Chapter 250: How Pathetic

“Can I call you Cristelle, though? I’ll just call you Cristelle. I really want to see Candace and Cody. I’ve heard so much about them. And I prepared a lot of gifts for them. Can I go with you guys later so I can see them?” Lana whined.
Cristelle thought for a while and shook her head hard, “I’m sorry, Lana. But the babies are pretty introverted. They don’t see strangers that often. We would usually tell them if they needed to meet new people the next day. Or they won’t feel offended.
Lana seemed disappointed, but she soon sounded energized again, “Well then. I guess I can only visit them the other day. But it would help if you made a promise to me. You must let me see them next time.”
Cristelle nodded rigidly, “Of course.”
“Stop wasting your time here. Have you even finished the chart of the last quarter?”
Linford snapped.
Lana stuck her tongue out, “Nope.”
“Go back and do your job, Lana,” Linford put a hand on Cristelle’s back and took her into the car.
Before Lana could say something, the car just drove away.
Lana stood there for a while, feeling lost, with tears in her wide green eyes.

“Lana’s working in the company now,” Cristelle suddenly asked.
Linford had both of his hands on the steering wheel, “Yep. She’s the new Alfred now.”
“Oh.”
Poor girl. Cristelle thought.
Linford cast a glance at Cristelle, “I’ve treated her as a little sister. She’s the youngest daughter of the White, and she’s much younger than me. That girl seems noisy, but she’s not a bad person.”
And Clyde liked her a lot when he was still alive. Linford thought in silence.
Cristelle nodded, not letting out much.
Linford frowned. Was she not even jealous in the slightest?
When the family of four went back home, the dinner was ready. They enjoyed the meal before going to bed.
The next morning, after sending the babies to school, Cristelle went to the airport directly and went to Diego’s city.
She needed to end the contract as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, after knowing Cristelle’s schedule today, Linford also took his private jet and followed her secretly.
“Linford, why are we leaving the city today?” Lana asked as she reclined on the sofa in the jet.
Linford was reading his newspaper, his voice cold and detached, “We’ve got parachutes tucked under the city. Use one if you don’t wanna go.”
Lana rolled her eyes and threw herself back into the seat.
This man was a demon!

Cristelle’s plane landed at the airport soon after. She went to Diego’s company directly. She took the elevator and went to the 10th floor. Before she could enter Diego’s office, someone suddenly blocked her way.
Pamela was standing before her with her hands on her hip, her belly swollen, “What the heck are you doing here again, whore? Are you here to seduce my husband again? Guards! Kick this whore out of my company!” Pamela was so furious. She wanted to eat Cristelle alive if she could.
The guards exchanged a look, knowing this woman was Mrs. Bradley. No one dared to touch her.
Cristelle cast a look at Pamela’s belly, “I don’t have time for any drama, Pamela. Where’s Diego? I need to see him.”
“I knew you were here for him! You’re such a slut! Why can’t you just get off my face and be gone already?! Diego and I are living a happy life now. You just couldn’t give us a break, could you?” Pamela screamed like a mad woman.
Cristelle smiled coldly, “Your happy life is based on the ruins of the Friesley family. We both know it. Your so-called husband is also stolen from your best friend. Pamela, you didn’t decently earn anything. Stop pretending that you’re the victim. It’s disgusting.”
“Guards! Guards! Are you all dead?! Get this bitch out of the building! Now!” Pamela pointed one finger at Cristelle, shrilling like a pig.
Maria showed up immediately as she heard her daughter’s voice. She took a step back as she saw Cristelle’s face.
“It’s been a while, Mrs. Lim,” Cristelle smiled.
“Cristelle. Wha-what are you doing here?” Maria stuttered before she turned to the group of guards, “Leave now. Leave us alone.”
The corridor was cleared. Maria helped her daughter walk, “Come on, baby. You need to sit.”
Pamela didn’t want to, “I’m not leaving, Mom. She should leave! Kick her out!”
Maria knew how stubborn Pamela was. She thus let her stay eventually.
“Why are you here, Cristelle?” Maria asked calmly, “We don’t have much time for you.”
Cristelle smiled, “I also don’t want to see you guys. I’m just here to see Diego.”
“It won’t happen!” Pamela hissed as she grabbed a cup from the table and threw it at Cristelle,
Cristelle dodged.
“Pamela!” Maria screamed, “Stop this!”
Cristelle was Linford Bradley’s woman right now. If she got hurt in this place, the Lim family would definitely be the next Barnett.
“She said she’s here to see Diego! Didn’t you hear what this whore just said?!” Pamela broke down. She wanted to tear Cristelle into pieces.
Cristelle took a cup of tea nearby and took a sip, “How pathetic.”
“I’m gonna fucking kill you!” Pamela was about to pounce at Cristelle, but her Mom stopped her.
Maria turned to glare at Cristelle, “She’s pregnant right now. Do you have to say these things to her?”
“And she can just throw things at me and insult me? Besides, if I really wanted to be with Diego, she wouldn’t be able to keep him with her by getting pregnant,” Cristelle smiled.
“GO TO HELL!” Pamela grabbed another cup and threw it at Cristelle’s face, but she missed her target again.
Diego happened to walk in at the moment. Pamela instantly cried as she saw her husband, “Diego… My belly hurts so much. This bitch came to bully me. My bully hurts me so much.”
Maria checked out on her daughter immediately, “Do we need to go to the hospital, sweetie?”
Diego just stood there in a daze as he stared at Cristelle.
“JAN!!” Pamela screamed as tears streaked down her face.
Diego went to her immediately, “Are you feeling better now? I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“Okay,” Pamela rested her head against Diego’s chest limply, casting Cristelle a smug look.
