Chapter 29
He turned to Lisa who was still asleep, her face looking beautiful with her red lips which were as red as blood. And her skin looked so tender and pure. Alfred almost found himself admiring her but he quickly wiped off the thoughts.
He walked towards her in an attempt to wake her up so she could get out of his room but he Quickly stopped. He had actually called her so she could come serve him food but now she’s asleep and he didn’t want to wake her up.
But then he did what no one could expect him to do. He helped her lay properly on the couch and covered her with the duvet.
He walked out of the room and went to his study room. He sat on his chair and opened his laptop.

It was morning again and another new day to be precise. Lisa had woken up and met herself lying on Alfred’s couch, covered with his duvet.
“She had fallen asleep in his room last night but did he?” She stared at the duvet in her hands.
She looked around the room and luckily Alfred was nowhere to be found, she quickly stood up and walked out of the room to hers.
She didn’t waste any time in running to the bathroom. She took her bath and quickly wore her clothes then walked inside the kitchen.
She prepared breakfast and cleaned up the house. When she was done she served Alfred’s food and took it to his room. She planted a soft knock on the door but there was no answer. She opened the door and walked it but Alfred wasn’t there. She dropped the food at the side of his bed and began to wonder where he was. He should come eat breakfast so he could eat his drugs.
She walked out of the and made to go back to her room when a guard asked her to follow him, she did without hesitation.
In a blink of an eye they were both at the balcony, there she met Alfred standing with his phone in his hands.
She’s never been to this part of this house before and she must say it looks so classic.
She was so lost admiring the place when Alfred spoke in his cold voice “I see you’ve lost your manners”
“I’m sorry master. Good morning master” Lisa quickly said as she realized her mistake.
Alfred looked away from his phone and stared at Lisa whose head was bowed. He moved away from where he was standing and sat on a chair.
Lisa sighed tiredly as she’s been standing now for the past 30 minutes. Alfred had refused to say a word to her and she’s been standing with her head bowed.
“Is this another sort of punishment from him?” She thought tiredly.
“Sir, breakfast is served in your room already and your drugs too you should also take them” she finally mustered the courage to say something and Alfred stared at Lisa then said “are you telling me what to do and what not to do?” Alfred asked and Lisa stared at him cluelessly.
“I only asked him to take his drugs and he’s…… fine then don’t take it , you’ll only fall sick again “, she thought in her head and rolled her eyes, thankfully he didn’t see her.
“No sir” she said in reply
“Go prepare my coffee and put it in my room. I’ll be there in a jiffy” he said and she nodded and left.

After she had prepared the coffee she took it to Alfred’s room and was about to walk out when she heard some strange sound coming from the back of Alfred’s wardrobe. Then she saw a shadow of someone, she felt scared immediately as a cold shiver ran down her spine.
“Who’s there?” She asked moving towards the wardrobe but there was no answer.
“Who’s there?” She muttered again and then checked the back of the wardrobe but there was nothing there.
” Maybe I’m the one hallucinating. There’s nothing here” she said to herself and was about to turn around when she felt someone hit her on the head with a bottle.
“Argh” she groaned and turned around only to see Ria smiling at her .
“What did you do?” She muttered as she felt blood gushing from her head.
“Hey, did you miss me?” She muttered and gave out a wicked smile.
“Ria!! I thought you were…..” she paused as the pain she was feeling was getting too intense.
“Yeah. I left or should I say I was thrown out. Anyhow but I came to get something ” she said and waved a paper on her face.
“This was the reason I started working here, so I finally got it, what an achievement” Ria burst into laughter and she stared at Lisa who was closing her eyes and opening it as it was already becoming blur.
“What do you think you’re doing Ria?” she muttered weakly.
“You know I really like you Lisa. I should tell you the truth I poisoned your pathetic master Alfred ” she said and Lisa fell to the ground immediately.
Everywhere was becoming so dark, she was trying hard to be strong but she was already weak.
“Let’s go Ria. Mr Alfred is coming ” she heard a male voice and then came to think of it that voice sounded too familiar.
“Yes she had heard this voice before, here in this house. It was one of Alfred’s bodyguard voice” She thought and suddenly she lost consciousness.
Just then Alfred walked inside his room , he was on a phone call with Andrew.
“Those fucking client are so stubborn. They were not as easy as you think Alfred but thankfully I convinced them and they signed it. This calls for celebration, I’ll be home in just 20 minutes” Andrew kept talking non stop and Alfred sighed.
“Okay but………” Alfred paused as she saw Lisa lying on the ground in the pool of her own blood.
“Alfred are you there?” Andrew asked as Alfred became silent.
“I’ll call you back Andrew, I got some important matters to handle” he said and ended the call.
