Chapter 171
Lisa is seen standing inside Daniel’s ward staring at him with tears pouring out of her eyes non-stop.
She’s been standing there for a long time now. After Lisa had left the hospital bed she was on, she had gone straight to Daniel’s ward while Alfred had gone home. He said he needed to see the kids and get some work done.
Lisa had noticed he’s been acting so weird since last night, she just thought maybe because he hates hospitals that’s why he is acting weird.
After Lisa had come Mrs. Bella had told her to look after Daniel while she went home and met Nova. She had told Lisa she would be back.
Lisa sighed softly as she wiped the tears in her eyes and moved close to Daniel sitting beside him. She blames herself for what happened to him.
If she had just loved him the way he loved her, they would have both been happy together and he wouldn’t be on the sick bed. She just hates herself for what happened to him. She just hopes he recovers very fast.
She placed her hands on top of his while staring deep into his face. Even though he was unconscious, she could still see pain deep down. He was feeling so much pain, she could see it from his closed eyes.
She joined her lips together. She began to wonder where he had gone before the accident, maybe if she knew where she might be able to find out how the accident had happened.
Just then she heard her phone ring, it was a call from Dina. She stood up from beside Daniel and walked out of the ward before answering the phone call.
“Lisa,” She heard Dina’s voice from over the phone.
“Dina,” Lisa called out feeling so relieved to hear her voice. She was just looking for who to speak with just now because she was feeling so down.
“Lisa, how are you doing?” Dina asked, sounding so concerned and at the same time, she sounded so worried.
“I’m not fine Dina. You know why. Daniel is lying on the hospital bed unconscious and you expect me to be okay?” Lisa said and sniffed, tears dripping down her cheeks.
“Common Lisa, you should stop crying. Daniel is going to be fine” Dina said and Lisa nodded in response while she wiped her tears while walking outside the hospital.
“Alfred dropped by this morning and he had bought so many things for the kids. He’s spoiling these kids” Dina said and Lisa laughed
“He’s a great father Lisa. He cares a lot about them and you too” Dina said and Lisa sighed softly.
Just then she heard Isabella’s voice from the phone.
“Auntie, are you speaking with mommy?” Isabella asked
“Yes, sweetheart! You want to talk with her?” Dina asked and Isabella screamed yea making Lisa smile over the phone.
Dina smiled at Isabella and gave her the phone.
“Mommy!” Isabella’s little voice sounded from the phone and Lisa felt her heart leap in joy.
“Sweetheart” Lisa called and Isabella giggled.
“Mommy how are you? How is uncle Daniel?” Isabella asked
“I’m fine honey, your uncle Daniel is from me too honey. He’s getting better” Lisa said and Isabella smiled
“Daddy came over today and told us that uncle Daniel is going to be fine, that we should keep praying for him and we’ve been praying for him. Daddy also said you are sad because of uncle Daniel, please don’t be sad anymore, uncle Daniel is going to be fine” Isabella said and Lisa felt her heart melt instantly. She felt comforted a bit. Isabella doesn’t know her words had just lifted her.
“Thank you honey, I love you ” Lisa said I’m response
“I love you too mommy and I miss you” Isabella said.
“Common isa, go join the kids in the room now. I want to talk to mommy” Dina said and Isabella nodded and gave Dina back the phone before running away.
“Where are the rest of the kids?” Lisa asked
“Oh, they are in their room with Clara” Dina said and Lisa exhaled deeply.
“Daniel is going to be fine alright. The kids did a video for you to make you happy. I’ll send it to you now on whatsapp” Dina said and ended the call.
Lisa smiled as a message popped into her WhatsApp. She opened the message and clicked the video Dina had sent. It was a video of the quadruplets singing and their voices were so beautiful.
Lisa smiled as she watched it, while walking outside the hospital compound. She was so engrossed in what she was watching that she didn’t know someone was standing in front of her and mistakenly she collided with the woman standing in front of her and her phone fell from her hands to the ground.
“Oh shit!!” Lisa muttered as she stared at her phone which was lying on the ground broken. She bent to pick up her phone and suddenly the person she had hit mistakenly spoke, making her pause.
“I’m so sorry, miss. You should not walk when using your phone now it’s broken. I’m so sorry” the voice spoke and Lisa paused. The voice sounded so familiar that Lisa felt a cold shiver run down her spine as she heard the voice.
It was her voice, the voice she’s been dying to hear all these years or probably her ears are having fault that she had mistaken the voice.
She stood up and raised her head and to her surprise it was her. It was really her. She couldn’t believe her eyes. The woman she’s been dying to see all these years. The woman who had her back when she had nobody. She was standing right in front of her.
She became numb instantly as she was in shock. The phone she had picked from the ground just now fell from her hands hitting the ground.
“Mom!!!!” She managed to call
