Cristelle’s face was as red as a tomato as she flipped the light switch.
Linford was in a good mood as he went back to his bedroom.
He pinched Cody’s little cheek. The boy frowned, but he didn’t wake up. Linford pulled his baby boy and baby girl in his arms, falling asleep with a smile on his face.

It was almost 9 when Cristelle opened her eyes the next morning. The sun shone brightly. Her small apartment was saturated with lovely sunlight early Sunday.
The babies were brought back to her apartment after cleaning up.
Candace climbed into the bed, resting her little head on her arm.
She wanted to have pasta. The one looked like butterflies.
“I thought we just had butterfly pasta a couple of days ago?” Cristelle was curious.
Candace shook her head, telling her that she wanted to have it anyway. Cristelle cast a weird glance at Linford.
Linford looked pretty calm as he suggested, “I think we should go get some groceries.”
Cristelle ignored him and went to the kitchen. When she opened the refrigerator, she couldn’t find any Farfalle.
She could only bring the babies to the grocery nearby. But Linford insisted on driving them to the largest grocery store in the city.
Cristelle wondered what his purpose was for doing that. Linford took the babies to the garment section directly. Candace was happy about getting a new dress. Cody didn’t show as much cheerfulness as his sister.
“Candace, I thought we were gonna have to buy butterfly pasta,” Cristelle tried to distract the girl.
Linford pulled Cristelle in his strong arms from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder,
“Just let her have fun. It’s still quite early right now.”
“Mr. Bradley, you’re doing this again!” Cristelle pulled away and whipped around, looking a bit pissed off as she faced the handsome man, “I thought we agreed not to cross the line!”
Cross the line?
Linford’s brow furrowed, “You’re my babies’ mom. How am I crossing the line with you?”
Cristelle went blush, “You can’t blur the line that way.”
“Besides,” Linford took a step forward, “We’ve seen and done much worse. I don’t think there’s a line to be crossed. If you’re not prepared for intimacy, I can wait. But you can’t just draw a line to restrict me from pampering my children. It doesn’t make any sense.”
Wait…
He was gonna wait for what?
Before Cristelle could figure it out, Linford had already taken Candace to the changing room to try on her new dress. Cody was also scrutinizing a row of boy garments with a serious look on his face.
No one would even help her. Cristelle was so pissed off that she wanted to yell.
Clara saw Cristelle in the grocery store with her babies. She didn’t see Linford, so she thought that he didn’t come with her.
It seemed like Cristelle came here on Sunday for groceries. Clara thought for a while and nudged at her bestie, “Zoe, look.
“Geez, why is that slut here? Wait here, Clara. I’m gonna have a little conversation with her,” Zoe frowned, walking in Cristelle’s direction in her heels.
“Wait!” Clara pulled her back, “Don’t take it too far, Zoe.”
Zoe patted the back of her hand, “Don’t worry, hon. I know how to handle bitches like that. I won’t get you involved.”
Clara finally let her go.
Zoe walked toward the garment section, bumping Cristelle’s arm a bit on purpose. When Cristelle turned toward her confusingly, she was smiling, “Geez, Cristelle? You’re also here? What a lovely coincidence.”
Cristelle only felt weird, “Excuse me. Who are you? Do we know each other?”
And why did she look so hostile?
Zoe smiled, her red lips stretching, “You don’t know me? But I do know you. You’re that famous social climber, aren’t you? You used your babies to become Mrs. Bradley. Everyone in this city knows what you’ve done for money and fame. Everyone knows that you’re a calculating bitch.”
Was this woman in love with Linford Bradley?
That was Cristelle’s first reaction after hearing that. She forced herself to calm down as she regarded the girl before her.
She looked young and was clad in luxurious brands. The way she talked was imperious. She could be from a wealthy family. Sugar babies didn’t have this kind of air about them.
“I’ve never used my babies to do anything. If you’re miserably in love with that man, you can take him back. I’m not interested in being Mrs. Bradley.”
Cristelle had seen enough women like this. They wouldn’t dare to scold their men, so they came to seek trouble for other women. She didn’t even want to waste her time with her.
“This is just bullshit. If you don’t want anything from the Bradley family, why did you come to visit them with your babies?” Zoe’s voice was sharp and mocking, “Don’t pretend to be innocent, whore. You said you’re not interested in being Mrs. Linford, but you still tried to keep him with you using the babies? If you didn’t climb on his bed and get yourself pregnant with those little bastards, you wouldn’t even be able to buy those clothes for yourself. You wouldn’t even dare to think about it with your broken ass.”
This bitch was here to pick up a fight.
“Where did you hear all this?” Cristelle snapped at her coldly.
Zoe instantly laughed, “I don’t need to hear it from anyone. Your glorious history has been covered on the front page of local media. They’ve investigated you, Cristelle. Everyone in this city knew your true face, no matter how innocent you tried to make yourself appear. Stop saying that you’re not interested in Linford. You’re just a cunning whore. Linford will see your true color one day. And by then, he was gonna be so done with you.” Other customers also noticed the drama. Some of them even recognized Cristelle. They were all interested in rumors of big houses. Murmured conversations erupted among the crowd. Some said Cristelle was a gold digger. Some said Linford had fallen for her hard. Some even said that Cristelle was so good in bed that Linford couldn’t leave her.
Some said Cristelle used black magic to enchant Mr. Bradley.
