Chapter 103
“No, mommy said if I needed to talk to her and she was sleeping I should wake her up,” Clara said
“This time is different. We can’t wake her up. Let’s just pray she wakes up by herself” Lisa said and Clara nodded and hugged Lisa so right.
“Come on, let’s go buy you food for yourself,” Lisa said and walked away from there. Just as she was about to walk out of the hospital building. She saw Mrs. Bella’s car drive in.
“Lisa” she called as she rushed out of the car and walked towards her.
“Hi Mrs. Bella” Lisa smiled at her
“What happened Lisa? I tried calling you yesterday but your phone was not going through” Mrs. Bella said and Lisa sighed.
“My phone battery went down. I’m charging it in the car” Lisa said and Mrs. Bella nodded.
“We need to talk to Lisa about the friends you keep. What about Dina?” She asked and Lisa stared at Clara. Mrs. Bella understood at once. She didn’t want to say anything in the presence of Clara.
“Nova is in the car playing a game on her phone. She might want to join her” Mrs. Bella said and Lisa nodded in agreement.
Lisa carried Clara inside the car and helped her sit beside Nova as they both played together. She then turned to Mrs. Bella.
“Daniel told me what happened. But he didn’t tell me the reason why Martha did what she did. He said he didn’t know the reason why. Do you have any idea why she would do that?” Mrs. Bella asked as she and Lisa both walked away from the car leaving Clara and Nova with the driver.
They stood at the corner of the hospital with Lisa telling her everything and just then Daniel walked towards them.
“Mom you’re here” Daniel said as he walked towards his mom and kissed her on her cheeks.
“Yeah, I came for quite a long time. Seems like you just came back from the office ” his mom said and he nodded then turned to Lisa.
“Hey, how are you feeling now?” Daniel asked
“I’m okay. I didn’t see you leave the house today” Lisa said
“Oh!! I had to leave early. It was an emergency” Daniel said and Lisa nodded.
“Mom, Nova didn’t go to school today. Why?” Daniel asked as he turned to his mom.
“I’ll go check on the children” Lisa smiled at them and with that he left.
“Yeah. Uhm, I didn’t wake up early and her nanny wasn’t around” Mrs Bella said and Daniel nodded and was about to leave but then turned to his mom.
“Mom, you heard from Tess?. Been trying to reach her for days now, just voicemail ” Daniel said and his mom crooked her rue brows.
“She didn’t tell you?” she asked and Daniel turned to her fully. He felt confused as he didn’t understand what his mom was talking about.
“Tell me what?” Daniel asked clueless.
“That she was leaving” Mrs Bella said
“Leaving??” Daniel scoffed
“That she was leaning the country with her dad” Mrs Bella said
“What?? When?? Why?” Daniel asked
“Oh shit!! Son. She had dropped by our house with her dad the day she was leaving. She just wanted to say goodbye. I thought she told you. I wouldn’t blame her any ways” Mrs Bella said sighed
“What do you mean mom?” Daniel asked
“I don’t know. Why don’t you try find out yourself and stop acting dump” Mrs bella said and with that she walked away.
Daniel scoffed as he rubbed his hands on his forehead. Tessa just left without even saying goodbye. Shit!! I thought we were friends, he thought but then suddenly his thoughts were disrupted by Williams.
“Sir are you alright?” Williams asked and Daniel turned to him. He looked refreshed and had already had a change of clothes.
“What are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you to stay at home and rest. For fuck sake you slept at the hospital last night Williams. Don’t you have pity for yourself, you need rest” Daniel said and with that he walked away.
Just then he saw Lisa rushed inside the hospital.
“What’s up with her?” Daniel asked his mom who was standing beside her car watching the children.
“It’s Dina. She just got out of coma” Mrs Bella mumbled.

A black car screeches to halt in front of Alfred’s mansion. The door opened and Andrew climbed out of the car.
He arranged the suit properly and walked inside the house. He had attended a board meeting today on behalf of Alfred’s. He claimed he wasn’t feeling too well and wouldn’t be able to attend so Andrew had to go in place of him.
Andrew walked inside the house and it was as quiet as usual, just the maid running helter skelter getting herself busy with one thing or another.
“Welcome sir” the maid greeted immediately she saw Andrew and he hummed.
“Where’s Alfred?” He asked
“He’s in his room upstairs ” the maid said and he nodded before walking upstairs to Alfred’s room. He couldn’t wait to tell him how successful the board meeting was. He knew Alfred had not been happy nor being himself but at-least he believed this was going to make his day.
He knocked on Alfred’s door but there was no answer. He pushed the door open and walked in and to his surprise he saw Alfred lying on the bed looking drained and half naked.
“Alfred ” he called and then his eyes drifted to the table. He saw a white substance on it and some bottles of whiskey.
“Oh shit!! It shouldn’t be what I’m thinking ” he mumbled as he moved towards the table. He touched the white substance and put it on his tongue.
“Fuck!!” He spits it out at once.
“Alfred you’ve been taking cocaine” Andrew said almost yelling but Alfred didn’t say a word.
He just laid on the bed drunk and high with his eyes wide open staring at the ceiling.
“I thought you’d gotten over this ? If this is about Lisa, she’s not coming back so you better…………” Andrew paused as he saw a young lady putting on a white robe walk out of the bathroom.
“Oh shit!!”
