Chapter 2183: Resolved in a Few Moves

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2025-4-15

After defeating the Flame Devourer Copper Serpent, Leo flicked his finger towards the man with the snake ring.
A strand of sea-blue flame pierced through the void, shooting towards the snake-ringed man.
The man had no time to dodge, and the sea-blue flame landed on him, followed by a piercing scream.
The scream lasted only two or three seconds before fading away, as the snake-ringed man turned to ashes.
Witnessing this scene, the injured elder instinctively swallowed hard.
“So strong!” Mason’s eyes were filled with shock and a hint of admiration.
The young man on the deck appeared to be about the same age as him, yet possessed such terrifying power.
“Aarav!” The burly man’s face changed dramatically.
The thin man and the dark-faced man also showed expressions of astonishment.
They were part of The Nine Thieves, notorious for their reputation. Typically, families from Commonplace City would avoid them, but today, two of their members were casually slain by a young man.
The burly man’s gaze towards Leo showed some apprehension, but mostly anger.
“You dare kill our people? My eldest, second, and third brothers are all top-tier Spirit Saint experts. You’re courting death!” The burly man snarled fiercely.
“Even the Lawson Family, on par with the Moore Family in Commonplace City, wouldn’t dare offend us! Two years ago, after they killed our fourth brother, we slaughtered their family members outside until they had to offer millions of Spirit Stones to seek peace with us.” The thin man’s eyes showed less fear, flashing coldly as he spoke harshly.
“No matter where you’re from, hand over the Flying Spirit Treasure and leave immediately, or prepare to face the wrath of my three brothers!” The dark-faced man also shouted fiercely.
Despite their threats, Leo stood proudly on the deck without a trace of fear, his expression growing colder. “If your brothers are so formidable, then I definitely can’t let you go.”
With those words, Leo flicked his finger towards the three men.
“Retreat!”
Seeing that the person on the deck was not intimidated but instead aimed to eliminate them completely, the burly man finally felt fear and shouted urgently.
However, just as his voice fell, two strands of sea-blue flame pierced through the void. The thin man and dark-faced man each let out a scream and turned into two flaming figures.
As the third strand of sea-blue flame shot towards him, the burly man’s face showed horror. He wanted to dodge but found his body was immobilized in mid-air.
Facing imminent death, the burly man flipped his right hand, revealing a delicate silver Jade Talisman.
“Big brother, those who killed us are from the Moore Family and three outsiders. You must avenge us and make them suffer endlessly!” The burly man’s venomous voice rang out as he crushed the silver Jade Talisman in his hand.
After shattering, the silver Jade Talisman released a silver glow that merged into the void and vanished.
“A transmission Jade Talisman?” Leo’s gaze sharpened slightly.
“Ah! You outsiders will die…” The burly man’s body was engulfed in sea-blue flames, his venomous voice echoing.
Leo’s gaze cooled as he scanned the void, his consciousness expanding. He then reached out across space to grab a spot ten thousand meters away.
A silver light cluster was captured.
However, once caught, it immediately exploded.
The explosion formed several silver rays. Leo directly extinguished three of them, but two still vanished into the void.
Leo’s expression darkened slightly but did not pursue further. Those two disappearing silver rays likely couldn’t transmit complete information. Even if they did succeed in transmitting it, Leo wasn’t afraid.
Seeing Leo effortlessly slay five of The Nine Thieves, the injured elder, Mason, and Haley took quite some time to recover from their shock.
“Thank you for saving our lives!” Haley bowed respectfully while Mason and the injured elder bent down to express their gratitude.
“Come aboard,” Leo nodded slightly.
Leo’s first destination was Commonplace City. Since these three were from the Moore Family in Commonplace City, he could learn about the city’s situation from them.
The three exchanged glances before simultaneously flying onto the deck.
“Sir, my name is Mason Moore. This is my sister Haley Moore and Elder Nick from the Moore Family. We are from Commonplace City’s Moore Family.” Once on deck, Mason introduced himself with admiration in his eyes as he looked at Leo.
Leo glanced at the three and briefly introduced himself and his companions.
Mason appeared slightly youthful, likely around twenty years old; Haley stood gracefully tall. Though not as beautiful as Seraphina, she was still quite attractive.
“Leo, you’re incredible! You effortlessly slew five of The Nine Thieves,” Mason exclaimed excitedly.
With the fear of being hunted gone, his outgoing nature emerged.
Haley gave Leo a deep look and said, “Leo, this all started because of us. We won’t drag you into it. Once we return to our family, we’ll claim that we were the ones who killed them.”
Leo didn’t mind; he had already killed them anyway.
He then asked about Commonplace City’s Cross-Domain Teleportation Array.
“Leo, recently there’s been an issue with Commonplace City’s Cross-Domain Teleportation Array. It will reopen in ten days,” Mason explained.
“Yes, Leo. When you arrive at Commonplace City, please stay at our home. You saved our lives; it’s only right for the Moore Family to show hospitality as gratitude,” Haley added.
Leo didn’t refuse and nodded. In Commonplace City, they were unfamiliar with the surroundings; staying with the Moore Family would be beneficial.
During their conversation, Leo gained a general understanding of Commonplace City.
Commonplace City ranked among the top ten towns in Southern Marches Realm’s Southland and was currently overseen by its city lord. The leading families within included The King, Booth, Stuart Families; The Moore Family; and The Lawson Family.
These families were well-established and had several Spirit Saint-level experts within their ranks.
“Why did The Nine Thieves target you?” Leo asked.
“Leo, normally the Nine Thieves wouldn’t bother with Moore Family members. But because Commonplace City’s triennial auction is approaching soon, my sister and I went to collect Spirit Stones from cities under our family’s jurisdiction nearby. That’s when five of The Nine Thieves decided to rob us,” Mason explained.
“Auction?” Leo’s eyes lit up with interest; this sounded intriguing.
Commonplace City was one of Southern Marches Realm’s renowned cities; its auctions were bound to be high-level events.
As they conversed while heading towards Commonplace City, far away from Commonplace City atop, a spiritual energy-filled mountain peak stood a palace built from green stone slabs.
Three figures sat cross-legged inside this palace filled with dense spiritual energy.
At one point, behind them on an altar within this palace, lay five shattered Jade Plaques…
