Cristelle wiped her cheeks with the back of her hand. She didn’t want to look miserable before this woman.
“Cristelle, what do you say? Do you wanna talk?” Lana had the gall to turn to face Cristelle.
Mr. Weston thought the whole thing through. He would never be able to say anything harsh to make Cristelle follow Franco’s plan. But Lana probably could force Cristelle to make up her mind.
He thus decided to let them talk. The old man walked out of the room quietly, leaving some space for the two people.
“You want me to leave. So you can marry Linford, right?” Cristelle asked calmly.
Lana put a hand on her belly, “Yeah. I love him. I have loved him since we were kids. Now that I’m pregnant with his child, we must be together.”
But I also have babies with him. That sentence almost rolled off Cristelle’s tongue instinctively. But she managed to control herself.
That man betrayed her. Why should she still cling to him? It was humiliating.
Lana sighed, “I know how you feel, Cristelle. I really do. But Linford is one and only. I will never share him with another woman. Besides, you also know what is happening right now. What should I do to make you leave, Cristelle? Just tell me. Anything you want. I swear that I will get you anything you want as long as you will leave.”
Cristelle had imagined things like this before. She had even got backup plans for this. She just didn’t expect it to really happen.
Her heart was veined and closed for this. She had never felt this way for any men after Diego for a while. It felt even worse than the last time when Diego betrayed her and married Pamela.
But she knew she had to stay calm for her babies.
Cristelle cleared her throat, “I only want my babies.”
“I knew you would never give up on them. I can help you. But you must promise me that you will never come back with the babies,” Lana calmly mentioned.
Cristelle smiled coldly,” How should I know if you’re telling the truth or not? What if you want to use this chance to do something vicious to my babies? They’re still so little. If you send someone to frame them on our way out, I won’t be able to do anything.”
“Linford will hate me for the rest of my life if I dare to hurt them. I won’t be stupid enough to do anything like that,” Lana promised, “I just want to be with Linford. I also don’t want the babies to stay in between. That’s why I want to help you.”
Cristelle fully understood Lana’s intention right now. But she didn’t want to trust her. If she were to trust someone, she’d rather trust Franco and Mr. Weston. At least they only thought about the best for the babies.
Besides, Claire was still out there trying to protect the babies. She would never put anyone she loved at risk. “I don’t think I need your help, Lana,” Cristelle hissed.
“Why? You don’t want to bring the babies with you when you leave?” Lana asked confusingly.
Cristelle shook her head slowly, “No. I want to bring them with me. But I won’t trust you. Not with your help!”
Lana narrowed her eyes dangerously, “You won’t find a second person who would like to help you as much as I do, Cristelle.”
“Maybe,” Cristelle turned away.
But she’d rather trust the Bradley family on this issue. At least they were Cody and Candace’s family. Linford was probably a cheater, but he would never hurt his children.
Lana hated the babies’ guts. She saw them as obstacles in her way to becoming Mrs. Bradley. She would use any opportunity she could find to get rid of them.
Lana’s red lips curled up into a cruel smile, her voice as gentle as always, “Do you really think the babies will be safe if you leave them with Pop? To be honest with you, Pop’s not as healthy as before. I don’t think he will have that much energy to keep an eye on the babies all the time. I can easily find my opportunity if I want to do whatever I want to do to them. Take my pregnancy as an example. Did any of them find out how I got pregnant yet?”
Cristelle’s heart sank horribly into her chest as she heard that.
“Lana, you NEED to leave now,” Cristelle clenched her teeth.
“Fine,” Lana stood up from the couch gracefully, nodding at Cristelle as she smiled, “Enjoy rotting in this shithole, Cristelle.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Weston was calling Franco into the study room.
“Lana just came. She came to visit Cristelle.”
“What?” Franco got a bit nervous. “How did she find that place? How is Cristelle now?”
“Cristelle still refuses to leave without the babies,” Mr. Weston reported.
Franco went silent for a while, “She will get over it.”
After hanging up the phone, Franco turned to face Jack, “Jack, would you mind transferring Cristelle to another location? Maybe in the army?”
Jack was curious, “Why? All of a sudden.”
“Lana just went there. I don’t think that place is safe for Cristelle anymore. I don’t care what other people think, but the babies still need their mother.”
Jack nodded, “Of course, sir.”
Jack went to Mr. Weston’s place instantly after hearing Franco’s order.
Cristelle opened the door after hearing the knock, “Miss Friesley, Pop just sent me here to take you to another place. This place is not safe for you anymore.”
Cristelle didn’t move as she stared Jack in the eyes, “Jack, did Pop send you here? Can I see the babies? I only want to see the babies.”
Jack shook his head heavily, “I’m sorry, Miss. But I can’t do that. Please come with me. The longer you stay here, the more dangerous it will be for everyone.”
Lana just came here, and they couldn’t wait to send her to another place.
Franco really wanted to protect her. And Cristelle also could tell the old man didn’t trust Lana at all.
Cristelle had no choice. She could only follow Jack and leave the place.
The only thing she cared about was her babies. She knew she could only protect them by trusting the Bradley family entirely. “Cristelle, don’t be sad. And please don’t blame sir Franco for making such drastic moves. He doesn’t have a choice.”
