CHAPTER 52- EPILOGUE
JASMINE’S P. O. V.
It has been a year since I have been mated to Gabe. I can’t say I regret any of it. My father took some winning over, but when he saw us together he relented. Hunter was in the cells until the baby was born. I allowed him to see the baby one time before I exiled him. I hoped that maybe he could just live his life with Allison and be happy. The council had other plans. They took Allison right away. She had to answer for her crimes. I have not heard anything about her since. I hear about Hunter from time to time. He went rogue and ran the borders of the pack lands in his fur, never shifting back.
Since we didn’t need to finish exposing ourselves to the humans, we are still a secret pack, just a few humans that come to see us from time to time. Occasionally a few more join them. I think eventually we will just be a part of the community. I love that I get to see my human friends all the time. Sam even has a house in the pack lands. She works with Nick here in the territory. They hit it off after a little while of getting to know each other. It is cute to see them together.
Jay was relieved to receive his own mate when he started meeting wolves from Gabe’s pack. He doesn’t like that he is going to out-live her, but he is enjoying the time with her while he has her. I am happy that he has someone too. He is my official bodyguard so he is always at my side as soon as I leave the house.
Christain and Zoe are doing great. She has taken to the Luna job fantastically and the pack took her with little complaint. As soon as they saw her do the job all the little disagreements disappeared.
Tylor Brown is our Beta. He has a new mate too. He never makes me miss Hunter that is for sure. He looks at Gabe and I just like a Beta is supposed to. He still even works at the high school.
Our pack lands are double what they were. Once we were mated our lands combined. It’s a lot to run, but Gabe and I work together perfectly. We are always with each other, there is never a time when we are separate. I would like to think I would be smothered but I’m not. I love every minute of it. Sometimes I think we both had crap mates just to show us how perfect our bond is.
I was right, I had a girl. She is perfect, looks like me. I named her Lila after my mom. I have never been so happy for anything in my life. Gabe is great with her too. Carries her around like it is his own daughter. Calls her his little princess. I wouldn’t think that a big burly man like him would be so sweet and soft, but he is. When it comes to his ladies, as he puts it, he only wants to protect us. Sometimes when he is dealing with the other pack members I have to get him to back off. He can be too strict. He is known as iron fist Alpha.
We just came back from a dinner at the pack house and I have been edgy all night. I couldn’t wait to tell him my news. It wasn’t easy to keep it a secret from him either. Especially since we are always together. I managed though and I can’t wait to tell him.
We put Lila down to sleep and head to our room right next door. I pull him to the bed. He smirks at me. “What does my Luna have planned?”
I get on my knees on the bed and pull him closer to me. He is still standing. This almost puts us at the same level. “I have something to tell you.” I smile up at him as I wrap my arms around his neck.
His arms come around my waist. “What is that Darlin’?”
I bite my bottom lip. “I am pregnant.”
Complete shock passes over his face. Then his eyes light up and he lifts me off the bed spinning around. His lips press to mine. “You aren’t fooling me are you?”
I laugh. “No, I am having your pup.”
“Yes.” He screams out. I am a little worried that he is going to wake up Lila. He spins me around again.
“Shh, You’ll wake Lila.” I chuckle at him.
“That would be so bad right now.” His voice gets that low tone that means only one thing. He plans to celebrate with my body.
“Oh, yeah, what do you have planned, my Alpha?”
“I am going to pleasure my Luna all night long.” He lays me on the bed and loves me in a way that I have never felt before in my life. After all the pain that Hunter put me through, I am so happy to have a man like Gabe in my life. A man that thinks of me first. A man that never wants to leave my side. I look at the heart on his shoulder that has his name and mine etched inside. A feeling of comfort comes over me. This is my man and he loves me. Never once has he made me feel any different.
