Weston and Watson came to visit the Bradley House during the weekend, bringing their parents as well. This almost became a tradition of the three families. And this tradition didn’t change even though the kids had grown up. Cody was a bit tired of witnessing this kind of practice. He’d rather spend all his weekend in his office than get harassed by the Weston and Watson siblings.
Thomas came upstairs to knock on his door, “Boss, you got to hang out with the gang this weekend. You promised us last week.”
“What gang?” Cody pulled a face, “And don’t come in.”
Thomas pushed the door open and came in, “You can’t abandon us, Boss. You’re the big brother of the group. We will feel so lost without your guidance.”
“You guys are doing just fine without my guidance,” Cody was busy collecting the files on his desk, “In the department of being a bunch of idiots.”
“Ha! Very funny.” Thomas made a face, “If you don’t hang out with us, I’m gonna tell Auntie Cristelle that you didn’t show up on the blind date she set up for you with that Moore girl.”
Cody’s hands faltered, “Do you really really dare to tell my Mom?”
“I don’t want to.” Thomas said, “But if you refuse the movie night, I will find something interesting to watch one way or another.”
Sometimes, Cody wished he could beat this friend of his without any consequences.
“Fine!” He sighed and threw the pile of files away, “I will be downstairs in a minute. Tell Matt to get the car ready.”
Thomas stomped his heels and saluted before leaving Cody’s office.
There were people lining up before the theater when they got there. Tonight was the premier of Dylan’s new movie. His fans were lining up before the cinema, chatting and murmuring excitedly.
Cody stood in the line, tall and eye-catching in his full workaholic glory, secretly telling himself that this might be a great opportunity to do market research for Dylan’s influence.
Amy was holding a bucket of popcorn, blushing as she squeezed her way to Cody’s side, “Cody… Cody… do you want to have one of those hot dogs? You always bought one hot dog when we came here to watch movies.”
Cody frowned a bit and looked down. The girl smiled sweetly at her, her cheeks red in the cold air.
Candace nudged Thomas as she noticed how close Amy was to Cody right now. That was a unique romantic.
“No,” Cody’s answer was not romantic at all, “I was only like 13 back then. Why would I want hot dogs now?”
The smile on Amy’s face vanished, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Earlier, she was only excited that she could finally hang out with Cody a bit. Unfortunately, she seldom saw this man recently.
But he didn’t look like he cared about her at all.
Amy really wanted to be with him all the time. But Cody was such a busy man. They barely had any time to see each other. Today, Cody seemed extremely impatient.
But Cody was not always this cold. Sometimes he would smile at her and spoil her too. But Amy had a feeling that this man only treated her as his little sister.
However, Amy wanted more.
She would never give up.

Meanwhile, in the other line of people, Thea was wearing a hat, a black coat, a mask, and a pair of sunglasses. She was fully covered. No one could tell who she really was.
Thea had been planning to spend another lazy day at home. However, Dylan’s call suddenly came in, inviting her out for a movie.
Thea was so excited, and she didn’t think much as she said yes.
However, she didn’t meet Dylan outside of the cinema since he suddenly had some emergency to handle. He sent her a message, telling her to wait for him inside the theater. Thea thus agreed on it. She didn’t want to bring him any trouble. So she texted him again and told him that she would be there waiting and that he didn’t need to hurry. The movie was gonna begin, and she was at the rear of the queue.
When she looked up impatiently, she suddenly spotted Cody’s tall figure at the front.
Cody was always eye-catching. It was not hard to find him among the crowd if someone wanted to look for him.
Thea smiled. She wanted to walk forth to talk to him, maybe join him in the row. However, a smaller figure sticking to his side caught Thea’s eyes the next minute.
Thea blinked and stopped.
Was Cody on a date? The girl was wearing luxurious brands all over her body, and she looked cute with her blonde hair and great sense of fashion.
Must be one of those rich girls growing up in big families and receiving the best education.
A girl from Cody’s world. She has to remember that he is Cody Bradley, after all. He always got the best, including his girlfriend.
Looking at them, they looked amazing when they stood next to each other.
Thea stood there, feeling an unfamiliar emotion churning in her chest. Even if that girl was his girlfriend, she still should walk forward and greet him.
However, for some reason, she stood rooted on the ground watching until they walked into the entrance and disappeared from her sight.
Cody was about to get into the theater. However, a familiar feeling suddenly brought him back to look around. Thea noticed his motion in that split second. She dropped her gaze and focused on her phone immediately as if she was scrolling down and looking at something on her phone.
She had herself all covered up. Cody shouldn’t be able to recognize her.
But Cody quickly noticed her.
He saw through her disguise instantly. He cleared his throat, attempting to approach the girl. However, Candace just came back from buying coke and popcorn, dragging him into the theater timely.
Amy was a bit curious as they found their seats in the dark, “Cody… What were you looking at just now?”
“Nothing,” Cody answered coldly, seemingly not in the mood to talk more.
