Thea’s Mom came to visit her daughter the next day, bringing the girl a lot of food she had made.
Grace was amazed to see Cody was still around.
“Isn’t your boss a busy man?” Grace asked Thea when Cody left the ward to pick up a phone call, “How come he still has time to look after when his business is so busy?”
Thea was having the soup her Mom made for her silently, shrugging. She also didn’t have any idea.
Right after Cody came in, a tall figure suddenly showed up by the door. Dylan came in. He was wearing a hat and sunglasses so the paparazzi wouldn’t recognize him.
Candace let out an audible gasp as Dylan took off his mask.
“Dylan!” Thea’s eyes lit up, “How did you … You don’t have to come.”
Cody arched an eyebrow coldly.
Thea Todd seemed quite thrilled to see this man. When did these two become so close exactly? And what the heck was Dylan doing here? He should be working for the company at the moment.
How could he just walk around so randomly? Cody was not happy seeing Dylan around.
Dylan smiled charmingly as he took a seat by the bed, “I got an ad shooting around here. So I decided to drop by and take a look. How are you? Are you feeling any better now?”
Thea nodded, “I’m feeling so much better. It’s just a couple of small cuts on my legs, and they are not even that deep. I can go back to the crew soon.”
Dylan nodded before turning to say hi to other people in the room.
Grace was so excited as she shook hands with the big star, her voice trembling. “It’s good to see you, Dylan… I’m a big fan.”
Dylan flashed his most endearing smile, “It’s my honor, Mrs. Todd. Now I see where did Thea get her pretty face from.”
“Such a thing you say,” Grace went blushing, “Thanks for coming to visit Thea.”
“Thea and I became friends when we shot a movie together and I just dropped by. You don’t need to thank me, Mrs. Todd,” Dylan’s manner was impeccable.
Grace was completely in love with the good-looking young man. Cody was sitting on the couch. The air around him became a bit cold. But no one noticed that because Dylan clearly had every woman’s attention in the room, including his own little sister.
Dylan even brought some gifts over, not only flowers.
Candace was holding her phone. She looked flustering as she asked Dylan carefully, “Dylan… Can I take a selfie with you?”
“Of course,” Dylan smiled as he waved at Grace, “Do you wanna join us?”
“Of course,” Grace was so excited.
Cody was a bit unhappy. Was this man really feeling something for Thea?
Or why would he come to visit?
The three people looked like they were having fun. Cody couldn’t endure this anymore. He cleared his throat.
Were these people treating him like air?
Dylan only noticed him now, “Mr. Bradley…. I didn’t know you were here as well.”
Wily hummed, “You just said you were doing an ad shooting? What ads is it?”
Dylan answered, “A high-end makeup product… It’s gonna get started at 2 pm.”
“Oh…. I see,” Cody said. Then Dylan wasn’t lying about being around.
The way Cody talked was a bit sour, but no one really noticed that.
Thea was still smiling. In her eyes, everything looked normal and nice.
Grace said, “If you guys would stay for lunch, I will cook something for all of you later.”
Candace was happy, “Sounds great. Everyone, Grace is a wonderful chef.”
Dylan said he wouldn’t stay because his schedule was tight. Everyone could understand that because he was probably the most popular star in this industry now.
After they had lunch, Beth and Luna also came to visit. Both of the girls dressed randomly. They’d rather stay low because they didn’t want the paparazzi to catch them. They both brought Thea nice flowers.
The girls were quite thrilled to see each other. They hadn’t seen each other for weeks since they all had separate schedules.
Beth and Luna were a bit nervous since Cody was around. They both knew that Cody was quite powerful in this circle. They didn’t expect Cody to care about Thea so much. They exchanged a couple of words with Cody out of politeness. Cody nodded.
These girls had their hearts in the right place, and they hid from the paparazzi when they decided to visit Thea. They were both talented. Maybe they had the potential to get bigger.
Beth checked out Thea’s wounds and frowned, “How did it become like this?”
Luna also seemed concerned. Thea told them the wounds were not serious, trying to calm them down.
Grace asked if they had any lunch before they came. The girls said their schedules were pretty tight, so they hadn’t eaten anything before they came here.
Grace instantly brought out some pastries she had made. Beth and Luna couldn’t stop complimenting Grace’s cooking skills after they tasted the pastries.
And then, Tiffany suddenly showed up by the door.
She was wearing a tight black dress, and her makeup was impeccable.
“Ohmigod….” Tiffany exclaimed as she saw Thea in bed, “Honey, I heard you fall, and I instantly came over to check you out… Are you alright? I’m so worried. That’s why I decided to come here.”
Thea was embarrassed.
Tiffany didn’t look like she was here to check her out. She looked like she spent 2 hours making her style before showing up in the hospital so the paparazzi could catch her on camera.
She was giving her fans another piece of material, telling everyone how caring she was.
Thea couldn’t imagine how thick her skin must be.
Grace was a bit surprised, “Who are you?”
Tiffany had clearly done her research, “It’s good to see you finally, Mrs. Todd. I’m your daughter’s best friend.”
Best friend? She was stunned after hearing Tiffany’s words.
How did she even manage to say that without feeling embarrassed by herself?
