Linford noticed the tenderness in her eyes. When the dinner was over, he helped her clean the dishes, whispering with a gentle voice to her, “Cristelle, I’ll never leave the babies behind. I’ll always be there whenever they need me.”
Cristelle cast him a glance, nodding silently.
Her head was still a mess when she took a shower and slept.
That night, Cody sneaked out of his room when he made sure that Cristelle had fallen asleep. He grabbed his laptop and went to the living room, searching the dating websites quickly.
He needed to find a husband for his Mom.
And that man needed to be reliable and honest.
Cody hovered over those photos on the dating websites. Most of these men didn’t meet his standards. They were all too flashy. A good man should be more lowkey.
Cody searched for a while and suddenly found a piece of news about a huge party for single men and women in this city that would be held this weekend. His eyes widened. This one seemed legit.
His Mom could definitely meet more men at the party.
Cody signed his Mom in immediately.
Cristelle was asleep, holding her daughter in her arms, unaware of her new weekend plan at all.

Darwin went to work early the following day.
Clara and Tanya were having breakfast. Clara was sipping from her orange juice. “Someone told me that Tiffany was fired. So they changed to a new teacher.”
Tanya’s fork stopped in her hand, “Why is that?”
They had tried so hard to make Tiffany their eyes and ears. How could they fire her?
Clara shook her head, pretending to be innocent, “I don’t even know. They said the school fired her because she was not a diligent teacher.”
“Diligent? It’s just a kindergarten. It’s not a college. Linford must be the one who did it,” Tanya frowned, “Why is he still so alert around me after so many years?”
Clara lowered her gaze, “It didn’t have to be Linford. Must someone else do it!”
Tanya pulled a face, “He’s the only one who can do it. That Cristelle wouldn’t be able to do that. I’ve learned everything about that girl. She’s just a small figure from a remote city. Linford went there to have fun a couple of years ago. She accidentally got pregnant. That was why she had the babies.”
Clara had also gone to research Cristelle’s past, and she almost got the same result.
Was that woman really that simple?
Clara tried to calm down, “Tanya, I just feel bad for you. Franco will value them even more now that the babies have returned. I’m afraid even Darwin won’t treat you the same as before.”
She acted like she was concerned about Tanya’s well-being, in fact, she wanted to create trouble for her.
Tanya had also been thinking about the same thing. Her situation in this house had been rather awkward. She might look like a rich lady in her appearance, but only she knew what kind of life she was living.
But being envied by other people had always been her purpose. Tanya knew she couldn’t complain too much.
Tanya sighed, “I wouldn’t have to live like this if I also had my babies.” She had married into the house for so many years, but she just couldn’t get pregnant.
Clara had been pregnant when she got married, but she had failed to keep the baby. Her husband had been away for so many years. If she wanted to get pregnant again, she had to get a divorce first. But the Bradley wealth was too tempting to resist. Besides, if she left, she would never be able to see Linford again.
Clara’s eyes went red, “You’re right, Tanya. But you at least still have a chance, unlike me.”
Tanya sighed, “I didn’t make it after so many attempts. I don’t think it’s that easy.”
Clara encouraged her, “You will get one eventually if you don’t give up. But Cristelle, she’s such a pain in the ass. We must find a way to stop her.”
Tanya gave her a look, knowing Clara’s concern. They must find a way to get rid of that woman. She’s a major threat to them!

Saturday came quite fast. The babies didn’t need to go to school today. They had been sleeping all morning, not having any breakfast. Cristelle just let them sleep, knowing they need it.
She grabbed her design book and sat down in the living room, working and polishing her design.
Cody didn’t open his eyes until 9 in the morning. He screamed instantly as he saw the time.
“No! We’re gonna be late!”
Candace was startled by her brother, eyes snapping open.
Cody dragged her sister off the bed, “Mom! Mom!”
Cristelle heard the babies, putting down her note instantly as she went to check on them.
“Mom, can we go to the central park today? Cody begged her.
Candace’s eyes widened as she heard her brother’s suggestion. She also wanted to go out and play.
Cristelle wanted to work, but the babies seemed eager. So she could only agree.
At this moment, however, Linford suddenly walked in.
Candace sat on her dad’s lap as he sat on the couch, “Where are you guys going?”
Cody frowned, feeling a bit annoyed. Why did this guy have to follow them everywhere?
“We’re going to the central park,” Cristelle poured two glasses of milk and put them on the table.
Linford nodded. Going to the park sounded good.
Cody didn’t eat much breakfast because he was not in the mood. Finally, he ran back into his room and took out a massive backpack, “I’m ready to go.”
Linford’s eyes narrowed, “What are those things?”
Cody huffed, “It’s my privacy. You can’t interfere with things I brought.”
Linford grabbed him by the scruff, “I’m your dad. I have every right to interfere.”
Cody struggled, “Mom! He hit me! Call 911!”
Cristelle dashed out of the kitchen. Linford rolled his eyes and let the boy go, murmuring resentfully, “Bunch of bullies.”
The boy went to hold Cristelle’s hand, “Mom, I’m ready. Let’s go.”
The family of four went downstairs. Candace was holding a huge bag of snacks, checking and rechecking until she made sure she had all her favorites with her. After that, she reclined in Linford’s arms and refused to move anymore.
