Cody suddenly recalled some old memories.
“Farming is great. It can be a bit tough sometimes. But at least it’s their own.” He remembered when he was living in that small town with his Mom and Candace. They had so much fun even though they were not rich back then. And Candace had been taken away by that kidnapper back then, causing her some trauma.
Thea shrugged, “It’s not bad.”
Things would have been perfect if those punks had left them alone.
Cody wanted to tell Thea to lower her standards and find a boyfriend as soon as possible. But the conversation suddenly summoned his sad memories.
So he asked, “It will be Thanksgiving day two days later, right? We should go back to my parents.”
Thea nodded, saying yes.

Two days later, they went to Linford and Cristelle’s house. Before they left, Cody handed Thea a purple dress, “You should wear this today, Thea. Don’t wear that old t-shirt. It doesn’t look good on you. I hope you look good when I bring you out.”
Thea laughed and took the dress. She went to her room and put it on. The dress was perfect for today’s weather. It felt comfortable against her skin, and the fabric was of high quality.
The dress accentuated Thea’s curves. And that contradicted her disguise makeup a little. Her face looked old, yet her body looked like a young girl’s.
However, it was Cody’s order. Thea knew she couldn’t say no.
After getting in the car, they drove toward the mansion. The two mansions were quite far from each other.
When they finally made it there, it was already noon.
“Cody! You’re finally here. Mom has been waiting for you!” Candace hooped over. She wanted to take the wheelchair.
Cody, however, didn’t like the idea, “Move aside, Candace. I want Thea to push me.”
“Thea? Where’s Thea? Did she even come?” Candace looked around. Thea went a bit embarrassed, “Miss… I’m here.”
“Holy! You are Thea?!” Candace’s eyes widened dramatically, “When did you become so fit?”
Thea was a bit speechless.
Everyone started to laugh.
Cristelle pulled her daughter back, “Don’t say any nonsense, young girl. Can’t you be polite?” And then, the elegant lady turned to Thea, “Sorry for Candace’s taunts. She means no harm. By the way, your dress looks beautiful on you.”
“Of course, Mrs. Bradley. Thank you for the compliment. You also look stunning yourself,” Thea smiled and returned the compliment.
Mr. Weston was here as well. He pulled a face as he turned to Cody, “Why didn’t you even come back to visit me and your Pop, boy? Don’t you know your Pop missed you so much?”
Cody felt a bit guilty, “I’m sorry, I’ll come back more often soon.”
Franco cast Mr. Weston a look, “What are you talking about, Weston? Can’t you see that Cody even can’t move right now? It must be extremely inconvenient. You’re asking too much. Cody, are you feeling any better now? I heard you’re recovering quite fast?”
Thea couldn’t explain why, but she felt so familiar when she saw the two old men. She felt as if she had seen them a long time ago.
“Thea, have you gone to the gym recently? You look so good today.” Candace approached Thea again.
Thea smiled, “Thank you, Candace. I didn’t go to the gym. Your brother actually trained me.”
“Really? You’re so lucky. Cody is a strict person. But if you follow his instructions, you will usually get great outcomes.” Candace admired her brother quite much. Cody actually also trained her to lose weight when she wanted to learn ballet.
“Really? Then I’ll definitely follow his instructions more in the future.” Thea enthusiastically smiled while answering Candace’s words.
Cody felt both proud and worried after hearing Thea say that. This woman admired him too much. Would she still be able to find a boyfriend in the future? During the conversation, a black Rolls-Royce pulled over before the mansion.
It was Drew, Fritzi, and their son and daughter.
“Cody! You’re also here today!” Logan excitedly asked as he saw his favorite older brother. Logan had looked up to Cody since he was a boy. Cody was the person Logan admired the most in his life.
Drew knew the fact very well. “I know you may think Cody is the coolest person in this world. But I remember how much he respected his uncle when he was your age.”
Logan’s eyes lit up, “Cody and I do share some similarities. We both have massive respect for soldiers.”
“No matter how much you respect soldiers. Don’t be a soldier,” Cody warned him, “Your condition won’t allow you.”
Logan sighed, “I know. You don’t need to remind me repeatedly.” Logan’s heart had an issue. He would never be able to become a soldier.
“Cody, you look so much better now,” Mia smiled. “Thank you. You too,” Cody smiled back.
Fritzi was a bit curious as she saw Thea. She turned to Cristelle and asked with a hushed voice, “Who’s that woman? I don’t think I’ve seen her before.”
Cristelle smiled, patting Fritzi’s shoulder, “She’s Thea. I mentioned her to you before, remember? Cody’s new nurse.”
“Oh. Fritzi nodded, “I thought she was in her 40s? She looked quite good for her age.”
Cristelle smiled again, “Thea just started to work out recently. Cody helped her with her diet and training plan.”
“Wow, really?” Fritzi looked surprised.
Cody was sitting near the couch and talking to the two old men. Thea didn’t feel comfortable when she was around the family. However, she still couldn’t stop feeling familiar when she was in this house. It was weird because she could be sure that she had never been here before.
She used to live in a small town before she came to the big city. She could be sure that she had never come to this house before.
Cody was laughing and talking to the two old men. None of them noticed how pale Thea just got.
“I’m a bit hungry now. Can you fetch some cookies for me, Lily?” Pop suddenly asked during the conversation.
Thea took some fruit and went forth, “Sir, the meal’s gonna be served soon. Why don’t you have some fruit first?”
Mr. Weston finally noticed Thea. He asked confusingly, “Who are you?”
