan.
Thea was a bit nervous, but when she turned to look at Cody, Cody was smiling at her.
She thought it would be rude if she said no.
So she agreed to go.
Bradley was a big family. Not only Bradley was present today, but also the Weston and the Watson twins.
Thea felt a bit overwhelmed by so many people. She brought all of them gifts from Italy. Cristelle seemed to be loving the gifts she brought.
Logan Weston was the first who ran over, “So you’re really that Thea? That Thea who took care of Cody as his nurse? I thought you were at least 35.”
Thea took in a deep breath, “Yeah. That was me.”
“You changed so much.” Logan narrowed his eyes suspiciously, “You didn’t do any plastic surgeries, did you?”
Thea could only smile awkwardly. She didn’t know how to answer a question like that.
“Logan, will you shut up?” Candace barged in.
“What?” Logan stared at Candace, “I’m curious.”
Thea’s Granny smiled, “Our Thea is a natural beauty. She’s never done any plastic surgeries, right, baby?”
“Of course, Thea is a natural beauty. Anyone can tell,” Cristelle smiled, “Guys, let’s not stand here. Just come in and take a seat. It’s a family meal. Please feel free to feel comfortable in the house.”
Thea’s Granny was brought to talk to Pop and Mr. Weston when they got into the main building. Grace was a bit shy, suddenly being brought to meet so many people.
Cristelle went to chat with Grace, “I heard you’re an amazing cook, Grace. Would you like to give me some tips in the kitchen later?”
The Mom’s seemed to enjoy their time together. Thea finally relaxed a little.
“Wow, Thea, you’re even more beautiful when you’re not on the screen,” Amy exclaimed when they went to the garden to take a walk.
“Thank you, Amy, you’re also beautiful,” Thea still remembered her from the cinema. The girl Cody said had a crush on him. Yet he only treated her as his little sister.
The sun was pretty bright today. And it was not even that cold outside. All the young people had left the house for the garden.
Mia was the average-looking one among all the girls. She didn’t like the topic at all.
She got even angrier as she looked at Thea’s perfect face, “Well… She wouldn’t have gotten so many awards if she didn’t have a pretty face, right?”
That was quite a sour comment. But Thea didn’t seem like she was angry. She smiled, “You’re definitely right.”
Candace couldn’t tolerate this, “Mia, what you said is actually wrong. Thea is the best actress I’ve ever seen. She wouldn’t have gotten those awards if she didn’t have that much talent. You can’t win awards simply because you’re pretty.”
Mia snorted, “But she still has to be pretty to catch people’s eyes, right? If she’s not pretty, the director wouldn’t even have used her. The actors I respect most are those who still won a lot of awards without the best appearances. They can fit in with all sorts of characters, and they will never use their pretty faces for marketing themselves.”
Why did the girl seem to dislike her so much? Thea didn’t have a clue. But she had already gotten used to judgments like this. She didn’t even care now. Today was a family meal. Mrs. Bradley must have put so much effort into preparing for this gathering.
Thea didn’t want to ruin the atmosphere. She thus shook her head, not continuing the conversation anymore.
Cody, however, suddenly spoke up, “Mia, your point of view is biased. So according to your theory, those who have pretty faces must be terrible actors? That is not fair at all. You’re not the center of the universe, Mia. You don’t have to change other people simply because you don’t like the traits you found in them.”
Mia used to be the baby of the group. She had gotten used to being given all the attention. Her parents spoiled her. Candace and Cristelle adored her. Even Cody also protected her.
But why did everyone just change after Thea Todd came to the house? Mia pouted. Logan shook his head. His little sister was too spoiled. It was probably because she was the smallest kid among all of them.

When they went back to the house, Zoey brought freshly cut fruit from the greenhouse.
Cody never liked anything sweet, “I’m fine. Give Thea some pineapple. It is her favorite.”
Amy’s eyes widened. Does Cody even know what that girl’s favorite fruit was?
This was so unfair.
She grabbed a small plate of fruit absent-mindedly, noticing that Thea was laughing and chatting with Candace. That made her feel even worse.
Why did everyone seem to adore this girl?
What was so good about her except for being pretty?
The dinner was ready soon. Zoey showed up to ask them to go to the dining room. Cody had gotten used to sitting next to Thea. He didn’t notice Amy’s vicious stare as he sat next to the girl.
Cristelle looked so happy tonight, “Grace just gave me some kitchen tips when we made the dinner. I bet you guys will love tonight’s dishes.”
Grace was smiling and nodding.
Linford noticed that his son was sitting right next to that Thea girl. He would even ask her how she liked the dishes occasionally. Cody was so different when he was with Thea. He was so sweet and attentive that Linford even started to feel a bit weird.
Cody was murmuring something to Thea’s ear, and Thea seemed to be laughing at their secret joke.
CLASH!
A glass suddenly fell off Amy’s hand. The glass fell into millions of pieces, along with Amy’s heart. It cost her a great deal not to shoot up from her seat and leave the room.
