Chapter 99
Derek and Julia stared at each other too and they both hopped out of the car before they sneaked into the warehouse to their surprise, they saw Martha and joy sitting down talking and Clara lying unconscious on the ground.
“Oh my God!! What did she do to Clara?” Lisa whispered and was about to come out of their hiding but Derek quickly held her making what they hiding behind make a sound.
I thought you said no one followed you?” they heard Martha say
“I swear no one followed me. I made sure of that” they heard joy say.
Martha brought out two guns and gave one to joy then held the other one.
She moved towards Clara and pointed the gun at her.
“Whoever is there, if you don’t come out I’m gonna pull the bullet on this child’s forehead and I’m sure you don’t want that,” Martha said as she crooked the gun in her hands.
Lisa turned to Derek and he gave her the look “Lisa don’t “. Lisa didn’t pay any attention to him as she came out.
Martha was a little bit shocked to see her but she wasn’t that surprised.
“Look who we have here, finally ” Martha laughed as she pointed the gun at Lisa.
“So you came to save the baby here. Oh, God!! a hero will always be a hero ” Martha chuckled.
“Martha, why are you doing this? ” Lisa asked and Martha chuckled.
“Oh seriously, you asked me this question. I’m doing this because of you. Because I fucking hate you. Since you came into Daniels’s life, you ruined my plans of making him mine and I freaking, fucking despise you for that” Martha yelled and Lisa flinched.
She could feel the anger in Martha’s voice and if care is not taken she might pull the trigger on her.
“Martha, this isn’t you, please put down the gun. This isn’t you. You’re better than this” Lisa said trying to calm her down.
“Oh my goodness!!” Martha laughed and Lisa stared at her and wondered why she was laughing, she hadn’t said anything funny.
“Oh come on Lisa. This is me. This is the real me, it’s just that you didn’t realize this side of me in time because you’re only good at seeing the good side of people ignoring the bad side and that is what is going to kill you ” Martha said as she took a step towards Lisa pointing the gun at her.
“The Martha I know is a sweet caring girl that loves everyone. The Martha I know has a good heart and would never do anything to harm anyone”
“Just shut up, shut up. Shut the fuck up” Martha yelled and Lisa swallowed hard in fear.
“I hate you so much Lisa, I hate you with my life. I hate you with everything in me. I fucking so much hate and hate you that I want to kill you” Martha said as she crooked the gun.
Suddenly she heard noises from outside. It was the police. They had arrived.
“Surrender now, miss Martha. The building is surrounded” they heard the police voice from outside the building.
“So you called the police. Very smart of you” Martha said
“No, I swear I didn’t call the police I swear,” Lisa said
“Then who did?” Martha asked as she moved toward Lisa.
“We did,” Derek and Julia said as they came out of their hiding.
“Very smart of you not to come alone. Bravo, bravo” Martha said as she clapped her hands.
Julia turned to her sister with joy. She stared at her with disappointment on her face. She couldn’t believe her sister would do such a thing. It was so heartbreaking.
Joy stared at her sister as tears gathered in her eyes. She could see her sister was disappointed in her and it breaks her heart.
“Martha, please surrender now you still have the chance please” Lisa pleaded
“Oh yes! So I can go and spend the rest of my life in jail?” Martha laughed.
“Martha please don’t do this, please ” Derek pleaded
“You lost Martha, it’s over. The building is surrounded. Drop your gun” Julia said
“Just shut up, please just shut up all of you” she yelled as she pointed the gun at Lisa’s forehead.
“If I go down, she’s going down with me,” she said and crooked her gun. Lisa closed her eyes waiting for her to shoot. Memories of how her mother was shot on her forehead twice came running into her head.
She knew she was going to die one day but she didn’t expect it to be the same way her mother died. But she was glad because she was finally going to reunite with her mom and dad again and they were going to be happy.
She closed her eyes so tight and suddenly she heard gunshots, followed by another gunshot and a scream followed. Everything became void, she couldn’t hear any sound anymore.
Memories of the night she was taken came running into her head. She was sleeping peacefully that night when she heard those gunshots, followed by a scream. Her mom held her so tight, telling her everything was going to be fine.
Telling her she was going to protect her even though it was the last thing she did. How the door to her room had burst open revealing a masked man. And the man shot her mom twice in the forehead.
How she had pleaded with him begging him to save her mom that she was going to do anything, anything he tells her. How he dragged her away without listening to her pleas.
How she found out the man on the mask was no one but her uncle Damon. Her father’s brother. The man she took as her father after the death of her biological father.
How she felt betrayed by him. How Everything had happened so fast.
