Chapter 96
You’re putting yourself and the babies at risk. Please, Lisa. You have to rest, please. I called your friends. They’ll be here in no time to keep you company ” Daniel said Lisa nodded in response and just then Derek, Julia, and Joy walked in.
“Oh my goodness!! Lisa” Derek called as he walked in.
“Excuse me. I’ll be right back” Daniel said and pecked Lisa on her cheeks before walking out of her ward.
“What happened? We were so scared when sir Daniel called and told us you were at the hospital ” Julia said looking worried.
“What about Dina? I heard she’s in a coma and Clara is missing. How come? I heard it’s all Martha’s handwork. Why would she do such a thing?” Derek said as he sat close to Lisa.
“I don’t know I’m so confused too but I’m going to find out why,” Lisa said
“She won’t be able to hide for long. We will find her ” Julia said and then Lisa’s eyes drifted to joy who was staring at her weirdly and she hasn’t even said a word since she came.
She wondered if she was alright, but that was the least of her problems right now. All she wants is for Martha to be found so they can take back Clara and for Dina to be alright.

Meanwhile, no one was watching and everyone was busy looking for a way to track down Martha. Joy took her phone and walked inside the restroom.
She dialed Martha’s number and without hesitation, she answered the phone call.
“Oh shit!! Martha, I thought you wouldn’t pick up. I just saw Dina. Why did you do such a thing to her? You almost killed her” joy whispered softly
“Good for her. If she hadn’t interfered in what I was doing she and her pathetic daughter would be happy now. She was never my target. She caused this upon herself ” Martha rolled her eyes
“We are in big trouble, Martha. The police are everyone searching for you” joy whispered in a way that she could barely hear her voice.
“I know. And I’m hiding in a safe place ” Martha responded
“Everyone including Derek and Julia is suspecting me already. I need to get out of here before they find out I joined you in planning this ”Joy said and she could imagine Martha rolling her eyes.
“Fine then. I’ll text you the address of where I am right now. You can come and meet me then we can leave together. And be sure no one is following you when you’re coming. If you get me exposed I’ll kill you” Martha said and ended the call.
Joy sighed softly and ruffled her hair. She wondered what she’s gotten herself into. She should never have agreed with Martha’s plan now it’s all a mess, she thought to herself.
She put her phone back in her trouser pocket and walked out of the bathroom and she saw Julia walking in. She felt kind of shocked. She quickly calmed herself down.
“Oh, I expected you would be here. Come on the police is here to ask us some questions ” Julia said
“Questions?” Joy said as a cold shiver ran down her spine.
“Just some questions, nothing more. Why are you scared?” Julia asked
“What? Scared? I’m not scared” joy stuttered and Julia burst into laughter.
“I was only pulling your legs. The police aren’t here. Come on let’s go meet Lisa in her ward” Julia said and held joy on her shoulder as they walked away.
“Thank God she doesn’t know ” joy thought
“Oh, poor sister Julia. She doesn’t know what her sister has done. If you know I bet you’ll hate me for the rest of your life” joy thought as they both walked inside Lisa’s ward.
Joy and Julia are blood sisters but most people don’t know that. They probably think they’re just best friends but no they’re more than that because they’re both related by blood.
Julia and Joy had met Derek when they started working at Daniel’s company. So they became kind of close. Daniel is gay and Julia is a lesbian but joy is normal, she’s only attracted to her opposite gender.
“Joy are you alright?” Derek asked as she and Julia walked inside the ward.

Martha is seen in an empty warehouse. She sat on the chair as she watched Clara who was lying unconscious on the ground.
She had injected her with some sleeping tablets since she wouldn’t stop crying that she wants to see her mom. She would not let herself be caught because of one little spoilt brat, she thought.
People barely know about this warehouse. It’s an abandoned warehouse downtown. The owner of the warehouse was a drug dealer. After being caught and arrested by the DEA, his drug business that took place here was eventually abandoned making it known as the abandoned warehouse. Even if they search everywhere in town, they wouldn’t think of this place.
Martha sighed softly and stared at Clara for some seconds before looking away. If Dina had minded her business and didn’t go through her phone maybe she would be with her daughter by now.
If she hadn’t found out she was the one who gave Liam the coffee that day to poison Lisa, then she and her daughter would be so happy.
If she hadn’t found out she was the one who killed Liam, she wouldn’t have been in the hospital by now. Worst of all when she found out everything, she immediately took her phone to call Lisa thinking I wouldn’t find out. She’s not even smart but shit!! That woman is a fighter, Martha thought as she stared at the cut in her arms and leg.
After she saw Dina trying to call Lisa to tell her what she found out, she took the phone from her, ended the call, and hit it on the ground.
She had wanted to leave but she knew if she had left Dina would have told Lisa everything. That she was the one behind everything. So she tried killing her but Dina didn’t want to go down without a fight. God!! I hate her.
She was never my target, Lisa was my target all this while but now see what she brought upon herself. She should have just minded her business, Martha thought.
