DIEGO
“I found a vehicle like you said. I’m tracking down your location now.”
“Be fast with that, Arnold!” I yelled, changing my position quickly!
Anna almost sent her claws running through my neck from the back, but I was lucky to escape her attack.
Her behavior was getting worse by the minute, and her speed was really fast!
When I turned to look at Anna’s face, she looked like a roughshod beast out for blood. Her rage, the intensity in her speed… The substance is killing her.
She was hurting herself while dashing to get me, and… I couldn’t bear to see my girl like this.
When that lady went into this stage, there were a lot of men present to lend a hand, even though the tackling had to be done by someone strong.
But in Anna’s case, it’s just me. And the time is ticking.
Between the both of them, I fear that Anna’s level is way higher than that lady. She’s wilder and super active than her.
If we don’t get her to Jeremy quickly, I fear she might drop dead any moment. I’m… I’m disquieted about her.
I don’t want to lose my Anna.
“Alpha, are you still there?!” Arnold yelled out from the phone, gaining my attention.
I forgot he was still on call with me.
“Yeah, I’m here,” I responded, turning back to look at Anna again. Her movement had gone slow. She was acting… Strange.
“I’m almost close to your point. Jeremy also called. He’s thirty minutes away from Wolf Blood,” Arnold shared.
But my attention wasn’t fully on him. It was on Anna!
Something is happening to her!
She suddenly came to a stop and gave out a loud roar, “ARGH!” falling down on her knees right in the open quiet road!
“ANNA!” I called, heading back to check up on her.
“What’s happening over there? Is Anna okay?” Arnold asked out worriedly.
Unable to tell, I ordered my Beta while standing before Anastasia who was shaking on the floor, “Hurry up! She’s getting worse.”
“I’m on it,” Arnold said, ending the call.
I kept my phone in my pocket and called out to Anna, hoping this isn’t her wolf putting on a trick to get me.
“Say something?” I said, carefully reaching my hand to her shoulder.
When she lifted her head to look at me… “Di… Diego?”
“Anna?” I gasped when I heard my name from her mouth. It wasn’t the deep tone from earlier, it was hers!
And her eyes… “ANNA!!” I pulled closer, embracing her tight.
“Diego… Is… Is that you?!” She asked, shaking. She was struggling to hold herself or to even stare at me when I cupped her face to have a good look at her!
“It’s me,” I answered sadly, caressing her fur. “I’m here.”
“The drugs… I got it… It’s…”
“I know,” I interrupted, smiling at her. “You did wonderfully well. I’m… I’m proud of you.”
I saw a faint smile on Anna’s face when she heard that from me, but her condition was making it hard for her to stay put.
She was struggling to hold on much longer.
“Diego, she’s… Coming!” She groaned, trembling before me.
Her furs were rising. Even her eyes were switching uncontrollably, indicating her Wolf’s intense struggle to take over her body again.
With fright in her voice, Anna warned quickly, “Go!”
And immediately she said that, her eyes shifted to her wolf’s flashing hungry gaze.
When her wolf saw me, she grinned and tried to pin me down to the ground, but she couldn’t.
“AHH! STOP… RESISTING!!” She roared, grabbing her head while talking to Anastasia!
She’s trying to buy me sometime to run, but I’m not going to leave her.
This is the perfect time to get her down.
As Anna was struggling with her wolf, I saw a Van coming speedily to our direction. I don’t need anyone to tell me who’s that rough driving coming. It’s my Beta.
To make sure Anna’s wolf doesn’t stop this operation, I pulled down a sign pole which was close by and rushed up to her, grabbing both arm to the back and binding it together.
Her wolf was still scarmbling to overpower Anna. She couldn’t stop me even if she wanted to.
“Alpha!” Arnold called, parking the Van close to our point.
Together, we dragged Anna to the back. Her wolf didn’t want to stay down, but thanks to my girl, she got her wolf to get into the Van.
While shutting the door close, I saw Anna’s eyes looking at me. It had tears streaming down from her yellow balls.
The sight of it bruised my heart.
“It’s a good thing no vehicle was passing by at this hour,” Arnold said, looking into the quiet road.
“Did everyone suddenly vanish because of her?” He chuckled, turning to look at me. But he kept quiet when he realized I wasn’t smiling.
“Sorry about that.”
“It’s fine. Let’s get her to Jeremy,” I said, walking to the passenger seat of the Van.
Arnold got in and began driving out of Wolf Blood pack. He drove into the main road we came from, mixing our vehicle with other rides coming in and out of the pack.
“We haven’t gotten the drugs yet,” Arnold reminded me of the substance Anna stole from Damian.
He decided to reach out to my guard, whom we left behind, to go and fetch the bag himself.
“I’ll send him the address,” Arnold said, taking out his phone to contact him.
Me on the other hand, I was just concerned about Anna. Her wolf was silent at the back, and didn’t cause any drama like banging or yelling.
That added to my fear, causing my heart to pound heavily.
“Goddess, please don’t take her away from me. I don’t want to lose her,” I prayed within, getting tempted to stop the vehicle and check up on her.
RING! RING!! Arnold’s phone came buzzing out. He had to stop what he was doing and check who was calling.
When he saw who was buzzing him, “It’s Jeremy.”
Suddenly… BAM!
A strong force from the back came hitting Arnold’s seat, forcing my Beta to loose his grip on the wheel!
“FUCK!” He shouted, grabbing his arm!
“ARNOLD!” I grabbed the steering wheel to get it under control, but another bang came from the back, ruining my grip on the wheel!
The Van spun viciously on the road, knocking two cars out of our way, until our vehicle tumbled into the bushes, coming to a stop.
“Arnold… Arnold, are you okay?” I called from my seat where I was hanging, turning to check up on my Beta.
“Damn it! My arm hurts,” Arnold groaned.
The Van was trapped down from his point. He couldn’t get out from his door, unless I open mine and pull him out.
“I’m fine. I think I broke a bone,” He said, feeling his aching arm.
Trying to pull my seat belt off and help him out, my eyes fell on the huge bulge that caused the accident from Arnold’s seat.
That’s a fist. A strike from Anna!
That means her wokf has overpowered… “DIEGO!!” Arnold yelled out my name, looking at my door in shock!
Before I could turn and look for myself, I was pulled out roughly by Anna’s wolf, who had my body slammed to the ground, and her hand holding me tight from the neck.
She flashed her eyes at me and said, “I finally caught you.” She chuckled.
