Enzo showed up on the beach. The attackers were pouring gasoline. The leader raised his hand as he saw Enzo. The other attackers thus stopped.
“You guys only want me, right? If you want my life, just take it,” Enzo put the gun down. A couple of attackers dashed forward and pinned him against the sand immediately.
All the attackers were wearing grey uniforms, and they were wearing the same white masks. All of them were strong and ruthless.
One of them kicked Enzo’s stomach, as he fell over. It was so painful that Enzo almost vomited a mouthful of blood.
The leader of the attackers laughed. He crouched down before Enzo, one hand playing with a sharp knife, “Get the kid.”
Two of his followers went to the forest, holding guns.
Enzo’s heart thudded.
Their target was Cody!
“I thought you wanted me.” Enzo spat out a mouthful of sand, trying to figure out who hired these people.
The leader laughed, “There is a huge bounty on your head, Enzo Bradley. I’ll take it as well. So, you don’t need to worry.”
“Who hired you?” Enzo hissed, “You’ve got us anyway. At least tell me who hired you to murder my nephew and me!”
“I can only tell you that our client didn’t want to kill you. And you don’t need to know the rest,” the leader laughed coldly, and then, he raised his knife.
And then, a huge boom in the forest brought the leader to a stop.
“That motherfucker buried bombs! It’s a fucking trap!” The two attackers yelled from a distance.
The leader’s eyes went red, calling the other members of his team, “Keep looking!” And then, he pulled Enzo’s hair, forcing him to look up into his eyes, “Do you think you can escape using your little tricks? I’ll cut your head off.”
However, before he could raise the knife in his hand, a bullet broke the air and sank into his forehead.
The leader fell backward with his eyes wide open.
The other three attackers left on the spot went dumbfounded. Before they could make any moves, more bullets flew over, bringing them all down.
Jacob was the first one who dashed toward Enzo, “Sir, are you alright?”
“Those people are trying to catch Cody. Cody’s alone in the forest. Go get him, now!” Enzo grabbed the gun from the sand and dashed toward the forest.
Jacob brought his men and followed.

Cody was holding the dagger in his hand, dark eyes looking around nervously. When he heard footfalls from a distance, his heart started to race wildly. Taking his hat off and hanging it on the branch above him, the boy sneaked away and ran off.
However, the black barrel of a gun suddenly poked out of the bush before him, making him stop.
“I finally found you! You little shit!”
RUMBLE!
A bolt of lightning lit up the sky. Heavy rain fell. The attacker cursed, being distracted by the huge sound.
At this moment, Linford suddenly showed up and took the attacker’s gun. Jacob was about to shoot that person. But Linford stopped him timely, “We need a witness.”
Linford panted heavily as he took his coat off, covering Cody’s head so the rain wouldn’t get him, “Are you okay, son?”
Cody threw the knife away and shrugged.
“The rain is getting heavier. We need to leave now,” Enzo came up and urged them.
They thus took the only attacker on their boat and dashed back to the coast. The helicopter was following them above amid the thunderstorm.

“Great news!” Drew was so happy as he went back into Linford’s mansion, “Cody and Linford are coming back, and they are on their way to the camp right now. They still need to get some paraphernalia done. And they will be back after that.”
Franco was so excited, “Jack, get the car ready. I need to go see them right now.”
“Pop, just calm down, alright? They are all safe and unharmed. Jacob said it was just getting some formalities done before coming back. You will see them tomorrow morning,” Drew went forward and held the old man’s hand, “Just don’t go. They’re busy.”
But Franco couldn’t wait, “It’s okay. Really. I know tons of people in the army. Hurry up. I’m going right now.”
Cristelle also wanted to see Cody instantly. But she knew it was inappropriate to bring it up, so she held it back.
Mr. Weston was the one who stopped Franco, “Franco, are you out of your mind? You can’t use connections in the army to break the rules. I thought it was the thing you hated the most. What are you even thinking about? The kids are coming back. You should go prepare some nice food and rooms.”
Franco suddenly realized that his friend was absolutely right. He couldn’t do whatever he wanted and break the rules.
So he smiled, “Of course… Of course. We need to get Cody’s favorite food for him. Get the boy some crawfish. It’s his favorite.”
Cristelle was so happy that she started to sob. Once the tension was lifted, her tears just came out, “Cody must also want some pizza. I’ll go make him some later.”
Lily quickly added, “I’ll help you in the kitchen, Mrs. Bradley.”
“Me!” Candace held her chubby hands up, “Me too! Mrs. Bradley!”
Cody was finally coming back. She missed him so much!

When Cody woke up the following day, Linford cut his hair and got him some new clothes. Then, they both got in the car and went home happily.
Cody missed his Mom and sister so much.
“Where are we going? We’re not driving toward the apartment,” Cody frowned as he turned to look at Linford, who was driving intently.
“Your Mom and sister are living in my place now,” Linford shrugged.
“Why would they go there? Did you play any dirty tricks to get them there when I was away?” The boy arched an eyebrow.
When was he away? Linford rolled his eyes.
He would still do that even if he were still with them.
“Oh, so how are you gonna change their idea later? I can’t wait to see,” Linford made a face, deliberately pissing his son off.
Cody’s face went furiously red, turning away and looking out of the window angrily.
