Chapter 172
She became numb instantly as she was in shock. The phone she had picked up from the ground just now fell from her hands hitting the ground.
“Mom!!!!” She managed to call as she stretched her hands to touch her. It was her. How come she had survived, Lisa questioned herself as she stared at the scar which was on her forehead.
That was the exact spot she was shot in and it had healed but the scar was still there. Oh my goodness, this is a dream, Lisa thought as she kept staring at her mom who was standing in front of her.
“Miss!! Are you alright?” she spoke, jolting Lisa outta her thoughts. Lisa regained herself and realized she was holding her and she had called her miss.
This means only one thing: she didn’t recognize her. No no!! It’s impossible. It’s impossible. It cannot be what she’s thinking. Is she having a lost memory or what? Lisa thought as tears gathered in her eyes.
“Miss, are you alright?” she asked and the tears Lisa’s been holding for a long she finally let go.
“Oh my God!! Miss why are you crying?” she asked and then her mom joined her lips together with Lisa doing the same.
“Mom, the nurse said he’s inward 008,” Freya said as she walked towards her mom then stared at Lisa whole tears were in her eyes.
Ward 008? That’s Daniel Ward, Lisa thought looking as confused as ever as she wiped the tears from her eyes the girl that just called her mom, mom who the hell is she? Lisa thought as confusion clouded her face.
“What about daisy? Where’s she?” her mom asked Freya
“I’m here mom” Lisa heard the voice and then she turned to her greatest surprise she had seen Daisy.
Lisa opened her eyes in shock.
“Daisy,” Lisa called out in shock and Daisy turned to Lisa looking as shocked as hell.
“Lisa” Daisy called out and her mom turned to her.
“Daisy, you know her?” Her mom asked and Daisy sighed softly.
“Yes, she’s a friend” Daisy smiled at her mom and then turned to Freya.
“You and mom should go to Daniel’s ward, I’ll join you guys shortly,” Daisy said to Freya and Freya nodded, holding her mom’s hands.
“Are you sure Daisy?” Her mom asked and Daisy nodded in response.
“This girl is a psychopath, she had broken her phone twice” Her mom whispered to Freya but it was loud enough for Daisy and Lisa to hear. She gave Lisa one more stare before walking away.
“Lisa” Daisy called as she walked towards Lisa and pulled her into a tight hug with tears streaming down her cheeks.
She pulled away from the hug as she and both Lisa stared at each other with tears in their eyes.
“Daisy, I…..” Lisa tried saying words but words weren’t coming out of her mouth as she was still in shock. She just couldn’t believe what she was seeing and she needed an explanation because she was so confused.
“Hey, I know you need an explanation the same way I do. You need to tell me what happened that night the same way I need to tell you what happened too. We’ve got a lot to talk about that’s why we need a place to sit and talk” Daisy said as she placed her hands on Lisa’s shoulder.
“There’s a restaurant outside the hospital we can talk there” Lisa managed to say and Daisy nodded in response. She held Lisa’s hands like the way they do when they were still kids and they both walked out of the hospital compound together.
Daisy and Lisa had been best friends since childhood. Lisa’s mom Rebecca, had a neighbor who had died leaving her only daughter behind and that was Daisy.
Daisy was just so little when her mom died and she had no father nor any family except her aunt who lives outside the country and wasn’t able to come after the death of Daisy’s parents.
Rebecca, Lisa’s mother, decided to take Daisy in. She took her in and treated her like she was her child. She took care of her like she was her own. She gave her and Lisa the same love and never acted like she loved one more than the other.
Most times she would wear Lisa and Daisy the same clothes and shoes and people almost thought they were twins because they were the same height then. Lisa and Daisy both grew up together like sisters and best friends. They both confided in each other and were always there for each other.
Daisy had gone to the airport the night Lisa and her mom were ambushed. Her aunt Maria and her little daughter Freya were in town and Daisy was the one to be picking them up from the airport.
After Daisy had picked them up from the airport, they had gone shopping before going home when they had gotten home they met the house looking so quiet and calm which was unusual and no one was inside.
They saw broken glass on the floor and the door was broken too when they came. They had checked Rebecca, Lisa’s mom’s room and no one was there then they decided to check Lisa’s room and there they met Rebecca lying unconscious on the ground in the pool of her blood and Lisa was nowhere to be found.
They had thought Rebecca was dead but then they found out she was still breathing and they rushed her to the hospital…

Meanwhile, Freya and Lisa’s mom are seen in Daniel’s ward.
Mrs. Rebecca sat close to Daniel as tears gathered in her eyes. She was so sad to see Daniel in that state. It broke her heart so much that she couldn’t hold herself from crying.
She placed her hands on Daniel’s hand and closed her eyes whispering “please son wake up” she cried and Freya moved towards her placing her hands on her shoulder.
Her mom didn’t know Daniel and she was crying like he was her son and she was even calling her son. Can’t she just address him by his name Daniel? weird!! Freya thought.
Just then, Mrs. Rebecca felt her hands gripping her fingers softly.
She opened her eyes and to her greatest surprise, she saw Daniel fully awake.
