“No,” Derek frowned as he took a small step back, keeping his distance, “You’ve changed five times. You can’t be too wayward, Paris. You’ve only got 5 minutes left. You need to see Mr. Dogg right now. Get yourself prepared.”
Paris cast Jason one last resentful look before she went to get changed and put some makeup on.
After that, she followed Derek to another suite.
Mr. Dogg was a famous investor in this industry. He funded many famous works, TV shows, documentaries, and movies.
“Mr. Dogg, do you want more wine?” Paris charmingly smiled as she poured the overweight man another white wine. Mr. Dogg was ugly, and the look he gave Paris was also lewd. But Paris didn’t care since she just wanted money. She would have given Thea Todd to him if her assistant had been less stupid.
“Mr. Dogg, about the new project I mentioned to you the last time,” Derek asked carefully.
Mr. Dogg couldn’t tear his eyes away from Paris’s chest and thighs. He cleared his throat as he turned to face Derek, “Oh, you mean the TV series? What was the name… The Legend of the Moon? I’m afraid I don’t have enough money at the moment.”
Derek smiled, “But The Legend of the Moon was the bestseller. You know it has a huge fan base. Besides, both Paris and Justin will be in it. It will be big.”
“I know what you’re trying to sell, Derek. But I’m telling the truth,” Dogg was a bit drunk at this point, “I’ve given some money to The Good Old Days. And I’ve given the rest to The Top Girlband. I really don’t have any left.” Dogg was pretty honest.
The star-making reality shows were everywhere these days, and people had already gotten tired of those content. Derek was pretty confident, “There are still a couple of months before the setting up of The Legend of the Moon. You can always change your mind, my friend.”
Mr. Dogg only smiled and nodded. Shrewd businessmen like himself seldom jumped to conclusions too soon.
Paris was still confused as they drove back in the car, “What’s wrong with Mr. Dogg? The Legend of the Moon has a prospect. Why did he still choose to fund a small reality show held by a newly founded company? It’s ridiculous.”
Derek only looked out of the window, his voice calm, “That newly founded company is Honer Entertainment.”
“What’s so great about this Honer Entertainment?” Paris snorted at him.
Derek cast her a mocking look, explaining, “This Honer Entertainment is held by the prince of the Bradley House, Cody Bradley, and ever heard about him? No matter how fucked-up he runs the company, his old man will wipe ass for him in the end anyway. And Bradley’s finances were endless. That is something we would never be able to compete in. By the way, when the show begins, you will be the judge. Just go to the show and figure out what they’re gonna do.”
“I’ll be on that stupid show?” Paris frowned, “I don’t want them to use my halo. Do you know how much popularity I’m gonna bring to their show?”
“I don’t care as long as they can afford you. Besides, getting their audiences and making yourself the center of the show will also be good for you,” Derek retaliated coldly. He was always a perfect agent.
Paris finally got his intention at this moment, smiling, “You’re always being so considerate when it comes to my benefits, Derek. I feel lucky to have you around.”
Derek only looked out of the window, keeping silent at this moment.

Meanwhile, the director of the star-making show, The Top Girlband, was searching for his candidates on the street in the movie base.
After running into those horrible people a couple of days ago, Thea had managed to pull herself together. Today, she was running to another audition for a movie.
She happened to run into the director on the street.
“Good morning,” The director stopped Thea since she was pretty good-looking and eye-catching among the crowd.
Thea stopped confusingly.
“We’re selecting candidates for our show. Would you give us a minute?” The director politely asked.
“Why- why?” Thea appeared slightly startled as she noticed the huge camera before her.
“As I said, we’re selecting the candidates for our star-making talent show, The Top Girlband.” The director hastily explained.
“No! no! no!” Thea stopped him, “I mean, why me?”
“Huh?” The director didn’t expect Thea to ask him this question, “Be-because…”
“Because I’m pretty?” Thea reminded him with an arched eyebrow.
“Yeah. Definitely.” The director started to feel that he was the one who was caught off-guard on the street and got interviewed.
“Thank you,” Thea pressed one hand on her chest with a serious look on her face, “That is my daily dose of confidence. I’m grateful.”
“Pfft…” The camera assistant laughed, “Sorry.”
This girl was quite interesting. The director felt lucky to run into someone of this energy level on the first try. He grinned, “I’m sure a beautiful girl like you won’t be short of confidence.”
“You have no idea, man,” Thea shook her head, “This industry is cut-throat. Being pretty is useless. Pretty girls are thick on the ground. You go into a random diner, and you will see future Natalie Portman giving you an attitude when you order your food. Future Scarlett Johansson is arguing her coupons with cashiers in the store. I got bashed mercilessly during my last audition. And I will probably go back and order some pizza and cry myself to sleep tonight. Hollywood is a slaughterhouse for pretty girls. It destroys you in every aspect.”
The cameraman was shaking as he tried to suppress his laughter.
“You’re running around for auditions? Who are you, then? Future Natalie Portman or future Scarlett Johansson?” The director asked, laughing.
“Well…” Thea mused seriously for a second, “I’d like to say Natalie Portman because she’s a brunette as well. But in my case, I would probably end up becoming Natalie’s mom in Black Swan. You know… that ballerina who failed to accomplish her dream and ended up pushing her daughter out of her sanity.”
“That is a sorrowful story,” The director shook his head, “But your story probably won’t be that sad because you just passed the audition for our show… Miss…. I’m sorry…. What was your name again?”
“Really?” Thea’s eyes widened as her hands shot to cover her mouth, “Oh wow… I can’t believe it. I’m so lucky.”
