Chapter 193
I’m going to return the First Aid box. You should rest. If you need anything, just call me” Alfred said and with that, he carried the first aid box from the table and walked out of the room.
Daniel stared at Alfred as he walked out of the room, closing the door beside him. What if Alfred is right? Everything might happen for a reason.
Fate has its ways of doing things. Daniel sighed softly and stood up. He just needed to cool his head off before going to face the truth once and for all.
He walked inside the bathroom and cleaned himself up. He walked out of the bathroom to the wardrobe, picked one of Alfred’s clothes, lay on the bed, and drifted to sleep.

Alfred is seen outside the motel discussing with a business partner on the phone. And just then he ended the call when he was done talking.
Immediately after he ended the call, Lisa’s call came in.
“Alfred” Lisa called out as he answered the phone call.
“Hey, are you alright?” Alfred asked as he noticed Lisa was sounding tense.
“Yeah, I’m okay. You just left the hospital without letting me know you were going to leave. Who does that?” Lisa said and Alfred sighed softly.
“I’m so sorry. I had to attend something Important. I’m sorry, I could have told you I’m leaving ” Alfred said in response
“It’s alright. Mrs. Bella called me not quite long. Daniel knows about everything now. Mrs. Bella told him that she had left the house looking devastated after she told him the whole truth.
She said she was scared and she was worried he might hurt himself. She’s been trying to reach him since and he hasn’t been answering his phone calls. I tried calling him too but he’s not answering. Truth be told, I’m scared too and worried.
I was afraid he would react the same way. That’s why I didn’t tell him the truth all this time. I just hope he’s fine” Lisa said and sighed sadly.
“He’s going to be fine, Lisa. He just needs space and time. He had just found out a big secret about his true identity. He needs time to digest everything. He’s going to be fine, you shouldn’t worry much” Alfred said and Lisa nodded in response.
“Do you by any chance know where he is?”Lisa asked and Alfred kept quiet. As much as he would live to tell Lisa where Alfred is, he didn’t want to tell her because she was going to come to see him but Daniel just needs space. He hates the fact that he would have to lie to her now.
“No, I don’t but I believe he’s okay,” Alfred lied. He hated the fact that he was lying to
Lisa but right now he had no other Option. He knows if she ever finds out he had lied to her, she would be so mad at her.
“What about your mom?” Alfred asked, trying to skip the topic they were talking about.
“She is fine. She’s asleep. The doctor said she will be discharged maybe tomorrow or the next tomorrow. They just need to run some tests on her and observe her for now ” Lisa said as she stared at her mom who was asleep.
“She’s going to be fine alright. You can stay with her, I’ll send some clothes and food over there. I’ll then pick up the kids from school later” Alfred said and Lisa managed to smile.
“Thank you. That’s very thoughtful of you. I need to go now, the doctor is here now, I need to speak to him” Lisa said and with that, she ended the call. Alfred sighed softly.

“Doctor, how’s she?” Lisa asked the doctor as she added the call.
“She’s okay. We just need to run some few more tests then she can finally be discharged” The doctor said as she checked Mrs. Rebecca’s temperature. Then she wrote something on the file that was in her hands and with that the doctor walked out of the ward.
Lisa sighed tiredly. She just hopes he’s fine.
“Lisa” Mrs. Rebecca called and Lisa turned to her.
“Mom, are you alright? You are awake” Lisa said as she helped her mom sit up properly on the bed.
“Yes. What happened to Daniel? Is he okay?” Mrs. Rebecca asked worriedly.
“You…..” Lisa paused as she stared at her mom.
“I thought you were asleep. You were listening to my conversation over the phone ” Lisa said looking surprised. This means she hasn’t been asleep all this while. Well, she heard everything already so she should explain everything to her, she thought.
“Well, Daniel’s mom told Daniel some big secret. So he left the house and isn’t answering his phone. And uhm, Daniel’s mom is Mrs. Bella” Lisa said and Mrs. Rebecca opened her eyes shocked.
“Woah!! All this while Daniel was Bella’s son. Oh my goodness!! I had told her she was going to conceive and that there was still hope but she wouldn’t believe it at all. But sincerely I didn’t believe we would meet again after all these years” Mrs. Rebecca said, smiling.
Lisa managed to smile too. Her mom doesn’t know to whom she’s speaking.
“Mom, did I by any means have a twin?” Lisa asked and Mrs. Rebecca swallowed hard.
“Yes, but he died the day he was born, ” Mrs. Rebecca said as sadness swept through her. She just wished her son was still alive, he would have been so grown up like Lisa.
She remembered the nurse telling her that day that the other twin had died. It pained her so much.
“Mom, what if I tell you he never died and he’s still alive?” Lisa paused as she watched her mom’s reaction.
Mrs. Rebecca laughed. “That’s not possible. He died. I saw his dead body” Mrs. Rebecca said and Lisa sighed softly.
“Well, he’s alive, mom and he’s Daniel. Daniel is your son and my twin” Lisa said dropping the bombshell.
“What?? That’s not possible, that’s not true” Mrs. Rebecca said and just then the door to the ward burst open revealing Mrs. Bella.
