“Why does this bitch keep doing this to me?” Zoe threw the phone away and summoned her maid.
Frank told Yanni through the email that they’d sent the new antivenom. Yanni told the good news to Linford instantly, “Cristelle’s saved. The new antivenom is on the road now.”
Linford remained calm and called his big brother, asking him to send a couple of his soldiers to safe keep the antivenom, just in case some people would have bad intentions.
Yanni let out a breath, “You’re always so considerate, man.”
Linford hung up the phone and put a hand on Yanni’s shoulder, “I need to be careful. Too many people are jealous of her. But thank you so much for taking care of her and saving her life.”
“What are you talking about, bro? You don’t need to thank me. You know I’ll do anything to help you,” Yanni smiled, “Let’s go. It’s time to check out the babies. They have been staying here for days.”

Fritzi went to the toilet at that moment, leaving only Cody and Candace out of the ICU.
A nurse walked past nervously. She didn’t even notice the babies when she pushed open the door of the ICU.
“Wait!” Cody suddenly called her attention, “What are you going to do?”
The nurse went frozen, “I’m doing an injection for the patient.”
“What injection?” Cody snapped back suspiciously.
“It’s good for her. You won’t understand. You’re just a kid,” the nurse was quite impatient, walking into the room as if she was in a hurry.
“Cody? What’s wrong?” Linford and Yanni turned around the corner to see what was happening.
Cody pointed at the nurse, “This lady said she was gonna do an injection for Mom. But she refused to tell me what the injection was.”
Linford’s face fell as he dashed forward.
The nurse panicked as she bolted down the corridor.
“Stop!” Yanni followed.
Meanwhile, Linford pulled both of his babies in his arms, “Tell Alfred to get her.”
Yanni made a phone call. And soon, Bradley guards filled the whole hospital.

After taking care of everything, Yanni walked over, “How did you know she’s a bad person?”
Cody huffed, “Candace and I are cute. Any doctors or nurses who walked past would usually play with us a bit before they got in the room. But she didn’t even cast us a look. I knew she was up for no good.”
Cody was right! Candace nodded. She agreed with Cody so much. Cody was so smart. He even could identify who was the bad guy. Yanni and Linford exchanged a look and smiled. This boy was so vigilant at such a young age. He would make a great soldier in the future.

Cristelle was getting even weaker the next day. But the new antivenom finally arrived directly from Frank’s lab.
Clara and Tanya knew that the nurse had failed again. They thus sent some people to ruin the antivenom. But the antivenom had been guarded by countless guards when it got off the plane. They didn’t even have any chance to approach it.
Was there nothing they could do?
Clara was so pissed off that she wanted to claw someone’s eye out. She tried to approach the babies, but the guard wouldn’t even let her step into the hospital. She could only pray viciously that Cristelle could suddenly die.

Cristelle woke up on Sunday night. She’d been in a coma for a week. Linford’s heart finally felt relieved, and the lump in his throat was totally gone. He held Cristelle’s smaller hand in his big hand, looking at her in relief. Cristelle opened her eyes slowly and saw her son and daughter and the man who was holding them right now.
“Mom!” Cody choked on his tears.
Candace cried. She had been blaming herself for days. Seeing her Mom waking up made her so happy.
“Mom!” Candace also cried out excitedly.
Candace could talk now!
Cristelle’s eyes reddened. She wanted to hold her babies in her arms, but her body was linked by tubes and other machines. Linford and Cody both heard Candace’s voice. They looked at the little girl in surprise. On the other hand, Candace didn’t even realize that she had just talked, still wiping tears off her cheeks with the back of her hand.
Linford signed, “It’s okay, honey. Mommy’s safe now.”
And then, he looked up and squeezed Cristelle’s hand, “Get better soon, Cristelle. The babies missed you so much.”
Cristelle noticed how gaunt he looked right now. He seemed like he hadn’t slept for days.
She blinked, too weak to say anything, and smiled at him.
Cristelle was sent to the private room three days later. All the tubes and medical equipment were entirely removed all over her body. She felt she had regained most of her strength back.
But her heart had been seriously damaged. So from now on, she couldn’t get too emotionally excited, or she would probably have a heart attack.
The babies followed when they transferred Cristelle. Cody went to ask the doctor, “My Mom is completely safe now, right?”
The doctor ruffled the boy’s hair, smiling, “She’s completely safe now. She’s started to recover now.”
“Thank you. Candace, thank the doctor,” Cody told his sister. Candace did a small courtesy. All the doctors and nurses laughed.
When everyone had left, Cody patted his sister’s chubby hand, “Candace, wait for me for a while. I need to go to the bathroom.”
Candace nodded, holding Cristelle’s hand tightly.
Cody went to the bathroom alone. And then, after making sure the stall door was locked, he started to cry. His whole body was shaking. He cried even worse than Candace.
No one knew how scared he was when he thought that his Mom probably could never wake up. It scared the hell out of him.

When Yanni came to take care of Candace, Linford went to find his son. He could hear Cody’s cry outside the stall. He wanted to get in and gave Cody a hug, but he suppressed the urge to do it. Cody was a proud boy. If he didn’t want people to see his weak side, he’d better stay out of this.
Besides, Linford could see how suppressed he had been for the last couple of days. It was time for him to let it all out.
