The police officers who’d been gatekeeping the ward the whole time exchanged a look. Did that old woman just say that in front of the police? She was quite bold.
Diego shot his Mom a stern look. Mrs. Barnett shut up immediately.
Diego was not that stupid. Of course, he wouldn’t threaten Conner before Drew. He steadied his breath before telling Mrs. Barnett, “Mom, could you go back now? I’ll handle the rest of the things.”
“But how are you gonna handle this? Honey, I just want to stay and help you to…”
“CAN YOU?!” Diego suddenly shouted, cutting his mother’s words. The whole corridor fell silent.
Drew just stood there with his arms folded and watched them. He only realized Linford’s plan now.
So, his best friend decided to use Diego against Jasper? That was pretty smart, letting the dogs bite each other.

Diego kicked the studio door open, startling everyone in the office.
Jasper looked up and turned to his employees, his tone as calm and polite as usual, “You guys take a break now. Don’t worry.”
His assistant seemed a bit nervous, “Do you want me to stay, sir?”
“It’s okay. You should leave as well,” Jasper smiled. He didn’t even care. After everyone left, he closed all the windows and the door before he turned to face Diego, “Diego, listen…”
Before Jasper could finish the sentence, Diego sent his fist directly to his face, breaking his nose.
Jasper covered his nose with one hand, stumbling back a bit before suddenly kicking Diego in the stomach out of the blue.
Diego clasped his stomach in pain. And then he lurched forward, trying to hit Jasper again. But Jasper just grabbed his fist calmly, “If you want it bloody, Diego, my security guards can also join us.”
Diego grabbed his collar. His eyes were bloodshot, “Why did you have to use Pamela?!”
“I don’t even know what you’re talking about. What happened to the poor Pamela?” Jasper couldn’t hide that smug smile on his face at this point.
The hidden message of that smile was, yes, I used your stupid bitch wife. What are you gonna do?
“I’ll fucking kill you! You son of a bitch!” Diego bellowed.
Jasper dodged and pushed him away, “Don’t blame other people when your wife is a dumbass. How did I use her if you insisted that I was also a part of the skit? Do you even have any evidence?”
“You must have told her something! Or why would she ever do something so fucking stupid?” Diego stumbled and steadied himself again, “I didn’t expect you to be such a piece of shit, Jasper! It must be quite difficult for you to pretend for so long!”
“I’m fucking tired of your shit, Diego! You stole my Cristelle, and you still have the gut to call me a piece of shit?! I don’t give a fuck. I just want to know if your dying company would die even more this time! Hahahaha!” Jasper laughed joyfully, “Soon, you will be living in the dumpster as you should be. I’ll hold a party to celebrate your fall! You stupid ass!”
“Don’t feel too good about yourself right now! You won’t get Cristelle anyway. No matter how hard you try, you will never beat Linford Bradley!” Diego shouted.
A dark look flashed across Jasper’s face shortly, but he soon hid it with a bright smile, “Guess we’ll need to find out, right? Oh, wait… You don’t even have a chance to see how it ends. As for Cristelle… If she gets to know that your wife almost killed her daughter, guess what she will think of you? Her babies are her life. I still have a chance. But you’re dead for her, forever.”
“Don’t get too proud, you piece of shit! Do you really think your plan was flawless? Guess how I found out everything? Lemme tell you the unexpected twist; since I found out the truth, Linford Bradley had also figured this out earlier than you think. He probably will make you pay ten folds worse! You’ll end up more miserable than me! We will see!” With that, Diego stormed out of the office instantly.
Now, he was going to find that stupid woman. And he would drag Jasper down with him no matter what!
Jasper fell silent after hearing Diego’s words. Linford probably had noticed his plan if what he had just said was true.
Would he tell Cristelle about this?
No… Cristelle wouldn’t believe him anyway.
Jasper knew he was the one who had Cristelle’s trust.
However, just to make sure, Jasper still called Cristelle’s number.
But she didn’t pick up!
What was wrong? Cristelle always picked up his calls.
Why? Something had changed… He could sense it. Did Cristelle start to be suspicious?
No… She was such a sweet woman. She always trusted him.
Jasper sat in his chair and thought for a long while. Now that Cristelle and the babies had moved into Linford’s mansion, he and Cristelle would only drift apart as the days went by. He must find a way to get close to her.
What should he do to make Cristelle leave Linford?
There was still one answer. He should find a way to make the babies disappear.
A mother who lost her babies was the most vulnerable. And that would make her unfixable.
Linford would probably leave her when the bond between them was gone. And he would finally have a chance.
He would take advantage of her vulnerability and make her completely his.
Candace had been protected by the Bradley security team completely after the incident. He wouldn’t stand a chance. But the boy…
If the boy disappeared, the effect would be the same.
A beautiful image appeared in Jasper’s head. In that image, he was holding his sweet and shivering Cristelle in his arms, kissing her hair, and telling her repeatedly that everything would be alright.
He was the only one she could lean on. And she couldn’t live without his protection.
The image was so beautiful that it brought a smile to Jasper’s face.
Jasper would make the scenario come true at any cost.
