“Any problem?” Cindy blinked as she observed the look on Drew’s face.
“Oh… Nothing,” Drew shook his head and started to drive.
Cindy was surprised as Drew got out of his car with her after they pulled over.
“You’re coming as well?” Cindy asked, smiling
Drew was a bit awkward, “I’m actually also here to see a friend.”
“That’s nice,” Cindy adjusted her bag on her shoulder, “Let’s go then.”
Drew planned to get into the restaurant and find a corner. So he could order some sashimi and go on as his disguise when he spied on Fritzi and that dickhead.
But fate had to bring Fritzi and Paul out when he and Cindy were about to enter the door.
Drew only felt all his blood had rushed to his head, and he couldn’t even spit out a word as he met Fritzi’s beautiful eyes.
Fritzi and Paul had just finished their meal, and they were about to get some movie tickets to the nearby cinema.
Fritzi’s eyes skimmed Drew’s face and then Cindy’s.
“Oh my god, Fritzi!” Cindy went forth and gave Fritzi a hug as if they’d known each other for years, “You guys are also here for lunch?”
Fritzi nodded politely, “Their dishes are good. However, you must get in now if you want to eat here. There are a lot of customers. You will need to wait for empty tables if you get in any late.”
And then, she hooked Paul’s arm and walked away.
“Fritzi… We’re not here…” Cindy acted like she wanted to explain, but Fritzi and Paul had walked away.
“Oh no. I hope she didn’t misunderstand our relationship.” Cindy murmured to herself.
Drew felt complicated as he stood there watching Fritzi and Paul walk away.
“Doctor? Doctor! Are you alright?” Cindy seemed worried.
Drew only forced out a smile now, “I’m okay.”
Cindy was curious, “Who’s that guy Fritzi with? Is he her boyfriend?”
Drew’s face went a bit rigid, “They look like they’re together?”
“They look perfect for each other.” Cindy laughed.
Drew suddenly became a bit annoyed, but he carefully avoided the annoyance in his voice, cutting her words, “You’ve still got a friend waiting for you, right? Get in, and don’t let your friend wait.”
Cindy nodded, “Okay. You’re not getting in?”
“Never mind. I…” Drew took a deep breath, “I suddenly remembered that I still had something to handle back in the hospital.”
“Oh, okay. See you soon,” Cindy nodded and walked into the restaurant. The kimono-clad waitresses bowed at her as she walked into the door.
Drew walked out as if he had lost half of his soul. Has Fritzi gone home yet? She wouldn’t go to that douchebag’s place tonight, would she?
Drew didn’t want to go to his apartment alone tonight. He didn’t want to have weird ideas and do something he would regret the next morning.
So he went to his grandpa’s mansion. But he still failed to fall asleep, lying awake the whole night. He immediately texted Fritzi when he realized it was 7 in the morning.
“Are you still alive?”
Fritzi replied quite late this time, “Almost. Preparing for work right now.”
Drew let out a long sigh before finally typing out, “How was the date with Mr. Elite?”
“Good. Pop does know men better than I do. He’s a great guy.” The cheerfulness in the text made Drew sick.
Drew was unable to think of any right words to reply to her. He threw his phone angrily away. Luckily, the floor in his bedroom was carpeted.
He felt pathetic.
Of course, Paul was a good guy. He was definitely not the type of guy who would fuck Fritzi when she was drunk.
Drew rolled over and let his body fall on the floor. He felt like a piece of human garbage.
He would have the chance with Fritzi if he could keep his dick in his pants.
Drew took in deep breaths on the carpet, telling himself to cheer up as his patients still needed him in the hospital.
After more deep breaths, he finally managed to stand up and drag his feet to the bathroom to shower.
When he got downstairs, Mr. Weston was sitting in the garden and tasting his morning tea, “Where are you going?”
“Working,” Drew said curtly.
“Is this how you talk to your grandpa?” Mr. Weston sounded unhappy.
“Sorry for my rudeness, Sir,” Drew bowed Shakespearely, “My humble self is going to the medical house to save people’s lives. Now, if you don’t mind, would you excuse my meek presence and allow me to piss off in my electronic carriage?”
“Don’t get smart with me,” Mr. Weston hissed, “How’s it going with that Cindy girl?”
“Cindy, who?” Drew played dumb.
“Candace’s dance teacher,” Mr. Weston asked, “That girl sent you cookies a couple of days ago. She clearly has a crush on you. How did you respond?”
Drew was losing his patience, “I don’t like her in that way. I only wanted to help her because she had just lost her sister.”
“Then why haven’t you told her yet? You’re wasting her time,” Mr. Weston pointed it out.
“I’ll take care of it,” Drew frowned. His head was a mess right now. He needed to go to the hospital and do something to distract himself, or he would do something very stupid soon.
Drew wasn’t in a good mood heading to his car.

Today was the first day in school. After this semester, Candace and Cody would get into elementary school. Linford and Cristelle sent the babies to their school early this morning.
When the family of four walked into the school building, Peter welcomed them in person.
“Cody! Candace! You guys are so early. You both got taller as well.”
“Good morning, Sir,” Cody was quite polite.
“Good morning, Sir. It’s good to see you again.” Candace mirrored her brother. The girl craned her neck and looked into the classroom a bit, “Why are you here alone, Sir? Where’s Joe?”
“Joe can’t come to work this semester. I’m gonna be the only teacher running this class,” Peter explained, smiling.
Candace nodded.
Soon, Amy and Thomas arrived. Candace was thrilled as she saw her little friends. She opened her bag and started to share her snacks with Amy and Thomas.
