Chapter 162
Daisy had closed from the bar and gone home straight. She closed quite early today thinking Daniel was still in their house. She just wanted to see him before he leaves.
She opened the door to their small but comfortable house and was welcomed by the sight of her mom and Freya sitting on the small couch watching the news like they usually do.
She stared around the room and didn’t find Daniel anywhere.
“Daisy ” her mom called out immediately after she saw her. She stood up from the couch she was sitting on and went to hug her.
“Mom, how are you ?” Daisy asked scrutinizing the whole area to see if she will get a glimpse of Daniel.
“I’m okay daisy. Have you called Daniel to know if he got home safe?” Her mom asked and Daisy raised her eyebrows.
“He’s left?” She asked
“Yes, he said he needed to attend to something urgent, ” her mom said and Daisy felt her heart break into pieces. She had thought maybe if she got home she would meet him and they would talk. He didn’t even stop by her hotel when he was leaving.
There’s no way she would be able to reach him either. She didn’t have his contact. she sighed sadly.
“Are you Alright Daisy?” Her mom asked when she noticed her face had turned sour immediately.
“I’m fine mom. You should rest alright, I’ll be in my room” Daisy said and with that, she walked past her mom to her room.
She closed the door behind her and sat on the bed. Tears slipped down her cheeks. With the way Daniel had acted towards her she thought he liked her but he didn’t. He just left like that after what they had together.
It pained her so much. She thought maybe he was different from other guys but he was just like every other man out there who sleeps with women and dumps them. She thought as more tears slipped down her cheeks.
Just then the door burst open revealing Freya. Daisy quickly wiped her tears.
“Mom has been acting weird since the so-called Daniel left. She’s been sad. She said she feels some kind of connection towards him like he’s his lost son. She thinks this is a movie or a novel, it’s real life, and she better stop assuming” Freya kept talking as she walked inside the room and sat on the bed beside Daisy.
She then turned to Daisy when she didn’t say a word and then noticed a tear in her eyes.
“Have you been crying?” Freya asked surprised.
“No, I’m fine, I’m just stressed,” Daisy said and was about to stand up but Freya held her by her hands.
“Don’t lie to me, Daisy. What happened? Why are you crying?” Freya asked and Daisy sat down.
“Is it because of him?” Freya asked and Daisy nodded knowing very well he was talking about Daniel. Tears slipped down Daisy’s cheeks.
“Oh my goodness!! Daisy, did you guys???” Frey paused and Daisy nodded.
“Oh shit!! What were you thinking? Why would you have sex with a stranger?” Freya asked and clicked her tongue in disappointment.
“We were both drunk. Everything happened so fast. I thought maybe he would at least see me before leaving but he didn’t ” Daisy said and Freya sighed.
“Did you take any pill after the sex or it was a safe one?” Freya asked
“None” Daisy responded
“Oh my goodness!! What if you get pregnant for him?” Freya said and Daisy sighed softly. She had lied to Daniel that she had taken pills that would prevent her from getting pregnant but the truth is, she didn’t take any pills. She just lied so he would be worried.
She sighed softly staring at Freya who was also staring at her.
“I just pray and hope I don’t get pregnant, ” Daisy said sadly and Freya sighed.
“You should take your bath and rest, alright,” Freya said and lay on the bed.

It was morning and another brand new day, Lisa had woken up feeling a little bit different. She felt so lazy to go wake her kids and get them dressed for school.
She wished Alfred was here so he would help her and make things easier for her. She managed to stand up from the bed and walked inside the bathroom.
She brushed her teeth and then walked out of the bathroom. She went downstairs to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. After that she went upstairs to her kid’s room to wake them up and get them dressed for school.
She served them breakfast as they sat at the dining table.
“Mommy where’s daddy?” Arabella asked looking around. They haven’t seen their daddy since they woke up and they wondered why.
“He’s gone out to get something, ” Lisa said in response
“When will he be coming back?” Isabella asked
“I don’t know yet, you guys should eat. I’ll go get dressed and drop you guys off at school” Lisa said and the kids nodded in response.
Lisa sighed softly and walked upstairs to her room. She picked up her phone and decided to call Alfred but on second thought, she dropped the phone.
“I’m not going to call him if he doesn’t call,” Lisa said loudly and dropped the phone. She walked inside her bathroom to her bath and got dressed for work.

After Lisa had dropped the kids off at school, she went to the restaurant. She was so distracted from work. All her mind and thoughts were filled with Alfred.
He hasn’t called her or the kids. She felt worried. She remembered how he had followed her to work yesterday, even though she acted like she didn’t like the fact that he was close to her, she was lying because she loved it.
She loved the fact that he was overprotective of her. She didn’t know why but right now she was missing him.
