Mom next time please, I’ll make it up to you guys I promise , I have something important to attend to” he said wearing a worried look and with that he ran out of the house and hopped into the car and drove out of the compound at speed.

The car screeched to a halt in the compound and Daniel rushed inside the house and met ma’am Lois trying to calm Lisa down as she was holding a knife in her hands, wanting to kill herself.
“Lisa” Daniel called as he walked in and Lisa turned to him with tears in her eyes.
“Stay away from me” she yelled and Daniel moved back a bit.
“Lisa dropped the knife. You need to calm down ” Daniel said and Lisa nodded negatively
“What’s the essence of living this life? I have no one, no hope and absolutely nothing. And now I’m pregnant with a monster’s child.” Lisa cried
“No Lisa, that’s where you get it wrong. You have me, you have ma’am Lois. We will stand by you, please don’t harm the baby and yourself ” Daniel said moving towards her bit by bit.
“You don’t get it. You don’t understand me. This wasn’t the life I wished to live. I just wanted to live a peaceful life and everything got ruined. Who’s gonna father this child in my womb? I can’t handle this, it’s just too much for me” Lisa said with more tears sliding down her cheeks. Pain and sadness seared through her.
“Lisa, you’re not alone. I promise to father the child. I’ll take all the responsibilities and from today you’ll live a peaceful life as you’ve always wished” Daniel who had now gotten close to her took the knife from her and gave it to ma’am Lois and hugged Lisa.
“Shhhhh!! ” he said, patting her back.
“Trust me, you’re not alone in this. I promise to stand by you Lisa ” he said and all Lisa could do was cry and cry as she couldn’t even say a word.
Ma’am Lois smiled as he saw the sincerity in Daniel’s eyes. He meant every word he’s said and he was truly going to stand by Lisa.

Daniel and ma’am Lois stood as they stared at Lisa who was fast asleep.
“Daniel, she needs someone to keep eyes on her so she won’t harm herself and the baby” ma’am Lois said and Daniel nodded in agreement.
“I’ll get her something to do to get herself distracted from all these. It will make her heal faster” Daniel said
“Something like what?” Ma’am Lois said
“Working at my company. I’ll easily keep an eye on her there. At least she can see new people and make new friends and blend in” Daniel said
“What about your mom? What if she finds out about all of this” ma’am Lois said
“She won’t, ” Daniel said and moved towards her and covered her properly with the duvet and pecked her forehead before walking out of the room.

Alfred is seen in his room drinking himself to stupor, wallowing in his pains when the door bursts open really Jenny , his ex.
“Alfred” Jenny called as she walked in seductively to him. Alfred, whose eyes were closed, opened it immediately and he saw Jenny.
Alfred stared at her without saying a word as he was too drunk. Jenny decided to use that as an advantage on him since he was drunk by seducing him.
He closed his eyes and opened them again and the next thing he saw was Lisa standing in front of him smiling at him.
“Lisa” he called and tried standing up but she placed her hands on his chest telling him to calm.
At first Jenny frowned when he called the name Lisa but then she decided to play along.
Jenny kissed him and he reciprocated thinking it was Lisa kissing him not knowing it was Jenny.
In a jiffy, their clothes were on the ground and the only sound that could be heard from the room were sounds of Jenny and Alfred moaning.

It was morning and the sounds of bird chirping could be heard. Alfred opened his bleary eyes and yawned.
“Baby you’re awake” Jenny said softly and Alfred turned only to see the shock of his life. Jenny, his ex, is lying beside him.
“Oh my God. What are you doing here? How did you get in here?” He yelled and stood up from the bed and quickly put on his clothes.
“Baby, didn’t you enjoy the sex from last night?” Jenny said and licked his fingers. Alfred stared at her disgustingly.
The memories of what happened between them last night came running into his head. He thought it was Lisa. Oh , I fucked up big time” he said as he stared at Jenny.
“Get out” he said to Jenny in his cold voice sending shivers down her spine.
“Alfred please let’s talk please” Jenny said and Alfred scoffed.
“Talk about what? Jenny we have nothing to talk about, absolute nothing. After everything you did to me, you still had the right to come to my house? The Audacity!!” He said and scoffed as the memories of how Jenny cheated on him countless times came running into his head.
Alfred loved Jenny so much that he’d be willing to give up his life for her but in the end she betrayed him by cheating on him with a business partner and many other men he lost counts of the number of men she’s cheated on him with.
“Jenny get out and never show yourself here else I’m going to kill you” he said and Jenny stood up from the bed in fear. Picked up his clothes and ran out of the room. He’s known Alfred for so long, he doesn’t make empty threats.
When Jenny walked out of the house he met Andrew walking in. Andrew was in shock to see Jenny. He quickly rushed upstairs to Alfred’s room.
“What’s she doing here?” Andrew asked as he walked inside the room.
“I don’t know” Alfred said and sat on the bed holding a bottle of whisky in his hands.
Andrew sighed and took the bottle of drink from him.
“Alfred , you need to calm down and accept the fact that Lisa is gone. She’s never going to return. Even if she’s going to return, seeing you this way she won’t even want to return” Andrew paused and continued.
“You’ve turned into a drunkard overnight. Stop punishing yourself. Common Alfred bea man. Get on your feet and return to the company. These few days you’ve been absent, the company has been on loss. Whatever is affecting you is affecting the company too Alfred. Remember your mom left the company for you and she would never be happy seeing you this way”
