Chris never expected that even after hiding so carefully, he would still be discovered by Jack Butler.
At that moment, Chris finally understood why Jack Butler wanted to compete with him in sniper skills. It was clear that Jack had come prepared.
Jack Butler’s position as the captain of Team Wolf and his reputation as the youngest general in the War Department were undoubtedly well-earned.
As the evening deepened, Chris scanned the small town through his night vision goggles.
Suddenly, the quiet of the town was broken by a growing cacophony of noise.
Chris noticed armed figures emerging, dressed in black and wielding firearms.
These were all Dark World operatives. They had realized they were surrounded by agents of the Radiant Faith Chapel and were attempting to break through under the cover of darkness.
However, these operatives were just the lowest ranks of the Dark World, mere cannon fodder.
Bang!
A gunshot rang out, and one of the Dark World guards fell in a pool of blood.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunfire erupted from all directions.
Seeing this, the guards of the Dark World turned pale. They hastily grabbed their weapons and launched a frenzied counterattack.
But they were no match. One by one, they fled in panic.
Chris watched with a faint smile at the corner of his lips.
There was no need to guess-this attack had to be the work of the Death Guards.
Roar!
Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed.
From one of the buildings, a massive figure charged out.
Standing nearly seven or eight meters tall, the creature exuded a powerful and menacing aura.
Chris gasped in shock. “Titans!”
Titans were a unique race within the Dark World, known for their immense power.
Alongside Titans, there were werewolves and the Blood Clan-these were collectively referred to as the dark races, exclusive to the Dark World.
This Titan was colossal, towering at least five or six meters. Compared to humans, it was a true giant.
Its body was not only massive but also incredibly robust, radiating overwhelming strength.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Countless bullets struck the Titan’s body as it appeared.
But the Titan’s defense was nearly impenetrable; the bullets couldn’t harm it.
Still, the impact of the bullets caused it to howl in pain.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
From the street corners, figures emerged swiftly and silently.
Their faces were pale, and they moved with inhuman speed, radiating an eerie, malevolent aura.
Chris immediately recognized them-they were members of the Blood Clan.
In addition to the Blood Clan, a few werewolves also appeared.
The Blood Clan, werewolves, and Titans were the three primary races of the Dark World, dominant in both numbers and territory.
Ordinary humans were no match for these dark races.
The Blood Clan’s speed made them nearly impossible to hit with bullets.
The werewolves, cunning and elusive, hid in the shadows, remaining undetected.
And the Titans, with their impenetrable defenses, were impervious to bullets.
Chris studied the town carefully. There were about ten members of the Blood Clan, two werewolves, and one Titan.
Aside from these dark races, the rest were ordinary Dark World guards.
Altogether, this was a formidable force. Without the Alliance of Light’s meticulous preparation, defeating them would have been impossible.
The Dark World’s strength rivaled that of the Radiant Faith Chapel. The Pope himself had brought Chris here, undoubtedly after thorough planning.
The Radiant Faith Chapel had clearly known about the presence of the Blood Clan, Titans, and werewolves in this town, yet they still dared to send forces to eliminate them. This proved that the Alliance of Light was not to be underestimated.
Besides the Death Guards and Team Wolf, elite forces from other nations had also joined this battle.
The Titan grabbed a special forces soldier and, in an instant, tore him into pieces.
“Light shall shine upon the earth, and darkness shall be vanquished.”
A chant echoed suddenly.
Clatter, clatter, clatter…
Armored knights wielding heavy swords and riding white horses appeared.
Chris frowned at the sight.
These were the Cross Knights, an armed force under the Radiant Faith Chapel, specifically trained to combat the Dark World.
The appearance of the Cross Knights caused the Dark World operatives to visibly panic.
For centuries, the Radiant Faith Chapel and the Dark World had been mortal enemies.
The Dark World greatly feared the warriors of the Radiant Faith Chapel.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The two sides quickly clashed in an intense battle.
The Dark World operatives had no escape and launched a desperate last stand.
The fighting grew fiercer with each passing moment. One by one, the Dark World guards fell to the Cross Knights’ blades.
“Let there be light!”
Suddenly, a dazzling light erupted.
“Ahhh!”
Screams echoed as the blinding light engulfed the battlefield.
The Blood Clan members were particularly vulnerable to the light, which inflicted devastating damage upon them.
Chris instantly recognized this as magic.
Dealing with mages was always troublesome, as they needed to chant incantations before attacking.
After the mage completed the chant, they engaged in a fierce fight with the vampires.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunfire cracked again as the Death Guards and Team Wolf members charged out of the darkness.
Once out in the open, they engaged the Dark World guards in a brutal fight.
Amidst the chaos, Chris spotted a few familiar faces-Lynx was among them.
Alongside Lynx were Phoenix and Tiger.
Lynx and the others fought fiercely, wielding military knives as they launched a relentless assault on the Dark World guards.
Within moments, all the Dark World guards were eliminated.
After two to three hours of battle, the Dark World operatives were completely wiped out.
As the battlefield quieted, everyone began to relax.
But just then, Chris felt an overwhelming sense of danger.
The aura was powerful and terrifying.
“No… I didn’t expect the Dark World to have cultivators hiding in the shadows,” Chris muttered, his expression darkening as he scanned the battlefield.
