Book:Mr Billionaire Husband Regrets Divorce Published:2025-4-15

Vivian POV
Max strode in, interrupting our conversation and carrying a small bag that contained what I didn’t know exactly. His brows creased in surprise on seeing his father as he dropped the bag on the bed beside me, turning to his father with a questioning lokk
“What are you doing here father? I mean how are you even here?” He asked and Mr Norman smiled and stood up up.
“Max is already here dear Vivian, I’ll leave you both” He said, ignoring Max’s question and advanced towards the door but he halted on his tracks, his hands stilling on the doorknob as he whirled around for a final glance.
“Take care of her Max and make sure Tim runs another test on her, I think something’s not right” He then turned and strode out and Max’s gaze shifted towards me.
“What does he mean? Tim didn’t run the test properly?” He demanded in a sharp intense tone.
” No, that’s not it. Doctor Tim already did his job but your father believes that he didn’t run it properly since I’m getting fainting spells” I replied casually, forcing my voice to sound as neutral as possible rather than the nervousness that threatened to peek at it.
“Fainting spell?” Hr repeated, the words sounding foreign off his lips. “Isn’t that a major sign for gestational period for pregnant women?” He narrowed his brows in thoughts.
“Damn! Where the hell is Tim!” He stood up menacingly and in that moment, my heart began to thump fast. Oh! My secret was going to be let out in the open at this rate.
“Max, what’s wrong, no just told his report so what do you mean by pregnancy?” I asked with a hinge of discomfort.
“I’m calling him re- examine the tests again, what if you’re actually pregnant?” His face lit up with a mischievous smile and I gulped down the lump that formed in my throat, my throat patching dry and tighter, unable to make out the words to say.
“You all are getting it wrong. I am the one that should if I am pregnant Max. I’ve been just stressed lately” I said, hoping inwardly that my words would be as convincing as ever.
” Don’t worry Vivian, he’ll confirm that once he’s here” He finally said as he dialed a number. In what sprinted like a few seconds, Doctor Tim arrived, his face seemed to have drained off their usual colors and I knew that I was done for, there was nothing more to hide. He would find out out anytime soon from now.
“Tim” Max called with an autocratic voice and Tim stiffened at where he stood, his face bent down.
“Run another test on her and be very discreet about it, she’s getting fainting spells which is common for pregnant women am. i right?” Max asked and Tim nodded even before Max completed the question.
“Good, Five minutes and you’re here with the results, Get out” Max ordered, his aura authoritative and powerful than even I could feel it emanating.
Tim ran out without hesitation, as if something was chasing him. I could understand that majority of people was scared of Max because of the rumor but the Max I had lived with was something far from cruel. Dangerous? Yes! He is very Dangerous and snaky but to term his as cruel for injustice wasn’t plausible at all. The fact that he was to ascend his father’s mafia’s position soon enough added to the fright of the few people that knew him well because Max wasn’t the type that is patient enough like his father, he was utterly impatient at anything.
Silence stretched between as I glued my eyes on the small bag Max had brought resting on the white bed sheets.
“Here” He took out something from it
My eyes widened on seeing what it was
“Actually, someone asked me to deliver these to you and for now, I’m keeping the identity of the person anonymous” He added as he took my hands dropped a diamond Stoned necklace in my palms.
I knew what this was. And the only person that possesed this and had promised to give it to me as a gift on my birthday was my grandfather. It only had two pairs in the entire world exclusively made from France. And each pair costs 17 million dollars. My grandfather possesed one and the other one was bought by another person according to the news I heard but wait!
“How did you get this Max, it’s only__” I sealed my lips instantly shut, realizing myself and how I almost exposed my identity.
“Like I said earlier Vivian, someone anonymous sent this to you, and your name is carved at the center” He said, pointing to the heart of pendent in the necklace and truly the word’ Vivian’ rested there beautifully.
But then, I felt bothered, could it be my grandfather? But there was no way my grandfather would know the Norman’s right? And even so, he would have told me.
I was greatly perturbed and especially the way Max was staring at me added to the confusion.
“Vivian?” He called and I zoned out of my thoughts, turning to look at him with an ‘huh?’ expression.
” What did Daniel say to you?” His question caught me off guard. Did he still have that in mind? What exactly was going on? So many unanswered confusion settled in my mind.
“He didn’t say anything to me Max, why are you so bothered about Daniel Browns, I thought he used to be your best friend so what changed?”I raised a questioning glare at him and he kept silent, as if contemplating with his next choice of words maybe.
” Today, you ran to find me at the pool, what happened?” He asked another entirely different yet again, ignoring the previous one he had brought up and I furrowed brows in an utterly confused state.
What’s wrong with him? This was quite creep.
“It’s because_ it’s because” I stuttered, lacking words to describe the truth when he asked yet another question.
“Are you pregnant?”
